Sarducci's had a reputation amongst the locals so I came in with high expectations. I was here with a group so thankfully had the opportunity to try many things on the menu. Starting with drinks, there were a few cocktail specialties listed as well as an assortment of beer and wine. I started with the maple cream martini (when in Vermont, right?) which came out quickly and was as sweet as you would imagine but with a pleasant kick. There should be a warning to drink it fast before it starts to separate because it eventually became a curdled mess that no longer looked appetizing. I also ordered the Sarducci's Sangria which didn't look like the sangria's I'm used to, but I kept an open mind. The taste was just okay for me. Many of the other guests were enjoying their beer choices however. Appetizers were shared and we had a loaf of bread with olive oil, calamari fritta, shrimp cocktail, and bruschetta. These were all served as one would expi. Nothing special, but none of them were bad. I do generally see free bread for the table at Italian restaurants typically but I digress. For main courses, I only got to try two, but the feedback was generally positive. I personally loved the pasta special. The steak was plentiful and the peppercorn cream sauce was delicious. I also appreciate the generous heap of fresh parmesan that you can have added tableside. The penne ala vodka was also delicious with the smoked chicken added. Most people cleaned their plates or came close to it, so I'd say the mains were everyone's favorite course. For dessert I ordered the Italian lemon cream cake and found it to be light, and rich at the same time. It didn't taste as strongly of lemon as I expected, but I still enjoyed every bite. I also got to taste the maple gelato and it was delightful. Overall, this was a pleasant experience. Our waitress was attentive and the ambiance is comfortable. Easy choice for a date or business meal.

Passing by Montpelier on a recent road trip through Vermont and looking for dinner. This small local Italian restaurant looked like the place. We had polenta with dries tomato and mushroom cream sauce, salad, and baked sausage. It was all delicious! The service great and we would return if ever in the area again.

We were on a tour and our guide "recommended" this place. Everything was delicious. Service was great. Decent wine list. It's a nice little place be the river so you got lunch with the view. I loved my linguini al pascatore. It was little garlic-y but overall great. Caprese salad had good balsamic drizzle (but it felt like weird with greens on the side). In summary, we had a great meal and I would recommended this place.

I enjoyed my chicken Caesar wrap. I would have preferred a little more Caesar dressing. I like mine wet. Not a big fan of the french fries as I don't like french fries coated in whatever these are coated in. My wife did not like her Caprese sandwich at all. She felt the bun was toasted too dark. And it had a distinct burnt taste. Also being a Caprese salad it should have had some basil. However, there was no basil on the sandwich. The waitress was very pleasant.

I had higher expectations based on previous reviews and ambiance, but I wish we had stopped elsewhere. Missing the basil from a caprese is a major miss, obviously burnt bread on a $16 sandwich? Unacceptable Sad to leave most of it. The server didn't ask if there was an issue. Not recommended.

Better than my meal at the North End in Boston! Blue cheese salad dressing was spot on. Veal was so tender it melted in my mouth. Pasta and sauce added to the flavor. I was very surprised and was very pleased. Sat outside which was a perfect ambiance, just a little chilly. Waitress was very good, even with the restaurant being so busy.

Stopped here on our first stop (#10) of our US Capitals journey. Being a Monday, many restaurants in Montpelier are closed. Not a busy city. But Sarducci's was busy. Lots of space inside, outside and on the porch. Didn't care too much for the table we got (in the corner), but the service was good and so was the food. Food came quickly and was hot.

With Montpelier's devastating floods this past July that rivaled California's winter ones, there was only a handful of eateries open in downtown for dinner. Burgers and crepes while fun for lunch wasn't our first choice for dinner so decided to wait that hour for Sarducci's. Was it worth the wait? Answer would be yes. Baked scallops and breaded shrimp with garlic lemon capers with linguine and wood charred salmon with risotto, ate every bite including every drop of sauce. If our arrival time wasn't so up in the air since we were driving in that day, reservations would be the way to go as that wait can be brutal when it's colder.

I had a wonderful night with my partner at this amazing, quiet, dim lit restaurant. The food was delicious, and the desserts were even better. I recommend getting a speciality because it comes with a side salad, which is the perfect way to start the meal. The waiters are very polite every time we go. Have gone a few times, and will go again!

Great location right on the river and on warm days they open up the windows so you can catch some sun and see it sparkle on the water. Food was good, I got the Bolognese and my wife got the lobster ravioli with shrimp. We also shared some bruschetta The only Stout they had was Guinness in a can but it still tasted good. My wife had a dry Chardonnay and she liked it. I also tried the local cider, which was OK. Overall a nice little Italian joy right downtown with a great location and friendly people. I would bet Bernie Sanders eats here when he's in town, although I didn't ask the waitress.

The Chicken Al Pollo was delicious! Super flavorful and came out so quick. We were seated promptly even though it looked super busy. The overall ambiance is inviting and lively yet approachable. Service was excellent by the team and overall a great dining experience

4.5 stars. Where to eat in the Capitol city? I relied on Yelp and boy did it come through for us. The restaurant was very crowded when we arrived- thankfully, we had a reservation. The service was very good while the food was excellent. Our charcuterie platter started us off coupled with a loaf of bread that was fresh and accompanied with different garlic. My Mediterranean chicken dish with sun dried tomatoes and feta was great- if in the area again, this dish is worth repeating. A lot of food, good service, full bar and reasonably priced. Salads accompanied our entrees. No room for dessert though but definitely worth visiting if In Montpellier.

The food was alright, but avoid the Peroni on draft. It tasted like bud light, had two sips from a pint and that was it.

After our delightful first visit, my wife and I knew we had to come back to Istanbul Kebab House…read morefor a proper meal. Last week, we decided to turn our date night into something special with dinner at this Turkish gem followed by a Broadway musical, Newsies, at the Flynn Center. We made a reservation in advance, as this spot is quite popular in the evenings - especially when there's a play happening nearby. The ambiance was inviting and warm, with soft lighting and traditional Turkish decor creating a perfect setting for a romantic evening. The service was exceptional, and our server, Alexandra B., made the experience even more memorable with his attentiveness and friendly demeanor. We started with the Small Meze Platter ($16.99), an excellent choice for sharing. The platter featured haydari, hummus, babaganoush, Turkish salsa, and stuffed grape leaves, all served with soft lavash bread. For those seeking a gluten-free option, fresh-cut veggie sticks are available. Each dip and spread was bursting with flavor, making this a must-try appetizer. For the main course, I chose from the Earthenware Casseroles and ordered the Lamb Guvec ($27.99). The tender, marinated lamb pieces combined with tomato, mushroom, onion, pepper, and eggplant were served sizzling hot, and the aroma alone was irresistible. It was hearty, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the recommended 9oz glass of Vinkara red wine ($16.50). My wife selected the Chicken Adana Kebab ($22.99) from the Traditional Kebabs menu. The mildly spicy, hand-ground chicken seasoned with Turkish maraş pepper and parsley was grilled to perfection and served with Turkish rice pilav, a side of greens, house pickled red cabbage, and marinated onions. She enjoyed every bite and complemented her meal with a 9oz glass of Ancyra white wine ($16.50), which was light and refreshing. To close the evening, we indulged in a classic Turkish dessert, Baklava ($9.99). The layers of fresh phyllo, walnuts, and crushed pistachios, finished with a simple syrup, were the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Istanbul Kebab House continues to impress with its excellent food, cozy ambiance, and impeccable service. Whether it's a casual dinner or a special occasion, this restaurant is a must-visit in Burlington. We'll definitely be back again!

Since the moment we sat down it felt like we were being rushed out of the place, we would take a last bite (or even have a few bites left of each dish) and a server would swoop in and clear our plate literally as I'd finish scooping a bite off of it. One time I had a plate under a piece of food (food that was from a separate plate the dish was originally served on) and the waiter came over and tried clearing thins and was like "can I get that one too" as if they were desperately relying on every single plate to get back to the kitchen ASAP. Very bizarre. I never had such a poor serving experience until this last visit this past week. Additionally, portion size and cost are still pushing the limits. $4 PER PITA. Give me a break. Half of the dishes we ordered need and/or do better with a pita and you're going to charge $4 per pita. Two people, two "main dishes" (salad and chicken wings - only 6 wings) and one side dish (muhammara), and one drink each... total of $150 (including tip) seems extremely extravagantly priced. I will reiterate - food is very flavorful, fresh, comes out hot, and would recommend highly if that's all the review was based upon. Unfortunately, everything else was sub par and I'm feeling let down by what used to be a total favorite place to eat. Womp womp.

Honestly, I was hoping to have a soup of some type but there was none available on the menu so I opted for the chicken salad Sandwich (didn't seem a very Turkish fare), but it was good...although the Sandwich needed more chicken salad to offset the thick Texas toast; there really was very little on the Sandwich. My husband had their PLT, a sandwich that had more substance to it (there was more bacon on it than there was chicken on my sandwich)...but again, both sandwiches tasted good. To drink we tried a couple of their cocktails and while tasty and unique they were very speedy, $16 is far too much to charge for them...the price definitely prevented me from having another, and when we go back to have dinner...we probably will skip drinks (not worth $32 for two people.) Don't get me wrong, we aren't cheap people, we just want a good value...the drinks aren't that. Our server was great! He was friendly, helpful, and there when we needed him. Couldn't have asked for more from him. We did also have a hot appetizer. I forget the name of it now, it was $9 for 2, deep fried rolls (like egg rolls of a sort but with Philly dough and filled differently), these were very good...I could have eaten several, I wish I remembered what they were, but they are last on the list of hot appetizers so you can find them.
