Gluten free stuff, yay! And tasty too... The arepas are made from corn flour, and even their empanadas are made from corn. They fry the empanadas to order, and if you ask they will fry them in clean oil. I like the cafe con leche too. read more

I am only reviewing the coffee. Both time we've gotten a "large coffee" for $1.90, we get a large latte-like steaming beverage with hot milk and foam on top. The woman taking our order doesn't speak English well but both times we've enjoyed what we called a hot melted coffee ice cream. read more

Coffee was okay but the smoothie is a joke. I saw her make it with their Ninja and basically they added fruit, water, ice and a dash of milk. Oh and let me not forget the four large scopes of sugar. Basically I got a water fruit drink now smoothie. And she gave me the wrong change back. read more

Awesome Arepas and mini empanadas. I haven't tried the coffee but I will def come back because the food was amazeballs. Tried both the chicken/cheese and the chorizo/ beans flavored arepas and they were very good. I can't wait to try them again soon. read more

I started coming to this place a few months ago for coffee and tea. I usually see the same guy and he is very pleasant and welcoming. I came in and he recommended the empanadas let me tell you they are addictive. It's not your normal empanada it actually was like a crispy potato wedge with delicious filling. Not too greasy or anything. Love love love the beef empanadas haven't tried the chicken yet . They give you a homemade sauce to go with it that's delicious. I also tried a breakfast sandwich on crossaint and that was delicious as well. I haven't had to wait too long either the coffee is made upfront and the food comes from the back somewhere while your waiting they have tv and music playing. Overall excellent food and excellent service at great prices. read more

This was a great find! I was meeting with a work colleague for a business meeting and decided to try this. I had a cheese arepa which was freshly made and really tasty. When I asked for sauce, I was given two - one spicy and one creamy/raspberry colored mayo sauce. Both were delicious with the arepa, which was generously stuffed. My friend had a latte which she said was very good. We sat for almost 2 hours and they didn't bother us at all. The atmosphere was homey and warm. read more

I really like this place. Today my wife and I had two of their gourmet style arepas. She had the one that was stuffed with scrambled eggs, tomatoes, onions and I think it had the green onions in there. She loved it. I had the arepa stuffed with grilled chicken, lettuce, bacon ( I think I remember tomatoes as well) with a cool ranch sauce. It was fantastic. The arepas itself were light, crispy and were presented nicely wrapped open to make eating them easier. There was a man and woman at the counter when we walked in that greeted us and were very accommodating. I liked that they gave the arepas a "makeover" from the traditional style to a modern twist. We already planned to go back their soon. I hope this place sticks around for a while. Something different from the ordinary was well needed for the area. read more

I went here based on all these 5 star reviews on how the cafe con leche is SO good and the inside decor is SO cozy And nice but honestly I believe these reviews are fake. The cafe con leche was like water so weak and flavorless! And the decor had these hideous couches crammed in to a corner sorry but I'm just not a fan of being lied to! read more

love this spot, very good food and amazing coffee. I come every morning on my way to work because it's so close by. I also often get lunch with coworkers, and everything we've tried has been great. Arepas, the amazing lunch special (grilled chicken, salad, rice/bean and plantain for $6) and delicious pastries. Definitely recommend. The owners are super sweet too! read more

My husband found this place and since it was only 10 minutes away we decided to check it out. I'm Colombian, live in north Jersey all my life and the first time I went to an Areperia was in Montreal, Canada. Nothing compares. I had an arepa here with shredded beef, plantains, black beans and quesito (Colombian cheese). Granted I am aware Colombians make their arepas thinner than Venezuelans but, they need to be a tad thicker so it can hold the toppings to avoid the dreadful arepa sogginess. There was no seasoning in the shredded beef. Our table wasn't cleaned and the bathroom was dirty, had no soap (I always carry hand sanitizer), and the lady was having a hard time understanding my order. There aren't prices on the food menu. The toilet seat was smaller than the size of the toilet, dirty, and was missing light bulbs. Oh yea and no soap. Wonder how the employees wash their hands since theirs a sign that stated "All employees must wash their hand before returning to work". I will say, they had some good Colombian snacks to buy. But then again, I can always get those things at a grocery store down the international isle or at the Marketa in Hackensack. Which leads me to my conclusion. I will not be returning. read more

I've been to this place once before and I didn't mind it. Bu this time I made an order online they told me that it would be ready in 10-35 minutes. I then arrived 20 minutes later and found out that they no longer use Eat24 so my order was not ready. What really got me upset was the fact that they had my order printed out but they didn't process it nor did they call me or anything. To top it all off they told me to wait and they'll prepare my food, I had to wait an extra 16 minutes and they gave me the wrong order. Never coming to this place again. read more

I had the El Paso breakfast arepa, which was delicious, if a bit messy. They have a variety of teas that I want to try. The wait times were long for food, but they have free wi-fi and comfortable seating, so I didn't mind, especially on my day off. I can't say I'd feel the same if I were trying to get a quick lunch though. Overall, this place was great. It might become my regular weekend brunch spot. read more

I've been to Coffeecol twice since it opened, and enjoyed the experience both times! The arepas are homemade, fresh, and delicious! The Queen was my favorite, and I ordered it both times because I loved it. They also had a refrigerated case with some desserts in it, which I didn't try because I was already full, but they looked AMAZING! I will definitely be stopping back to try some of them. The decor was really nice too (LED lighted ceiling border, big flat screen TV, nice countertops, and seating area, and free wi-fi) The friendly manager Julian welcomed me when i entered, walked me through the menu, and promptly had my food made. Also, I should mention they awesome Colombian coffee, (with flavor syrups if you'd like) and a brand new cappuccino machine! Great place to try if you want to enjoy some interesting Colombian food & drink, which we have been lacking in this area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

At first I was in love with this place because of its proximity to my home. The first thing I ever had from here was a breakfast sandwich. I ordered bacon and egg on a roll with pepper and ketchup. I get home and there's no pepper or ketchup, which was annoying but ok because I was home. The sandwich was delicious after I applied my own condiments. Next time I went ordered the same exact thing still no pepper or ketchup. Annoyed again. This time I turned around and went back to have them put what I paid for on my sandwich. The third time I ordered sausage and egg with pepper and ketchup. Finally they got the pepper and ketchup but I barely had any sausage on my sandwich at all. One night I went and ordered the deluxe burger and get home to find I had no pickles or bacon which was part of my order. I immediately called them up and spoke with one of the managers who offered to bring me another burger. Instead I opted for credit toward my next meal. Next time I go I mention this credit and no one knows about anything after the mngr said she would leave my name at the register. Annoyed again I place my usual breakfast order and to no avail I get no pepper or ketchup. Today I decide to givethem aanother shot. I get my sandwich and pepper and ketchup is finally on it! But guess what the eggs were runny and disgusting and the one piece of bacon on it was undercooked and chewy. Needless to say this will be my last visit at this establishment. read more
