My absolute favorite coffee shop in Austin and San Antonio because they're the only place that I know of that uses high quality, unprocessed "not milks," and ingredients. A lot of plant-based options, too. I always get a matcha latte with coconut milk... and then I spend a bit too much time deciding between any of their acai bowls, smoothies, shots, or breakfast tacos. I visited Revolucion on a Wednesday morning and found it packed! There was plenty of indoor seating, mostly occupied by patrons working/studying on laptops. The space was well-lit with a fun wall mural near the back. I also loved that it was dog-friendly! For drinks, I got the Iced Revolución Latte, which was pretty tasty. It had a nice honey lavender flavor and was sufficiently strong. I also ordered the Rev Acai Bowl, which took longer to come out. I liked the base of this bowl (not too sweet) but wish I'd gotten something with more fruit variety. This one was very pineapple-heavy, but still nice! The $10 drip coffee with 2 breakfast tacos are a good deal! But I wish the drip coffee was less acidic. We got the egg, cheese, and bacon and also the beans, cheese, and bacon. But we basically split the egg and beans among the two tacos to make egg, cheese, bean, and bacon breakfast tacos. That was really yummy! Revolucion was right across the street from my hotel so was very convenient on my recent Austin trip. It's in a poppin' area of Downtown with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They have a huge selection of grab & go bottles and cans of Poppi, Lollipop and Topo Chico if you don't want one of their fancy creations. The fancy creations are fun though! I had a shot of espresso as my drink didn't come with any caffeination and no qualms there. A bit more exciting, I had their Red Velvet Latte and loved it with mayan mocha, honey, cold pressed ginger and milk (which can be changed out for oat milk like I did or other substitutes). Delish drink and my friend loved his Aca Blue, another pretty drink with blue & green shades for the matcha and it said it was full of antioxidants. Great! Throw 'em all in there and let us be secretly healthy. Overall, we loved their Mexican-inspired vibes in this roastery and would absolutely pop in again next time we're in town! read more

This place has some delicious high quality treats. They were such a treat when I was dairy, soy and egg free during my breastfeeding journey. I was actually able to enjoy some delicious pie. The peanut butter pie is so good and so clean--even if you eat dairy and gluten, it's worth a try. The drinks and tacos are solid too! The chagacinno was so good! You definitely don't taste the chaga as much as you think k you would, it's actually smooth and nutty in their drinks. Visited Revolucion juice and coffee shop who was hosting the 5Run2 Marathon Kickoff panel. The shop supports local artisans and suppliers and is very environmentally friendly. They offer a lot of vegan options and use fresh and responsibly sourced high quality ingredients. The space was colorful with plenty of room and seating for the event. There are colorful murals painted on the walls inside for a fun and uplifting space. We were able to order a taco and a beverage at the event. I was intrigued by the lentil and walnut taco with avocado lime sauce on a spinach flour tortilla. It was a vegan option and I loved the spinach tortilla but felt like the lentil walnut filling was a bit bland and could use some more flavoring, I tried the Oasis smoothie with Rev Homemade Almond milk, Strawberry, Banana, Dates, Avocado, Vegan Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Maple + Housemade Strawberry Glaze & Coconut Cream. The smoothie was very sweet and I enjoyed the taste and consistency. I was amazed at all of the fresh juice options available. I would like to try more of their juice blends in the future. My run group had an event there in the evening, with tacos and a drink before a panel discussion. We could choose coffee, smoothie, or a proprietary juice. Since this is primarily a vegan cafe and it was in the evening, I ordered the Lentils and Walnut taco with avo lime sauce on a corn tortilla. It was subtly yummy with the avocado lime sauce, with a nice crunch from the walnuts. I added some sauce to spice it up a bit. At first it was served in a flour tortilla, and they willingly remade it on corn. To not waste the food, they suggested that I keep the flour one; I gave it to my friend. The corn tortilla was ready in a manner of minutes. For the drink, I chose the Green Moringa Smoothie: green moringa, ginger, spinach, banana, pineapple, and hemp milk. It tasted so good and healthy! Love Revolucion for a morning coffee and breakfast! The Mayan Mocha is awesome but a bit sweet. The latte art is always awesome. The tacos are also delicious, especially the potato egg and cheese. I work around the corner from Revolucion and ordered a breakfast taco and iced matcha for pick up. I was pleased to know that they wait to make the drinks until you've arrived so it doesn't get watered down. Of note - the tacos online appear to be much bigger than in person. The shop itself has a cozy vibe--there's a tiny market and newspapers on the tables, which make it feel like a nice spot to hang out. It also wasn't sweet so I added in honey which helped a bit. When we arrived, two employees were chatting at the register and only started preparing our order after I mentioned it. The barista didn't seem enthusiastic, and unfortunately, that lack of care was reflected in the quality of the drinks. The store itself is nice and looks like a great place to hang out. They had newspaper on the table for you to read and a tiny market. ACA Blue ($6) + Homemade Almond Milk ($1) + Honey Lavendar ($0.50): This drink is made with milk, matcha, and blue majik. The matcha flavor was very light, and the blue majik gave it a grainy texture that was unpleasant and even irritated my throat, making me cough a few times. I couldn't taste the honey lavender at all, and the drink wasn't sweet enough. Adding extra honey helped a little, but it still tasted average at best. Very surprised that this drink was highly recommended. Iced Chagacinno ($6.50) + Coconut Milk ($0.75) + Cinnamon (free): This drink includes a double shot of espresso, milk, chaga powder, and simple syrup. Unfortunately, the combination didn't work for me. The coconut milk left small white clumps, and the ice melted too quickly, leaving a watery layer on top. As time passed, the drink became more diluted and less enjoyable. read more

Just noticed this place on Sunday after killing some time waiting for a movie. It's located pretty close to the convention center on a popular street that has a bunch of restaurants serving the convention crowd and downtown hotels. So I was delighted to see this type of neighborhood coffee and juice shop in this area. Since it was late afternoon I opted for their cold press juices and juice shots instead of coffee or matcha. Their specialty menu looked amazing too. The juices are premade but looked fresh I wish they had freshly made ones like juice land or soup peddler. I got the glow juice and an immunity shot. Both helped nurse a hangover too and I felt better too. The aesthetic inside was pleasant with plenty of seating by the windows and great for people watching. I don't find myself at this side of downtown that often but if do I will stop here. It is kind of pricey at 13$ for the juice and $6 for the shot but I think being so close to the convention center; it's expected. read more

I kind of regret waiting until the last day of our trip to grab coffee from Revolucion Coffee across from our hotel. I really wanted a good espresso drink. I went with their Revolucion latte which came with milk, honey, and lavender syrup. It was made with a little milk froth art which was a nice touch, served in a ceramic mug. It was delightful. The resulting latte was smooth with a slight sweetness that I thoroughly enjoyed. The cafe itself is spacious and bright with lots of seating for those who want to work outside of the home. There was some music playing to break up the monotony of the day but it was not super loud. The baristas were nice and knowledgeable.
