Our daughter had a free ice cream coupon from her elementary that expired on 3/29/20. So like the procrastinator I sometimes am I put in an order for our other kiddo on that very day & figured I could just walk in with the coupon since there wasn't a way to use it on the Cold Stone app. My husband was like, "Well, I want some too. Something with coffee." I knew he would "forget" to share with me, so I ordered myself some too. Our pick up order was ready in lightning speed. The staff seemed a bit bored. Gloves only. No masks or face coverings as they talked over the ice cream that they were scooping out for other orders. The location sucks. I'm usually bombarded by an individual asking for money. They never want you to buy 'em food. Not in my experience. This time was no different, although, I didn't ask if this particular dude wanted ice cream because he was more less hiding behind a column as soon as I walked out of the door.. Dude was already less than 6 feet away and started walking towards me. I wanted to yell back the F up, bro. Instead, I proceeded walking the opposite way towards my ride with a stop signal and "where's your PPE (personal protective equipment) at?" Dude seemed too high to figure out what the hell I meant so I kept walking. That was my "The Walking Dead" moment of the COVID-19 quarantine. The nice young man that retrieved my order for me from a nearby freezer apologized and stated that they weren't accepting the free ice cream coupons, but that they would be honored later. Dang it, I muttered, as I pulled out my phone. I had to order another ice cream for the kid who originally started this mess. Instead, the employee ended up making it on the house for me. The ice cream is alright. A bit overpriced for what you get. 1 x Create Your Own Creation / Cotton Candy Ice Cream / free mix-in Gummy Bears / "Like It™" size = $5.59 1 x Coffee Lovers Only® / "Like It™" size = $6.99 1 x Create Your Own Creation / Coffee Ice Cream / free mix-in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough / "Like It™" size = $5.99 Subtotal = $18.57 TAX = $1.76 Total = $20.33 Tips are appreciated. I'll be back hopefully sometime later this spring, but not without Michonne or my own katana to fend off possible Coronavirus-infected zombies. I'm kidding... I'll wield a electric cattle prod instead.

It would be nice if this place will stay open until 10pm, I got here at 932pm and they had the doors closed. In that case please change your hours

Forgot how good ice cream was until I had this piece. I came to cash in on a gift card of 10$. I decided to order a pint for myself since I wasn't craving ice cream at the moment. The smallest pint was 10$. I wasn't craving ice cream at the moment but I took one bite and I couldn't stop! The pint was good I finished half of it. I didn't want to eat the entire thing in one sitting so I had to save the mouth orgasm for later. I'll definitely be coming back for more ice cream. The French vanilla with one topping is simple and perfect.

I'm so used to it always being filled; at other cold stones sometimes I even have to say not a lot of chocolate chips. This is a large Oreo overload!! Hella skimpy!!

I went yesterday with my mom. We walked in and the three employees were hard at work. One employee made my moms and the other made mine. My mom was pretty disappointed because her ice cream was less than mine, my serving was quite bigger than hers. I previously worked at an ice cream shop and understand how difficult it is to keep the servings the same size. In my opinion the prices are on the higher side. We sat out front to enjoy our ice cream and ALL the tables were dirty.

I like Cold Stone Creamery because they have unique signature ice cream creations. I usually go frequently to this one because it's close to home. The staff is nice and have fair customer service. They take your order quickly and let you sample the new flavors. You can create your own but it's best to order their signature creations. This time I ordered the Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip signature creation. The ice cream is good and doesn't taste too sweet and it's creamy. If you sign up for their emails, then you get coupons and chances to gain points to get free ice cream.

    Missing all my toppings!

By far the worst Service I received at Cold Stone ever! I wanted to order by phone and the manager said no! Then I was having trouble with the online order and she wanted me to order as much as I could online and then the rest at the store??? Like really?? I ended up ordering online and still didn't get my order correctly! The order was totally correct on the receipt and they apparently couldn't read the order correctly! So upset! If you want your order correctly stay away from that Cold Stone! I literally ordered brownies, bananas and strawberries but look at the picture no toppings plain ice-cream but they sure did charge me! Worst ever!

Update: They're no longer affiliated with Fivestars!…read more I've since gone two additional times to try their waffle bites. My last trip was kind of spontaneous because I suddenly got a Fivestars reward that day for these waffle bites. However, when I arrived, I was looking for the Fivestars tablet only to be met by a Clover tablet instead. It felt like I went through a time warp because the employee working behind the register didn't seem to have any idea what I was trying to say regarding Fivestars, though he did notice a little trifold card on the front counter mentioning Fivestars. I asked if he could get his manager so I could explain, and even show, him my Fivestars reward. The reward said "already accepted", which he almost thought meant I had redeemed it already, but if that were the case, then it would have said "already redeemed". Given that they've now done away with Fivestars, I'm not too surprised he may have gotten the words "accepted" confused with "redeemed", but luckily, he was happy enough to honor it for me. The employee who assisted me was very helpful, though he did ask me to repeat the topping and the drizzle that I wanted. I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor ice cream with Fruity Pebbles toppings and a Strawberry drizzle on top. Since I had already tried the cookie flavors before, I figured I'd try the fruity flavors this time around. He said he needed about 5 minutes to prepare my waffle bites, which were presented a little different than last time. Last time, I got the Cookie Butter flavor with *Cookie* Crisp and Peanut *Butter* (see what I did there?), and it came in a small plastic takeout container. This one came in a large plastic cup, and I'm thinking the logistics may have changed a ton between my last two visits. I did appreciate how the employee asked if I wanted the waffles on top of or beneath the ice cream before making the waffle bites; I chose on top. He also asked if I'd like powdered sugar on top, to which I agreed. Unfortunately, neither of the waffle bites I got from my last two visits impressed me that much. As a matter of fact, the only thing that impressed me was the strawberry drizzle. Everything else fell kind of flat. While generous in size for the $8 price tag, the Cookie Butter and the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream didn't really taste like these flavors at all! For whatever reason, the peanut butter didn't add much flavor, but the strawberry drizzle added a lot! How even?! In short, the waffle bites weren't that much of an upgrade from the ice cream scoop that I had on my first visit. I'm willing to say "too much good was no good" here. The waffles themselves were good, but they can only do so much when a flavored ice cream doesn't even taste like that flavor. It's worth noting that on my penultimate visit, when I got the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, I saw two employees behind the front counter who were ready to take my order. I asked them to explain what the waffle bites were, but it took them a couple of tries to actually understand what I was asking. From what I gathered, the waffle bites were similar to the ice cream scoop I had on my first visit, but with the addition of a warm waffle to supplement the ice cream. However, the step-by-step process remains the same. I was initially told it would take 6 minutes to prepare the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, but it actually took 15! It seemed like one was training the other or they were trying to gather the ingredients and/or the steps needed to create the waffle bites. After about 10 minutes, I was told by one of the employees they had to make a new batch of waffles because the first batch had burnt. The music was getting pretty loud, so it was hard to hear him after that, but I didn't want to hold up the kitchen prep process any longer. I just said "Alright, sure" so he could continue preparing my order. I do appreciate how he let me know of this so that I'd know the reason for the extended wait, but I wish they weren't so ill-prepared during my visit. So overall, still 3 stars overall. I appreciate the prior partnership with Fivestars, but these missed opportunities have led me to believe that Cravings is just not for me. I doubt I'll try anything else on their ice cream menu, and considering that there are only a few parking spots in their lot, it will take a lot to get me to try their hot chicken. And speaking of lack of parking, I also want to mention that on my second visit, I saw two open parking stalls right in front of Cravings, one on either side of a car. That car had its driver's side wide open so that I couldn't park there. I had to park on the passenger side of that car, which he left much less room for. Perhaps a microcosm of the clientele in this part of town? Everybody deserves a second chance, right? Unfortunately, not everybody can make the most of them, and this is just one example of such. Thanks for the sweet treats Cravings, but I'll get my next one somewhere else.

The ice cream was a 5/5 for me, the toppings, and waffles combined well giving a crunch to the soft ice cream. Another perk was the eatery nextdoor!

But it was too late to make it to my usual Long Beach location which closes at 10pm. So, it was a pleasant surprise when i found out that the Downey Location closes at 11pm. So, this was my First time at this Downey location at the "Downey Landing" Outdoor Mall. Lots of parking available out front. This is one of the parlor style Handel's locations. I arrived at 10:15pm. There was a descent line but it was moving at a reasonable pace. You order at the window, you pay and wait for your order. The Space outside is nice with a limited amount of seating in a common area. The building is well lit and you can listen to some nice background music while you wait for your order or while eating. For those who don't know Handel's. Their ice cream is made in house daily at every location. And the flavors are seasonal. So, you wont always find the same fruit flavors. You'll also find different flavors at different Locations. Today i ordered 5 pints to go. Flavors in order were... Black Raspberry Chunk Peach Peanut butter parfait Key Lime pie Meri's Choice (never seen this one before) When i got home. I had a sample of each, and although they were all delicious. The 2 that stood out the most were the Peach (made with real peaches) and the Peanut butter parfait. The Key Lime Pie could also be a top place contender. In conclusion. The Ice Cream is always excellent at Handel's. The portions are generous. The prices are reasonable and the service is always good. I once again highly recommend trying them out if you have not already.

Although the shop operates as a walk-up window with limited seating, upbeat music playing throughout the outdoor area creates an inviting atmosphere. The line moved efficiently despite the steady stream of customers, and the staff remained friendly throughout our visit. Best of all, the portion sizes are incredibly generous. A small serving is practically three scoops, offering excellent value. **Strawberry Ice Cream (Waffle Bowl): 5/5** Handel's truly elevates a timeless favorite with this exceptional strawberry ice cream. It had an irresistibly creamy texture while allowing the fresh, vibrant flavor of real strawberries to shine through in every bite. The crisp, freshly made waffle bowl added a delicious buttery crunch that perfectly complemented the luscious strawberry ice cream. **S'mores Ice Cream (Chocolate-Dipped Waffle Bowl): 3/5** This rendition of the beloved campfire treat had plenty of potential but ultimately missed the mark. While the ice cream itself was smooth and velvety, the graham cracker flavor overshadowed the toasted marshmallow and chocolate notes. The chocolate-dipped waffle bowl added a crisp textural contrast and a subtle hint of chocolate, but it wasn't enough to make up for the otherwise one-dimensional flavor profile. While our experience was somewhat hit-or-miss, Handel's demonstrated why it has earned such a loyal following. With its extensive selection of flavors and substantial portions, we're excited to return and explore more of the menu.

Searching down the map for the drive back from LA, saw this interesting thing. And great reviews from others sealed the deal to try it out. Online ordering with pick up time was very convenient. Driving down, got a text about 5 min before pick up time, just perfect. Cute and super clean store. Friendly gal grabbed the order for me and I was off in no time. Got the party pack (30) for the school staff, and of course had to try for myself too with a regular (9). Ended up being an hour and a half before I got around to trying our box of 9. Looked interesting enough. Kid took his bite and said yum. I took mine to the sink (lol) to catch any crumbs, but surprised me that it's not just a ball of a regular donut. This had an amazingly satisfying crispy crunchy exterior, with an airy chewy interior! I can't imagine how much better it would be when freshly made at the store! Even an hour and a half later was delicious... Me and the kid quickly devoured our 3 each and struggled to leave 3 for wife before we had to go to an activity. When we returned, wife was also raving, what was that, where did you get it? Trust me, you will not be able to eat just one. I'm greedy, I definitely want more than 3 next time! Donut ball itself wasn't overly sweet, just delicious period. I guess it's the toppings that add the sweetness. Only tried the classic (honey cinnamon, walnut). The other flavors will probably be amazing desserts, but I think all I need is just the donut ball by itself. Honey and walnut adds a bit of sweetness and bite, but the base donut ball is a shining star on it's own in my book! Good thing was the honey was mostly on the bottom and walnut crumbles on top, so you can rub as much or not of those as it fits you. Few days later, each of us were still talking about this greek donut. Just looking for a reason to grab this again. Father's day is coming up, I think it's time for a Party!

I was dying for an ice cream sandwich but theirs featured oreos as the cookie so I passed. Hubby got vanilla ice cream, his go to flavor, and i tried the blueberry cobbler. His scoop was a little larger than mine, so that was a bit annoying. He enjoyed his vanilla. The blueberry cobbler was divine; the vanilla was swirled with a good amount of blueberry that tasted fresh. The "cobbler" bits were pieces of sugar cookie, which were not bad but not much flavor, just sugary. There were crumbles as well as little cookie bits.
