Stopped in Bradford after visiting relatives. The host was so accommodating to my elderly parents. Asked for a seat near a window. He readied a table overlooking the golf course. The linguine and three huge meatballs were a hit. Of course we needed to go boxes. The tomato sauce was delicious. The salads and bean salad were enjoyed. The specialty pizza is so creative and delicious! We had the Native Vermonter and the Bolognese, both were fantastic. One thing to be aware of when ordering: there are different wait times for ordering by phone and online (online is longer). We got there faster than we thought to pick up our order. The Colatina Exit is one of the better restaurants in the area. It has been around now for at least 15 years. Located right in the heart of downtown Bradford, on old US route 5. (Main Street). It is small, quaint, and very Vermont. Great pizza and traditional Italian fare are offered on the menu. Often, they have either live music or karaoke. which is a fun way to spend a cold and lonely evening in rural Vermont. read more

I've been going to the Colatina Exit since it first opened 50 years ago! Lots of changes, but the pizza is still one of the best in the Upper Valley. DELISH Ordered takeout for the first time tonight while staying in the area and it was excellent. The online ordering and the curbside pickup was very easy. My husband got the Steak and Frittes Fiorentina, medium rare and I got the Meatballs Amatriciana. We had a 20 minute ride back to our accommodations and I was concerned that the steak would be over cooked and the food would be cold by the time we got back but I have to say, the food was still warm and the steak was done to perfection. My meatballs were very tasty and the sauce was flavorful. I am not a big fan of linguini but I have to admit, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was nice to have a quality meal that wasn't fast food. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely stop here again when we am in the area. read more

We ordered 2 pizzas & garlic wings. The pizza was so dry there was only a little bit of sauce the crust was hard & awful. The cheese was also over cooked. We wanted to try the take out again because everyone said they have improved. The pizza were Neapolitan cheese with pepperoni 1 with pepperoni & black olives. I am on a fixed income & 40.00 dollars is a lot for me. The girl who took my husbands order said we have a special tonight I told him he should of ordered just 2 regular pizzas. Rolled up in a Nissan , we all headed to the top floor. Ambiance is great, good bar area, real cozy. Our service was on point and better than it was 10 years ago when I used to live up in this area. The facility is very nice. The Beer menu had something for everyone, and the option to have the lunch menu specials was great, at dinner time. The one thing I can nit pick, is that my chicken parm sandwich was very average. It did not seem fresh, the chicken was frozen in my opinion. It was ok not great! Went to lunch with some family members today. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer and it was very good. Calamari was perfect and we loved the dipping sauce with it. We also ordered two pizzas (one pepperoni and one sausage). The pizzas were also excellent! Meats were great, good amount of sauce, cheese/toppings, and great texture and crust. The food was very reasonably priced and presented well. The restaurant is very comfortable and nicely decorated. My husband and I stay in the middle-of-nowhere New Hampshire, and Bradford is one of the last towns we pass through before hitting the boondocks, so it is usually our go-to place to grab a bite to eat. I had intended on going to the Perfect Pear again (it's been over a year and they have since closed), and the Millwaters wasn't yet open, so we decided to give Colatina a try despite it's 3.5 star Yelp rating. We are in our early thirties, well traveled and spoiled by good food experiences. These days we come equipped with a pretty adorable infant-so I'm always looking for places where she'll be welcomed. I will say things got off to an inauscpicious start when our waitress came over. We had a few minutes with the menu, but were rushed to make a decision on our mains. There were quite a few good looking items and I was having a hard time deciding. The waitress curtly explained "I'm just here for your drink order." It was a relief, but something about her tone just put me off (maybe it's the post-baby hormones, or maybe I'm just :::sniff::: sensitive). Hubs and I ordered a beer each, and we were both pretty impressed with the local offerings on tap. The baby was asleep, but she too would've been impressed, I'm sure. We ended up ordering two pizzas and a seasonal salad. I explained to our waitress that we were vegetarian, but I really liked the 'Vermonter' (red sauce, spinach, carmelized onions, vermont cheddar and apples with a maple balsamic glaze) and the BBQ Chicken pizza (subbing eggplant for chicken). She didn't make me feel at all a pain for asking to vegetarianize things and she was super pleasant. She brought over delicious bread and a roasted garlic oil for dipping (really awesome). My salad had a homemade creamy dill dressing (I'm a sucker for condiments) that was really, truly fantastic. The veggies within were fresh and crisp too. no complaints! We ordered another round of beers (baby? still asleep) and got our pizzas. Unfortunately the BBQ pizza was prepared with chicken. The waitress apologized and swept it away to be re-made. A moment later the hostess came to our table to also apologize. She also took our salad off the bill (a lovely gesture, but not necessary). We tucked into the Vermonter Pizza and it was AWESOME. Seriously delicious flavors which worked so well together (carnivores take note, the original version included locally sourced bacon!). By the time we'd each had two slices of that pizza, the BBQ returned and was also met with our rave reviews. By this time, the baby had awoke and she got some bread and pizza which she also seemed to enjoy. The ambiance is warm and homey, with many of the tables boasting a traditional melty candle atop an ol Chianti bottle. We were seating in a back nook, near the kitchen and wood fired oven and we felt very cozy and happy. My husband and I have been coming to the area for years and couldn't believe we missed this little gem. We'll be back and I hope Colatina gets some good reviews. Wonderful restaurant on the main drag of Bradford. We had Brunch there several weeks ago. You know the story of me and good bread, we are so spoiled in Chittenden County with all the great bread, this restaurant had very good bread. My tenderloin and egg dish was excellent ,meat done according to my taste medium rare and perfect poached eggs...you know how poached eggs sometimes still have the moisture from the cooking medium, these must have been first put on paper towels before being served. My husband is a Calzone nut, and he pronounced his dish very good. The server was attentive he seated us next to the window overlooking the country club. By the way the price was most reasonable. If we are that way again we will certainly go there. read more

A neat little place in Bradford VT. Bradford is a very small town, and this is one of maybe three restaurants in their 'downtown.' it's really quite good Italian food, better than you'd expect for such a rural setting. We were there for a private party and we ordered quite a few things off of their menu that turned out to be excellent. Nothing super-fancy, but done really well. Their eggplant parm and pasta was cooked perfectly and was delicious, as was their spaghetti and meatballs, as was their chicken piccata. Really rich and tasty stuff. Meh: the pizza was perfectly decent, but nothing too special. We'd ordered one cheeseless one that was more burnt than anything. The bruschetta tasted fantastic, but was a little too soggy. And they had an alfredo pasta dish that just tasted like dairy and not much else. Kinda heavy. The bar itself was really nice. Lots of old, dark wood and tables with backgammon and chessboards set in the finish. There was plenty of Vermont microbrew available, which was nice. And the service was excellent. There was a minor holdup with the credit card reader, but that was a technical problem and you can't really hold that against them, y'know? So a good time was had by all. If you ever end up in the Bradford Vermont area and you need to go out for a bite, there's plenty of solid food to be had here. read more

We have been coming to Colatina Exit in Bradford, VT ever since I was a child. We went most recently on a Sunday night as a family to celebrate my sister's birthday. Sunday nights at Colatina feature Marko The Magician performing table-side magic. It was definitely a highlight of the meal to have him come over and perform . We sat upstairs and had a great view out over the golf course with the mountains in the background. The quality of the food here depends on what you order. My sister and I shared a large Buffalo Stampede pizza. She said the chicken and blue cheese appeared as if it had all been food-processed together and then spread over the dough. Not very appetizing to look at. It could have had more blue cheese flavor (maybe blue cheese dressing drizzled over the top) and needed some hot sauce to really make it a Buffalo chicken style pizza. The overall taste was just okay. The shrimp and scallop carbonara was very good, with lots of bacon and a creamy sauce. The portion was large enough to take home for lunch the next day. We would order it again. Compared to the portion of the shrimp and scallop carbonara, the chicken and broccoli alfredo pasta was the opposite: the general consensus was that it could have used more chicken, more broccoli, and more noodles. Overall we had a good experience at Colatina Exit and we will continue to make trips to Bradford to go there in the future. read more

Such a poor meal and experience. I ordered an hour and a half in advance for pick up. I waited an extra 15 minutes past the time I requested. I ordered two meals with salad. what I got was two meals with rolls and oil- no salads. Shame on me for not checking in the bag. When I arrived at home, my husband opened the eggplant parm container, a bug flew out! I will never get food there again. Definitely not worth one star...save your money read more

Very very disappointing experience tonight. One star is too many. Past visits were good, but not this time. The server made us feel rushed as soon as we sat down. It was mot busy so it's not like they were trying to move things along. One dish came out with a very small serving. When we asked for our server, since we had not seen her in a while, the manager came over. When we said we were disappointed and surprised in the size of the serving, he just said that was the dish and did not show concern. We had to flag another person down, since still no server, and asked for drink refills and stated our concern again. He told the manager who eventually made amends on the bill, but that was not what we expected. An easier fixed would have been to rectify the issue with the meal, and tell the server to pay attention to their table. This would have been a more acceptable fix, as what we wanted was a nice meal, and were ready to pay for it. We didn't see the server at all the rest of the night. We used to frequent this place but this visit will be our last. If the industry wants people back after this pandemic then they should illustrate that they are thankful for the business. read more

Poorest of service, food average. Don't bother with this place. Go one block down the street and go to the Little Grill instead. We have eaten here before, and one night my wife and I ordered two subs for take out. They took our order over the phone and told us it would be one hour until they were done and I gave them my phone number. Because of their COVID-19 procedures, I had to wait on the sidewalk in the rain with other take out customers. Waited 20 minutes and then the waitress told me they didn't put my order in because the call was dropped. I told her that the clerk that took the order should have called me back, and to put my order in right away, but she told me she wasn't sure how long I would have to wait for the subs. Very poor kitchen management and operations management. Their COVID-19 procedures are a nightmare. Skip this place and go to the Little Grill. Better food, and much better customer service there. read more

You might not know this, but Colatina Exit caters! They catered our wedding, and did an absolutely fantastic job. Ang and Vin (the proprietors) are consummate professionals. They worked with us on our menu, and charged a very reasonable price per person. We had appetizers, garlic bread, salad, spaghetti, pizza, the works! All our guests absolutely loved the food. They delivered the food, brought their own chafing dishes, set up, served the buffet, and cleaned up! If you're in the Piermont/Bradford area and need a caterer, you can't go wrong with Colatina Exit. read more
