Alan is excellent... jus a human treasure that is incredibly kind, charismatic, and friendly. He is very knowledgeable, honest, dependable, transparent, and responsive. I could go into all the intricate details about how he's a brilliant metal artist that will go above and beyond to engineer and construct your custom, hand crafted jewelry to your exact specifications an then sell it to you at a ridiculously reasonable price... but, I'll just say, "you will not be disappointed doing business with this man." Alan's quality of business, customer service and product is on another level. He will absolutely dominate your next jewelry project and exceed your expectations. Give him a buzz and throw some boujie bling at the ol lady... she'll loooooove it! Sincerely, Deaner read more

It's crazy how fast time flies. I've worked with Alan and now Jose for nearly 30 years. I purchased my wife's engagement ring and various other pieces through the years and most recently a diamond tennis bracelet. I would not make a purchase like this with anyone else. They are extremely knowledgeable about their business and patiently explain the why's and why not's of various items. Their customer service is almost unrecognizable these days. They are so kind and pleasant to deal with. I cannot recommend enough working with Alan and Jose at Cohen Diamond. read more

Alan was absolutely amazing. We worked with him to design and create an engagement ring. My fiancé had a sense for what she wanted--simple and classic solitaire--but we were both new to buying fine jewelry. Alan was incredibly patient with both of us and took the time to educate us not only on the basics of diamonds but also on the elements of timeless design and craftsmanship. He sent us samples of five different mountings so that my fiancé could find her favorite and shared multiple design iterations until we had the perfect match. My fiancé is absolutely thrilled with her ring and I'm grateful to have had such a trustworthy, helpful partner in this process. Working with Alan was a fantastic experience, and we will definitely go back to him in the future. My fiancé and I hands-down give Alan and his team the highest recommendation possible! read more

Alan was a true gem to work with! He produced our dream ring and provided us with education and expertise along the way. He was referred to us by a friend who was a previous client. Not living in NYC our time with Alan was limited, but he understood our vision quickly. He truly went above and beyond with us and we are excited to continue to work with him for years to come. It was a delightful experience sitting down with him, and the ring is an absolutely STUNNING! Don't waste your time anywhere else, just call Alan and schedule an appointment. Thank you! read more

My fiancee (from MN) and Alan (NY) happened to meet while salmon fishing alongside the riverbank in Alaska. My ring is beyond beautiful, the intricate craftsmanship and detail in it. I have received so so many complements from so many people. Thank you Alan and everyone at Cohen Diamond. Would highly recommend to anyone in the jewelry market! read more

It was a pleasure to work with Alan! What separates Alan from other diamond dealers is that he takes the time to explain in depth every factor of the stone to each client. He took the time to show us how to compare and study each stone in detail. We even got the chance to use a jewelers loop! By the end of our appointment, we were practically diamond experts! Alan's a great guy who doesn't pressure or rush his clients, we look forward to working with him again! read more

My experience with Alan was beyond 5 stars. He worked with my father in the mid-90s and kept the legacy alive working with me. Alan went above and beyond to properly educate on all components of the diamond and the setting so that an informed decision could be made. When the ring came in, it was absolutely spectacular... even more so on my fiancé's hand. I will definitely be coming back for future jewelry purchases. I've delighted in telling others the story of Cohen Diamond (and the legacy involved) when asked about the ring. A true work of art. Thanks Alan! read more

Alan and Jose are the best! They worked closely with my fiance to design the perfect engagement ring for me, and now we're working with them on our wedding rings. What impresses us is the amount of time and thought they put into our rings. Alan covers all the bases, gives us honest feedback, doesn't try to up-sell, and guides our discussion to the right design. For example, I thought I wanted a wedding band that fit around my engagement ring; however, Alan pointed out that my perfectionist nature may be irritated that I'd have to constantly line up the rings. He then suggested an amazing alternative that gives me everything I want (and even things I didn't know I wanted). Alan and Jose have also been very helpful teaching me the "proper care and feeding" of an engagement ring. Due to their tips, my ring always sparkles beautifully! read more

Allen's craftsmanship exceeded anything we could have possibly hoped for. The beauty of the diamond inside the platinum setting has made my fiancés eyes sparkle. We put our trust in him and were paid back with his excellent work. He listened to my fiancé's dreams and work them into a stunning reality. We look forward to his next beautiful piece of work for us whenever it may be. read more

Alan has made all my engagement and wedding ring dreams come true! My Fiancé surprised me with an appointment with Cohen Diamond and Alan, where he took the time to sit down listen to what we wanted and then used his expertise to create the ring of my dreams. I was so impressed by the professionalism and artistic ability in the process. Alan made it so easy, and affordable to have a gorgeous ring. We since have both our wedding bands and my engagement ring by Cohen Diamond and we will continue to use them for all of our jewelry needs. I get compliments daily, and I am so proud to show it off. We can't thank you enough! read more

Alan's the man. Not much more to say about it than that. He helped line up a selection while I was in NYC for the week a few years ago. I've purchased a few high dollar items.....and I have to say that this was the best buying experience I've ever had. No snake oil or bull selling. Very technical. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Jose and Alan are a class act through and through. I am the 3rd of 3 brothers to use Cohen Diamond for an engagement ring. They provide a perfect mix of education on the market, guidance as to style and freedom to allow you to chose what is best for you. In an industry that is increasingly more transnational, these gentlemen are more concerned with building long term relationships and getting you what you need. read more

Alan created a ring more beautiful than I ever imagined. Not only will I love the ring forever, but I will also cherish the memories of the time spent with Alan creating the ring. My fiancee and I loved visiting Alan's office so he could teach us about diamonds and we learned so much! Alan worked with us to find a time that fit our busy schedules so we would have the chance to learn from him. He spoke on the phone frequently with my fiancee about what I wanted and always provided helpful advice. When it comes to jewelry, there is no one's opinion I trust more than Alan's! He's a true expert and professional. We can't wait to work with Alan again in the future. read more

I have so many good things to say about Alan at Cohen Diamond. Alan made the entire process so easy from start to finish -- spending time with me on the phone to discuss the basics, meeting with me in person to review diamonds and settings, and helping me select the perfect ring to propose. Alan was informative, upfront and incredibly nice. I was so happy with everything, and the finished product is spectacular. We will be back for our wedding bands! Thank you so much Alan. (PS -- she said yes! And she loves it!) read more

Working with Alan was an absolute pleasure. He has made customers for life out of myself and my now-fiancée. He made us feel like we were his only customer throughout the entire process and spent hours on the phone and in person educating us about what to look for and making recommendations; all of this was done even when we were openly unsure at the time of where we were going to buy our engagement ring. His knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm made it a no-brainer for us to decide to work with him to design the ring. Throughout that process, he was always available to talk through ideas and prototypes. The end result was spectacular, one-of-a-kind, and I can't wait to work with him again. I recommend Alan and Jose to anyone who asks, without reservation. read more

Alan worked with my husband and I to update my wedding set for our 10-year anniversary. We got our original rings from Alan and although we live in California, we don't want to work with any other jeweler. The quality and customer service are both so professional. I highly recommend him! read more

My family and I have been clients of Alan's for many years. From engagement rings and wedding bands, to special heirlooms to mark my childrens births, Cohen Diamond has been a part of those special life events. I would not trust anyone else in the jewelry business but Alan (and of course Jose!). They are professional, thorough, meticulous and easy to work with. You know you are getting high quality and honesty from them. I highly recommend Cohen Diamond. read more

Beautiful diamonds. Platinum device. No pressure. Great value. I've sent friends and family. Everyone raves. Diamonds are still a girls best friend. And Alan Cohen knows it. He sits for as long as it takes to find the perfect stone in the perfect setting. All the while explaining what you are seeing through his magnifier. The whole experience is special. And you leave feeling pretty special. And the stone you get in the setting you choose is dazzling. Michelle D. read more

Alan was recommended by a few of our good friends. My husband had such a great experience with him learning and selecting my engagement ring. I had a wonderful time designing my engagement band. We've gotten a ton of great advice from Alan on selecting our wedding bands together and have had a seamless experience with him and Jose throughout the whole process (through personal deliveries!). We highly recommend Cohen Diamond for personalized and lovely service. I'm sure we'll be back! read more

Diamonds are about relationships. The relationship with your diamond jeweler should be a long term one, so choosing the proper person from the start (likely your engagement) is incredibly important. I have known ALAN Cohen for nearly 20 years. From day 1, he educated me, taught me, showed me, and shared his knowledge. No hard sales pitch. No retail pitch. Nothing of the sort. Then he sent me off to 47th street to shop. Shopping retail on 47th is a whirlwind experience. I came right back to COHEN. Working with Alan is a pleasure. He knows more and doesn't have a hidden agenda. His products are tremendous quality and he'll show you what separates them from others. Plus his (and Jose's) professionalism is unmatched. After nearly 20 years and multiple products of the highest quality purchased from Alan, I am proud to call COHEN Diamond my Jeweler. I highly recommend COHEN Diamond and building a long term relationship with them. The ethics, the quality, the process, the professionalism and the kindness are unmatched anywhere in the area. read more

A very special thanks to Alan (and team) for an amazing job on resetting my engagement ring. Alan is truly the best in the business and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else when quality and attention to detail matter the most. My new ring is absoulutely spectacular...they always seem to amaze. I have known Alan for 15+ years and it is always a pleasure knowing you have a jeweler you can trust! Thanks again...Cohen Diamond truly is the best in the business! read more

Alan is 100% trustworthy and extremely knowledgable. He's willing to help every step of the way, and he goes above and beyond to make the presentation of an engagement ring a perfect experience. Furthermore, for about the price you'd get from a DIY website like Blue Nile, you get professional guidance along the way. Alan actually encouraged me to get a LESS expensive wedding band that would better meet our needs. I have already used him for an engagement ring and our wedding bands, and I will call him first whenever we need jewelry in the future. You won't be disappointed. Get your money's worth and speak with someone who knows what he is talking about! read more

I would support all of the good things said here. Alan did an engagement ring for me and really took the time to provide all the information, considerations, years of anecdotes, etc I needed to make the decision on exactly what I wanted - from the stone to the design of the band and setting. The ring turned out great and reasonably priced. I would recommend an introduction to anyone. Have already recommended to friends. Would use him for future needs. read more

Alan definitely gives you the personal touch. I saw him for the first time when I was buying our engagement ring. By the time I left, I felt like I had been doing business with him for years. He spent a lot of time assessing my needs, and walking me through the different grades of diamonds. I felt very confident about the value I received. My wife loved her ring. We'll be back! read more

I can't say enough great things about Alan. His expertise, attention to detail, professionalism, patience and kindness are one of a kind. He customizes your ring exactly how you want it. I will absolutely refer my friends and family to Alan in the future. Thank you again Alan for your extraordinary work! read more

We could not be happier with our experience with Alan at Cohen Diamond. After helping my fiancé select the perfect center stone, Alan set it in a plain band so the proposal could be a surprise. Then, after confirming my ring size, Alan reset the stone for us in the setting they had picked out. It was perfect! The ring is so gorgeous... I have gotten compliments from complete strangers! We went back to Alan for our wedding bands, and again, were extremely happy with the whole process. Alan's expertise and honest advice were much appreciated. read more

My wife and I have been working with Alan Cohen and Jose for over 12 years and the experience is always stellar. They are trustworthy and the best at what they do. I bought my wife's engagement ring with them 12 and half years ago and since have used them for everything. Recently we had an issue and Alan and Jose helped me tremendously with insurance and recreating a spectacular ring for my wife. She was so impressed as am I with their craftsmanship and attention to detail. We value our relationship wiht Cohen Diamond and highly recommend them to anyone that is considering purchasing jewelery. read more

Alan went above and beyond expectations to create the custom ring of mine and my fiance's dreams. With very little guidance and a couple of photos for inspiration, Alan knew exactly what to do. He got the ring completed in a relatively tight timeline and was even able to incorporate some family stones that most jewelers would've told me to take a hike with. Highly recommend Alan and his team. read more

My (now) husband worked with Alan to make a temporary engagement ring for me this past Spring using a family stone. The ring was very simple but beautiful- temporary because my then-fiance wanted to design something more intricate together using family stones. Alan made every step of the design process fun and was the perfect guide through the many options before us. He was thoughtful about the style we were going for, mindful of our budget and brought together some of the best people in the business to create what we both believe to be some of the most beautiful rings (engagement and wedding band) that we have ever seen. Alan very kindly met me at my office on numerous occasions for quick sizing tests and previews of what would be the finished product. I really, really appreciated his willingness to make things easy on us schedule-wise- it was so helpful! It was really easy and comfortable to discuss things with Alan, from design ideas, likes and dislikes and what made sense practically. Alan has a great ability to put you at ease and make you feel like yours is the only project he is working on- a real feat considering how busy we know him to be! We truly couldn't be happier with how the rings turned out and are excited to have found a world-class jeweler whom we can work with for many years to come. I would recommend Alan and Cohen Diamond very highly to anyone- jewelry afficianados and novices alike. read more
