Popped in for a coffee after reading other reviews. I got an iced vanilla latte. It was good, nothing to complain about. I'd go back and get another one if I was in the area. The molasses cookies looked devine. Unfortunately mine was hard and maybe a day or two old so that's why I deducted a star. The service was great though! The barista was absolutely where she needs to be. She was probably the happiest person making coffee I've ever seen. She seemed to love her job and making the coffee for her customers! She deserves 5 stars herself! It's in the back of a bookstore but so t let that deter you to pop in just to grab a coffee! It's cute, the books around are an added bonus!

Who would have thought this shop inside Book People would be so good. I am not sure where their pastries come from but they were very good (even the day olds). The Mediterranean Salad was wonderful. The Broccoli Cheese Soup was amazing.I have never drank coffee but my friend said the latte rivaled Starbucks. Serving tea lattes as well. No long lines! Fast courteous service! Books galore! I'll have to pop in for breakfast or lunch next time...

When the person behind the counter is super informative, communicative, helpful, nice, and the prices are reasonable you can't help but have a great interaction and positive takeaway. Emily was AMAZING and worked with me to get my drinks how I wanted them, have me creative ideas on a new blend I've never had to merge my two drinks I was craving, and really just the fresh/loose leaf tea is a Huge Bonus over other places. 2 drinks, with oat milk, $10. Take that Starbucks.

I was so surprised to see this rated 3.6 out of 5.0. It's easily a 5.0 for me. The team members…read more(staff) are understanding and helpful, much like the feeling of a hotel where effortless hospitality is the only focus. The patrons are a mixed bag. Some leave their dogs on the overly nice furniture, leaving fur behind. It doesn't bother me, but I can understand how it would bother others looking at this as a restaurant, instead of what it is, a daytime coffee lounge and an evening cocktail bar. If it were just a coffee shop, there wouldn't be enough outlets, and there should be more pastries. If it were just a bar, it'd be a little too bright in the daytime, and the laptop workers (me included) would hurt the cool cocktail vibe...BUT it's not just those two things. It's both, and they do a remarkable job of accommodating everyone while maintaining a chill vibe. Seriously, everyone has surprised me with how nice they are here, and we're lucky to have something so architecturally significant with high-end indoor/outdoor furniture. This could just be another $$$ restaurant that detracts from the city's culture rather than adding to it.

Such a lovely outdoor patio for weekend brunch! Lots of shaded tables and beautiful trees to enjoy…read morea meal outside. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed, every single outdoor table was full but some of the picnic tables were long enough to share which is what we ended up doing. Even though it was very busy our order really didn't take long at all. You order at the counter and are given a number there to bring to our table which is nice. They had one of my favorite ciders Smell the Van which I loved! And my fiancé had one of their iced lattes which he said was excellent. For food I tried their new sandwich, the FRIED GREEN BLTomato SANDO (english muffin, bacon, lettuce, fried green tomato, remoulade, farm fried egg) and my fiancé had their CARNITAS HASH (crispy fingerling potatoes, pork carnitas, fried egg creamy poblano sauce, pickled red onions, cotija cheese). My fiancé loved the carnitas hash. My sandwich was pretty good; I don't think I'd order it again though. I think it'd be better without the spicy In-N-Out style sauce on it and if they offered it on sourdough instead of the English muffin (since it's stacked so high it's really messy to eat). One thing that was a bummer was that they don't carry ranch dressing. I wanted a side salad but they only had a vinaigrette dressing which I'm not a huge fan of so decided not to order the salad. I'd definitely come back and try something else on their menu though!

Very chill place to meet someone for coffee or lunch. The outdoor patio definitely has a classic…read moreAustin vibe, with the abundance of grackles and flies and picnic tables. Ya know, in a good way. The highlight was the pozole verde soup. This wasn't a traditional pozole, but it was an absolutely delicious variant. Chickpeas, cilantro, shredded chicken, avocado, and an extremely flavorful and balanced broth. I'd go back just for that soup - light, healthy, delicious.
