Not a tourist restaurant. Frequented by locals. We walked in and the primary floor was full of locals sharing drinks and laughter with other locals. Very loud and cheerful chattering. We almost walked out thinking it was primarily a bar. But then we were led downstairs to the restaurant area by one of the girls. We ordered the croquettes and the waitress suggested only one order for the 2 of us and she cheerfully suggested we get both the squid and the ham. Delicious. We also added a green salad that was honestly large enough for 4. They added Krab in addition to the greens, avocado , tomatoes and cheese and was dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect. Then we shared the famous Cachopo. Humongous. Probably would have fed 3-4 but we both managed to scarf it down. It's sort of like cordon bleu but with breaded veal. 2 slices of breaded veal and in between cheese and ham. So yummy. The food quality in Europe is so good. read more
