This is my 2nd time here and we brought friends and family because the first experience was amazing. This time was NOT as memorable. The service was slow (40 minutes to get our food that our waitress so annoyingly told us 'you came right after the rush') and it was 67 degrees inside with AC blowing. Outside was cold so most were shivering in the restaurant. Sage P could have helped make things better if she had been gracious and apologetic (she needed to take the brunt of it) because we were obviously unhappy. On the food side the brisket, veggie pizza and Mumbai sandwich was amazing. The grilled cheese underperformed. Almost needs something to make it more than what I can throw together in my kitchen which isn't saying much. Hopefully 3 will be the charm. read more

Dropped in to purchase another gift card! Decided to treat myself and finally sit for a late lunch and was super happy! Ryan at the bar was incredible, so friendly. The pork belly lettuce wraps are oh my goodness super flavorful! The pickled onion, marinated cabbage and pickles such a great compliment to the fresh picked lettuce leaves and crunchy pork bellies, YUM! The decor is absolutely stunning. Sleek, clean industrial look. The service was also very good. The reason for only 2 stars was strictly the food. Very disappointing. We came for Saturday brunch. The menu was interesting and creative. I had the shrimp and grits and unfortunately they are the worst I've ever had. The shrimp were truly tiny and the grits were almost non-existent. The sauce was so loose it could only be eaten with a spoon. My guest had the spring rolls and a side of smoked chicken salad. She ate half of a spring roll and said it wasn't good and it was actually surprisingly spicy. She did enjoy the chicken salad. Like others have mentioned, the food is overpriced, and if the portions or quality was there, the price would be warranted but not even close. I will say the drink menu was interesting and I could see coming back for happy hour but I would never eat here again. I Loved it here. I felt totally at Home here. Was Welcomed from the Minute we Walked in. Everybody is so Friendly. The Food Amazing. Healthy in Mind and they offer Vegan and Gluten free.It's not just a Restarunt. It is a Fresh Organic Market when you walk that offers Fresh vegetables and Fresh Baked Bread & Goods. I Highly recommend it. Kid friendly outside keeping them busy playing in the Sand and some Games they can play together while their Parents can Enjoy a fresh Amazing Concoction that you never tasted before. With a Very Talented Bartender who is as Enthralling as his Drinks. They're Magical The Wait Staff are beyond Wonderful. We have the Best Time and can't wait to go back. Ok, this place is just what I was looking for! It's adorable inside and spacious fun outdoors. We had all the bread and cheese and it was fabulous. Definitely recommend the grilled cheese and the chef's pie (with burrata....yumm)! The grilled cheese was probably the best I've had and it comes with tomato bisque and a salad. The vinaigrette on the salad was so, so good! Our waiter was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We can't wait to go back to try brunch! The service was awesome the atmosphere is really Charming. My companion ordered the smoked brisket which was very tasty the sweet potato whipped with the marshmallows was delicious I got the steak it didn't really have much flavor just tasted like a steak it came with asparagus and sauce. It is a kid's Friendly restaurant there was a gentleman playing music out on the back patio but it was a little bit loud in the restaurant itself very hard to hear conversation because the speaker music from outside and the ceilings made a little difficult to have a quiet conversation. They have a menu that has smaller plates personally I thought the pricing was a little high for the portion. Personally I'm glad I tried this place but there are some really good restaurants in Stuart and Vero that I would prefer going to for the price I paid for the total meal this is just my opinion. What a great and unique place. I had the smoked bone marrow with sourdough and the Brunswick stew. Delicious! Great outdoor vibe. Music playing, kids and their family playing corn hole, and some people sitting by the fire pit. I bought their tomatoes in the Market which were pricey but the best taste. They taste like they came from your own garden. I forgot what tomatoes should taste like. Can't wait to come back here. read more

Absolutely abysmal experience at brunch today, on every level possible except the service from our waitress. After waiting approximately 45 minutes for a table, we were escorted to a table that was recently vacated by a family, and the chairs and floor underneath were covered in bits of food and pieces of crayon. We stood around for a bit while they shook off the chairs and swept the floor with no apology, and ordered right away. After about 50 minutes to an hour, a manager came over and let us know that they are aware that our food is running way behind and asked if she could get us anything. We told her that our food would be a good thing to have, and she informed us that she'd let the kitchen know (??) About another 15 minutes later, the food came out but was missing a couple of sides that they were still preparing (??) Towards the end of our meal, my 11 year old son took a sip of his water and pulled a shard of glass out of his mouth. We immediately stopped eating or drinking and informed the manager, so that she could check the rest of the glassware in her kitchen. When the bill came, we were told the manager removed our son's meal and the deviled egg appetizer from the check. It is unfathomable that they didn't comp the entire meal with a huge apology, but I suppose it makes sense with how the place is ran to begin with. The only saving grace was our attentive and apologetic server, but I would never recommend or return to this embarrassment of a restaurant again. read more

I had such high hopes for this place. I really appreciated the concept and the atmosphere, nice people, good service I loved the idea and wanted to love the food. Unfortunately, it was never great. Early on I thought it was better and more interesting than it is now. This last trip was very disappointing. We ordered three different things to share between three of us. We had the hummus appetizer, the chopped salad, and the shrimp and grits. Everything was perfectly mediocre. I don't think we cleaned one of the plates. Four stars for the atmosphere, and the effort and two stars for the food. Stuart still needs a good brunch. read more

Absolutely gorgeous place that we stumbled upon through Yelp! Got off of the interstate and search for food and this came up 4.5 stars. Smiling friendly staff. Fantastic salad bowl wonderful smoked fish and a gorgeous outdoor lawn area where my son could play while we waited for food. Picked up some greens and smoked fish for mom. I'm giving this place 3 stars because as a family of vegetarians and pescatarians there's not much there for us. It's primarily a bbq place that says it's farm to table, but I think it should be called slaughterhouse to table cause that's about all the options you have. Also VERY expensive for what amounts to a bbq joint. It's not quite clear what exactly they're going for there but it's loud, and weirdly organized. We made reservations and were sat next to a high traffic zone for the kitchen and waitstaff. The food is served on what looks like prison trays which makes it hard to eat with a fork and knife but I guess if you're there to just shovel meat in your face, who needs a fork and knife?! read more

This review is for the "general store" in front. Stopped there yesterday because my friends had been raving about the salad greens and vegetables and baked goods they get from the cute little store in front when you first walk in. I bought a big bag of beautiful baby salad greens and a slice of lemon/lavender bundt cake. Also got a cup of coffee from their self serve coffee machine that grinds the beans fresh after you make your selection on the simple touch screen. So... loved the super fresh greens for salad last night! My friends say the Colab salad greens last waay longer than lettuces you buy at the grocery stores, so I will be interested in confirming that. Grocery store salad greens do seem to go all wilty and watery way too fast, I think. The bundt cake was fresh, moist, and flavorful. Perfect with the coffee. Now this was the surprise of my day... I find that, often, the decaf coffee I get out is not very good (stale, weak, etc...) and certainly not as good as coffee I make fresh at home. However, while at Colab, I was craving a coffee and noticed their self serve coffee machine and thought I'd try it... not expecting too much. I opted for the decaf, as it was late afternoon. I wasn't expecting an excellent cup of coffee to come out of a machine AND decaf at that... Well! I was so surprised! This was a very delicious rich fresh full flavorful well-roasted well-rounded cup. I could not even tell it was decaf! This I really enjoyed and savored each sip. I may sound silly going on about coffee, but it's so hard to find good coffee out anywhere! It was a pleasant surprise! I am eager to come back with friends and experience lunch here. I'm sure I will be back for more salad greens, baked goods, and..... yes, coffee from a machine. read more

Loved the open space of the restaurant, along with an outdoor area and a place that is kid friendly for the parents. Waiter did such a great job explaining everything to us, since it was our first time and made some great recommendations! Everything was delicious! We got the deviled eggs, then we each ordered a sandwich, smoked turkey and brisket, and divided in half. Both so good but hands down the brisket was the better of the two. I've only visited for Sunday brunch which is a fairly set menu, meaning the kitchen doesn't like to deviate from the offerings, changes to the omelette, etc. The hash is a bit bland and not a typical hash, to add salt and pepper I had to request both to be bright to the table. The food is OK. The service is adequate but nothing special. The setting and restaurant itself are lovely and perfect for kids and adults. I look forward to trying dinner in the future for a different aspect of the menu. read more

I went to Colab with some friends for lunch. Two of us ordered the brisket sandwich, and we were both quite disappointed. There was such a large amount of fat on the meat that we had to take our sandwiches apart to remove some of the fat and reassemble the sandwich before eating. I am aware that brisket can be a fatty meat, and a little bit of fat actually enhances the taste. But, in this case, you wouldn't believe the pile of fat left over on my plate! I should have taken a photo of it, but I didn't want to make a fuss. I did call our waitress over to ask her to please tell the chef about removing the top fat on the brisket before serving it and to show him the pile of fat that was on my plate. No accommodation was made on this $19 sandwich. read more

My favorite restaurant. Menu changes often and is inventive with dishes that are both familiar (to this southern woman) and adventurous. Service is always awesome and the setting is both family friendly and great for a special occasion. They fill a niche that no one else has here in Stuart. Adorable environment, lovely staff....had the frittata....tasted rusty from the skillet they served in it, and was also cold. The toast they served with it could a cause a serious trip to the dentist! Hard as a rock!!! Tried several time to rectify, but the waitress kept forgetting to bring needed items & then never checked to see how everything was, once it arrived. So I simply gave up! Thank goodness for team work, bc other servers brought what I needed, but you had to be quick getting their attention as they zipped back and forth. read more
