Treated myself to some chocolate since I was in the area! Super clean Sees candy nestled right in the Crossings at Corona. I didn't get the name of the lady who helped me (she was wearing glasses!!) but she was so kind and super helpful while I chose some chocolates. She told me I could get more than the 2 (I was going to confine myself to the box but glad I didn't) and also gave me a delicious sample of a milk chocolate option they had. read more

On my way out from The Crossings at Corona, I noticed See's Candies. I couldn't help myself, but to check it out. I always enjoy a sweet visit at See's Candies ever since my early adult years. I just love chocolates! Upon entry, I was greeted by the staff which was nice. I was offered a free sample immediately... they have always offered free samples since the beginning of time... thank you See's! I got the Milk Butterchew... a chunk of caramel covered with milk chocolate... yummy and delicious! I walked around the shop just to see what they have for Easter. Lots of pretty pre-packaged boxes of chocolates... love the lavender wrapping paper! Gift cards are available. Special occasion cards are showcased for selection in case you need it on a whim. Very bright and lovely shop all around... love the black and white checkered look! Staff was very friendly and pleasant. They were patient in my selection process. I ended up getting a couple Milk Pecan Buds, a couple Milk Almond Buds, a couple Milk Butterchews, and a handful of Milk Raisins... my all-time favorites... sometimes I may include the Scotchmallow... another favorite of mine. Total bill was about $10+... it's $32 per lb nowadays. Pricing has definitely gone up, but I still love my See's! Will definitely visit See's again and again to get my favorite chocolates! Older petite black haired worker refused to allow an accommodation for my order that she had approved for another older white customer. I wanted to purchase a pound of chocolates with scottchmallows which she said they only had in the back in a bag. I had seen her instruct another employee to take the bag and place into a box for a customer who had asked. I assumed--incorrectly, unfortunately-- that the same accommodation could be made for my order. The employee refused and was short with me as I apologized in advance for the inconvenience but hoped they could help. Blatant display of racism and ageism on behalf of this employee which made a magical Christmas moment bittersweet. After many purchases at this location, I will not be returning as the display of racism and ageism has made me feel not welcome as a customer. read more

The main reason for 3 stars is because of the manager Karla . Because if I had to rate the lady that helped me name Vickey G I would rate this experience a negative -3. Vickey gave off an attitude as if she did not want to be at work today . I was slightly confused as to the candy I previously purchased in the past and I was left to almost figure it out on my own for several seconds of giving hints until I verbally asked her if she happened to have a picture of the candy . Vickey became very irritated as I noticed with her body language and tone . While standing there waiting I noticed another worker who I later found out was the manager and her name was Karla . Karla greeted her customers in such a friendly manner .. they seemed a little confused as well but she kept helping them until they felt comfortable . Vickey was so welcoming and warm . When Vickey G returned I let her know how rude she had been and she laughed / snickered . Be aware of Vickey G . I'm not sure how often Karla works but I hope you get to meet her . Here is some truth I hope you will enjoy. I really enjoy See's Candy. I always have enjoyed See's since I was a kid in the 1960's. Every time I walked into a See's a smile would grow ever so big on my face, I would begin to fill my eyes with everything that they put out on there store shelves well simultaneously I would use that nose of mine to check the room of all it's wonderful and amazing smells. Those three senses still check each store I walk into with respect and amazement ; amazement because See's Candies are consistent with their recipes in every store in every state. Amazing ! I've never met anyone who doesn't like See's Candy, but I just found one more reason I really like about them and it's not what you'd think. In buying some some treats for my wife and I, a man walked in who was appeared to be homeless. He sheepishly walked up yo the counter and very politely asked if he could have one piece of chocolate. The young lady behind the counter treated him with kindness, compassion and a warm smile when she greeted the gentleman. Remarkably she and treated him with respect and I'm sure made him for those few minutes like he was welcomed and the same as any other customer. The woman at See's was named Kendra and she reminded me that a little kindness can go a long way. Being homeless isn't something someone a person does by choice and is an extremely difficult life. During my Law Enforcement career I worked with more homeless than I can count. I've seen people abuse, ridicule, and act in manners that always made me wonder how people could be so cruel to others in need. I offer this review to bring attention to Kendra' selfless act as an example and how easy it is the touch another's life. I'm moving out of state and they don't have a See's candy there!!!! So I bought a few pounds of their chocolates before I have to go. I was able to get my order done on-line and then just go to their store door where they came to a setup table and then they went inside and got my order. Milk bordeauxs! Yes yes yes! Dark everything else. Lots of delicious candies here, including my favorites: apple pie, chocolate covered toffee, and the coconut creams. Free sample for visiting = a step above! This location isn't particularly my favorite (Riverside still holds that spot!), but it'll do when it's the only See's around. Love going to my local See's. Recently went Christmas stuff is all out. Had to wait outside in a line, Yvette was so kind to come out & give us packaged samples while we waited. I love to see the employees going the extra mile outside as well as inside with social distancing and masks. Yvette was also the greeter and made it a very welcoming experience. It's See's Candies, but the candies doesn't make this See's Candies remarkable to me but their people. The way they treat customers is like how I treat my chocolates, and that is, no holding back! I am not the type to shop in chocolate stores. I was just walking around and checking the boxes to see if I feel like buying anything. I did not. But they gave me free samples of my preference and even in the midst of my rainy mood that day, the chocolates reminded me how I like sweets. I don't hold back with my sweets. My sweet tooth helps me conquer any cloudy day. I usually ask to wrap my purchases but this store is an exception,they offer it to you.
