Philip and Tatu are seriously my fine jewelry ANGELS. They are incredible to work with and make the whole process very easy. Both will go above and beyond to meet your expectations. My fiance came to Philip to purchase my engagement ring. Everything was explained in detail and Philip designed the most perfect ring! We came back to get our bands and the process is just as easy. Both of us could not be happier with the experience. When shopping for fine jewelry, you want to deal with people you can trust and make you feel confident about your purchases. K & W Fine Jewelry is your place to go! Thank you so very much Philip and Tatu!!!! read more

Fantastic, exceeded my expectations in every way- knowledgeable, did a beautiful job sizing and polishing my rings, sooner than promised for reasonable price. Highly recommend! read more

When other jewelry store owners look at you and see dollar signs, it's awesome to have a guy like Phil who you can actually trust. It's not just the good prices or the high quality, it's the fact that Kestenbaum & Weisner will work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want, even if you don't really know what that is when you first walk into the store. Incredible service every time. If you need jewelry, Kestenbaum & Weisner should be your first and last stop. read more

I worked with Philip to design my fiance's engagement ring based on a family friend's recommendation, and was absolutely blown away by the experience. After sharing some initial ideas and budget, I met with Philip and he walked me through a dozen different stones that fit my vision. It was a no pressure, educational process. The range of options Philip had assembled helped me understand the differences and nuances to make sure I found the perfect stone. With the stone chosen, I described the setting I was envisioning and Philip nailed the design. My fiance loves it, and Philip has been wonderfully helpful in getting the ring sized after the big proposal. I can't recommend Philip and K&W more. His transparency, candid approach, and focus on building a long term relationship with clients makes all the difference. He's earned a customer for life! read more

I highly recommend Phillip and his team at K and W. We met with him earlier in the year and were able to discuss some design ideas and he was more than helpful. Once I determined the ring type I needed, they designed, built, and shipped to me in a very quick turnaround. The finished product was more than perfect and beyond my expectations. If you're looking for a custom piece of jewelry, I would definitely recommend K and W. read more

I purchased my wife's engagement and wedding ring with Phil. He was very patient and helped me pick out exactly what I wanted. My wife was absolutely happy with the purchase I made. He was super fast and now I go to him on a regular basis. I highly recommend him!! Keep up the great work! read more

I went on a recommendation and was looking for a new wedding ring. I wasn't really sure what I wanted and felt like I was of no help to Ronnie K. who was generously helping me. Being from Texas, the NY diamond district is as far away from home as it gets, but he made me feel at home. I was very ignorant about jewelry terms, stones etc. We chatted and he finally asked me about my existing ring. I told him that I didn't like it and why. He then proposed the best solution ever.....design a few changes that would make the ring prettier, the stone more beautifully displayed and add a wedding band in matching diamonds. As luck would have it, he had the band that matched in a case!!! How lucky is that? He described what he would do with the ring and the main diamond...which is a pretty decent princess cut stone. So, I leave my ring there with him and his talent. When the ring was delivered (to Texas) it was BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE IT. I did not know that this ring could be so pretty. The diamond actually looks better in this setting AND the ring no longer gets caught on everything. I receive so many compliments on it and am happy that I did not have to get a new wedding ring. Now if I can ever get the drawing just right on the next ring I want, I will send it to him and have a ring made! Wonderful people, wonderful talent! You cannot go wrong at this jeweler. Ask for Ronnie...he will make you fee right at home. read more

Me and my fiancé purchased wedding bands at K&W. Philip and his entire team was so helpful. The whole experience was extremely pleasant, they have private showroom located on the 4th floor in fancy building which is a big plus (don't have to deal with diamond district madness). They made custom made diamond eternity band for me to match my engagement ring, came out exactly what I imagined. Prices were also very reasonable, thank you again Philip. I highly recommend Kestenbaum and Weisner. read more

The experience of picking a ring with Phil was everything I wanted and then some. I had some hesitation the ring was truly a one of a kind custom; Phil was able to use similar rings to ease my nerves in the showroom. When I received the final product I was absolutely floored. It was better than anything I could ever want. My fiancé was shocked when she received it; it was truly the ring of her dreams. I look forward to working with Phil in the future. read more

Philip is the best in the business. I've worked with him over the past year to get an engagement ring (my fiance is in love with the ring) and more recently our wedding bands. Throughout the whole process he was accommodating for all requests (re-sizing, new setting for the engagement ring, etc.) and made the process easy and stress free. We will be using Philip for all future jewelry needs and highly recommend him. read more

My husband purchased my engagement ring from Philip years ago. The ring was beautiful and excellent quality. Since then we have referred my daughter's fiance to Philip. Now, we have asked Philip to make a past, present, future ring and the ring is spectacular. We trust Philip (and K & W) with all our needs. read more

The BEST QUALITY of jewelry I've ever known... Phil Weisner has designed jewelry for me that I've NEVER seen anywhere else, absolutely amazing. You only live once, and deserve the very best, thanks again Phil for your honesty and integrity... and for continuing to keep my world sparkling. read more

AVOID THIS STORE LIKE THE PLAGUE! The owner Ronny is the rudest most obnoxious, condescending person I have ever dealt with. Went in on a recommendation to get a ring sized and setting checked on an engagement ring and he wouldn't work on it. Called the ring c**p which upset my fiancé greatly since it has tremendous sentimental value and means a lot to us. Needless to say it made me feel bad too because I went to great lengths to get this ring from abroad where she fell in love with it. I couldn't believe someone would be such an...well this is a family site so I will reframe from using the language I really want to, and be so insensitive. Could have easily just said since I didn't make it I don't feel comfortable working on it and left it there. He was also argumentative and dismissive. In this day and age in this economy, you would think you would appreciate the business since there are 100s of places to go. I would not step foot in this store if they were giving away their jewelry for free. read more

It's hard finding the perfect ring in general. It's harder when hours don't work for business professionals and service lags. That is not the case at Kestenbaum and Weisner! I found them after spending days looking and finally another nice jeweler referred me to them as he did not have engagement rings. That tells you already about their reputation. Philip and the rest of staff went out of there way to give me the time and information I needed to make an informed decision. Their warm and genuine care was the icing on the cake. Not to mention, I needed it last minute as I was proposing at Dodger Stadium in front of everyone in days of buying the ring. Well it all worked out perfectly and my fiance loves the ring! And we have a ring and a video to prove it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFS9tApYoJ4 read more

I have been an avid purchaser of diamonds for years and Phil and Maria are excellent!!! Having searched for months for the perfect engagement ring, I finally saw a setting I liked, unfortunately it was very important to me to wear my engagement and wedding rings on the same hand and the setting I admired precluded this. Enter the amazing group at K and W. i bought a stunning diamond from them and Phil custom made my ring keeping all the elements of the ring I admired and created a masterpiece. Also I feel it is important to note the workmanship is excellent, the interior metal polishing is wonderful and the diamond setting work is equally top of the line. All in all a stunning ring. read more

After walking through the diamond district on 47th I felt as if I had just run through a gauntlet. There are only so many pushy foreign men with bad breath that I can handle before I lose my shit. I had given up for the moment and decided to grab a drink when I happened to walk by K&W. It looked clean and classy from the outside and it was a breath of fresh air to walk inside. Alex was simply relaxing and straight forward and I felt instantly comfortable. He actually took the time to listen to me and made great recommendations. My fiance absolutely loves her engagement ring and the whole K&W team makes her feel special when she stops by periodically to get it cleaned (they offer that for free). We've gone back now to purchase all the rings for the wedding through Alex. Phil, the owner, adds a very personal "family" touch to the whole experience. He's great to work with and they have all been a very pleasant and important part of this engagement period. I get the impression that their business model is based on building relationships first and selling diamonds second. Whatever it is, it works for me. read more

I got engaged last night!!! My ring is STUNNING!!!! I was referred to Mr. Weisner by my cousin and his wife. My boyfriend and I went to see him together and we left feeling soo confident and excited!! Mr. Weisner helped us create a masterpiece. I would HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. read more

My experience with Philip Weisner could not have been better. I was heartbroken after losing my engagement ring. He worked with me to find a replacement with amazing graciousness and kindness. The very next afternoon I had a beautiful new ring, even nicer than the original. I would not hesitate to recommend this business. read more

My fiance was referred to this fantastic team of jewelers by a good friend and he couldn't have gotten a better tip. Their jewelry selection and quality is top notch. Incredibly unique and gorgeous pieces even for the most picky woman like myself! =-) I walk around their store and just say, "Wow" as I did when I saw my completed pave diamond wedding band earlier today and I do when I look at my amazing fiance every day. Ronnie, Phil and Louie know just how to make the experience even more enjoyable with their friendly, honest and humorous work ethic. My fiance purchased my engagement ring and setting from them and we just purchased our wedding bands from them as well. We no longer feel the need to shop around because we always know that no other jeweler can beat the taste, quality and experience of K & W...Many thanks! read more

Philip Thank you so much for all of your help in choosing a wedding band. I came in really not knowing what I wanted at all, and you really knew the right shapes and sizes to show us. I absolutely love what we picked and it came out amazing! read more

I had no idea what I wanted in an engagement ring. Other than some vague ideas and a rough price range, I was very intimidated by the whole thought of it. Heard about K&W through a friend and they immediately put me at ease. I got a BEAUTIFUL diamond, setting, really everything well within my price range. The staff was helpful, flexible, courteous. Can't say enough good things about this place. If you are a new yorker looking for an engagement ring (or I'd suppose anything shiny) go here first. read more

We were referred by Jerry, a good friend of ours in Las Vegas. My partner called Philip Weisner a few weeks before our arrival and told him what we were looking for. He had many diamonds in the quality and size we were looking for for me to choose from. We put a down payment on the stone and left the setting with him. He was to mail it to us when it was paid for. Imagine my astonishment when he called for us to come back to the store today and he let me have my engagement wedding ring for Christmas Eve!!! I know no jeweler in Las Vegas who would ever do that. Kestenbaum & Weisner will now be our only jeweler. read more

My fiance worked with Philip to purchase my engagement ring and he has raved about the professional and enjoyable experience that he had picking out the ring. The first time that I saw the ring when he proposed, I told my fiance that I honestly could not have picked out a better diamond for myself, it is perfect. The band was a little too big and Philip met with us at our convenience and had it re-sized on the spot. We've been engaged for a month, and I continue to glance down at my ring in awe. We are working now with Philip on our wedding bands, and plan to continue to work with him in the future! read more

If you're shopping for the rock, look no further. Anyone who has even casually glanced at jewelry in Manhattan's diamond district knows that it's like walking through a bazaar in Calcutta. K&W is a refreshing alternative. I found them to be honest, straightforward, and fair. Most of the other places I went to I just felt that I was dealing with a used car salesman, but I instantly trusted the guys at K&W. They were recommended to me by a family member who had an equally positive experience, and I recommend them to everyone else. read more

My husband bought my engagemenr ring here. While I love the ring it's poorly made, the diamonds aren't the same size (and I was told by two other jewelers that they should be) and the owner (Kestenbaum) was not very nice when I pointed that out after the ring was purchased. It's no bargain either. Be careful when buying at these 47th Street shops, it's easy to get decent prices on crappy jewelry. read more

Let me specifically address Mr.Weisner's response.I dealt with Ron Kestenbaum, who is listed on your business description as your current partner. As of this last Saturday I received in my mail another advertisement from your business. Over the past two years I have received numerous postcards, which has only caused me additional upset. If you won't accept my word, go ahead and ask my insurance agent Sharon Eddy or Brian Coleman from the loss division from the insurance company. This is why I emailed your business and told you to stop mailing anything to me.In your business description you write you've been in the jewelry business for twenty odd years. You must be aware of the emotional significance an item of jewelry can have.Whether it's an engagement ring, anniversary ring, earrings, pendant whatever the item, if it's stolen or just misrepresented there is a feeling of loss and violation. This is how I feel, violated. If you are saying Mr.Kestenbaum is no longer part of your business, and yet you were aware of this situation, how he screamed and ranted at me,and all the other people that tried to intercede on my behalf. What have you done personally to correct this situation? This is not in the past for me. My opinion stands- using this merchant whether it's Weisner or Kestenbaum, you are not dealing with reputable merchants. If they stood behind their work and honored their receipts, sold items of a specific quality, what happened to me wouldn't have happened. REMEMBER WHO DENIED MAKING the ring to my INSURANCE COMPANY,NYC DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS and the JEWELERS VIGILANCE COMMITTEE.It was claimed I supposedly paid K&W $1350.00 to appraise a ring!Nonsense! Not only did they treat me horribly, skirt around the facts with sloppy documentation, they have destroyed my sense of trust in any and all jewelers. I have a ring that can't be worn, just seeing it causes me to be physically ill.My insurance company compensated me in 2009 for a portion of the ring, but not enough to remake the ring. They did this after paying for the repair from 2005.They wouldn't have done this if they didn't find that there was something really wrong with this mess. In 1991 when I added the extra diamonds,Mr. Weisner never sent a proper receipt or appraisal, when the ring was returned to me. Foolishly I didn't get the ring independently appraised then or when I got it back, after they had it in their possession for 6 months to remake it in 2005. I was too trusting. I am out $6500.00,that was needed to cover the cost of remaking the ring and that was at the fall 2009 metal prices, precious metals have gone UP dramatically since then. I still stand behind the opinion, when you buy any jewelry find the best appraiser not associated with the jeweler or any jewelry district to do your appraisal.Your purchase receipts must clearly define what you are purchasing, and heads up any appraisal the jeweler gives isn't worth the paper it's written on.You might use it for insurance purposes, that's it. read more

My husband and I purchased our wedding bands from Phil! He was so great from start to finish. He was very patient and professional. He wouldn't stop until we were completely satisfied. I even had a minor issue with sizing and with no questions asked Phil had my ring back to me the same day looking brand new! My engagement ring, wedding band and my diamond earrings were all purchased here and we will be customers of his for many years to come. read more

My fiance bought me the engagement ring from Louie Kestenbaum back in April of 2010. The large solitaire stone is stunningly brilliantly beautiful. I get compliments daily. Louie's service was excellent, he was very professional, showed us many options and stayed within the budget. Some months later, he also resized the ring and cleaned it all for free of charge. Very happy with the service. Did not interact much with the main owners but they were around. Would recommend them to anyone looking for quality diamonds. read more

Shopping for ring can be nerve wracking to say the least. Its common knowledge that retail jewelry stores can overcharge by 2 or 3 times the price for a stone. The diamond district is the clear alternative to finding a nice ring at a very reasonable price, however, navigating through all the intense pushy salesman and jewelry jargon makes the experience nauseating. At Kestenbaum and Weisner, I was able to find a reasonably priced ring with no pressure of making the purchase. I visited the store 5 times, custom designing the ring with Louie, the salesman. He was patient, respectful and in the end, I was able to give my fiance the ring of her dreams without overpaying. Since purchasing the engagement ring at K + W, I've sent my brother who also purchased his and I am now returning this winter for our wedding bands. I highly recommend Kestenbaum and Weisner for all your jewelry needs!! read more

Louie made me the most beautiful engagement ring I have ever seen...he and my fiance worked together to create a unique vintage ring that I am in love with! Recommended by a close friend while looking for an engagement ring. It ended up being the best place I went, hands down. The service was amazing with no pressure to buy big or over budget. They simply want you to get the right ring for you. In the end, she said yes and loves it, so they did something right. They work with you in a custom manner to get the results you want. Ask for Louie, he's amazing, but so is the rest of the staff. Definitely plan to return when getting the wedding bands. read more

My husband and I received excellent service from K&W. We had our wedding bands made about 2 weeks before the wedding day and were very happy with the service. Not only did they rush to make sure the rings would be done in time at no extra charge, but they were patient and helpful while we were deciding on ring styles and settings. They made a beautiful copy of a tiffany's ring for my husband with the exact modifications that he wanted. They were able to make me a diamond band incorporating stones from my mother-in-law's earrings, and they fixed up my husband's grandfather's wedding band so that it looked like new for us to use during the ceremony. We felt that the prices were fair and would definitely go back in the future! read more

Friends and family have been going here for almost 30 years. Recently had occasion to buy an engagement ring and knew where I had to go. The staff was extremely helpful without any sales pressure. They were very patient with an inexperienced client. They assisted in designing and then creating the perfect ring at a great price. My family and friends were right! This is the place to go. read more

As a customer they treat you nicely and their diamonds are good quality but in my experience the quality of their merchandise is not worth the $$. My husband purchased a platinum pave setting from Kestenbaum & Weisner for my 3.5 diamond. After one year the platinum band cracked, literally split open and K & W repaired it at no charge. A year later we moved to Austin, Tx. The pave diamonds started falling out of the setting. I had to have it repaired at least 6 times. I took it to multiple jewelers for advise on how to stop this from happening. I had the prongs rebuilt to try and eliminate the problem and avoid the several thousand dollar expense of having to purchase a new ring. It seemed to have worked until the platinum band cracked again in 2 places. When I contacted K&W they said to send them the ring, which i did. They sent it back to me with a letter stating they didn't have any record of this purchase and because I had the repairs done elsewhere all warranties were null and void anyway. They said the repairs are what caused the cracking. One of the cracks was on the band itself, no where near the repairs of the pave diamonds!! Then they went on to say wear and tear, blah, blah, blah. ITS PLATINUM!!! These rings last generations. I'm a student and stay at home mom. Theres minimal wear and tear.. Upon inspection by 3 different jewelers there was a problem with the porosity and thats why the ring kept breaking. This can only be seen on the inside once the ring breaks (like tree rings). Perhaps for a loose diamond they'd be ok but I wouldn't recommend them for anything else. read more

I had such a lovely experience getting my engagement ring at K&W. My finance and I had been recommended to go here for our ring by a family member and I am so delighted that we did. I didn't know a lot about diamonds before getting the ring, but I did know exactly what style I was looking for. Maria was so helpful and gave me a tutorial on diamonds explaining cut and clarity etc. She spent as much time as I needed selecting an actual diamond in our price range and then we discussed settings. I had always wanted a vintage setting and they custom made a beautiful vintage style setting for me that I had given them a photograph of. We were not living in NYC at the time and Maria kept me updated by email about the progress of my ring and sent me photos. I was so pleased when I received my ring, it was exactly to the specification that I wanted and even nicer than I imagined. At no point in the store did we feel pressured or that we were being ripped off. This is a lovely small family run store and I would highly recommend for anyone to purchase their engagement ring here. We will definitely be back for our wedding bands! Thanks K&W!! read more
