When we called to ask about a…read morewait, they mentioned there was not wait... part of the reason they do that is because they don't keep a list. You either have reservations or you're a walk in and you stand in line until a table is available for you. At first this was strange, but I think it makes for a better experience. The team was incredible, they were so kind on a day that can be stressful for a small restaurant. We had incredible food. I was so happy to get my Eggs Royale and my husband said the French toast was the best he's ever had. (Even comparing it to French toast in Paris) No notes. This will be our Mother's Day place going forward next time with reservations.

It seems like this place is an asian fusion brunch place incorporating french dishes into thai/asian themed dishes which is up our alley. We made a reservation at 1:45 PM and we had to wait for about an extra 30 minutes before getting seated. Initially, I wanted to try their crab fried rice but unfortunately they were out of crab. We decided to get the Alcatraz Escape and the Brioche french toast which were recommended by the wait staff. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating but I can tell they were swamped and stressed out with all the people they were trying to serve. The food itself tasted decent, the Alcatraz Escape had a tasty flavor which incorporates tom yum paste (sweet, sour, tangy flavor) into their scramble with about 4 shrimps. The side of crispy chicken was good but nothing that stood out to us. The brioche was soft but there wasn't much flavoring besides the fruits and caramelized banana. It was served with evaporated milk which made the brioche soft but not adding much flavor to it. The price however was quite pricey. For two dishes as a side we paid around $78 with tax and tip.

I love how crispy the tortilla on the outside was and how it had the perfect ratio of cheese, egg, avocado, bacon, and chipotle sauce on the inside. Breakfast is served all day (6am-4pm on weekdays) which is a great bonus. There were a lot of Doordash orders getting picked up, but I waited around 10-15 minutes for my burrito to be ready on a Thursday at around 10am (I did come with a group of people though so that probably added to the wait time). I found the staff to be very friendly and personable which added to my experience. One thing to note is that this place is a grab n go spot: the inside of the store is blocked off so there's no place to sit in. Overall, great no frills spot - highly recommend anyone to check it out!

Called initially and was answered promptly, (always a good sign) spoke good English and very attentive. I asked for a breakfast sandwich, and I got the response I wanted. So I raced over to the location on Sac and Battery, and ordered a scrambled egg, no cheese, but with onions and bacon, no butter. The owner looked at me, and could tell I was being very particular about what I wanted and what I did not want, so he tastefully went over the ingredients and got my thumbs up as he sensed dietary restrictions. The establishment is a hole in the wall - but the workers are working like busy bees. Service VERY attentive and food was piping hot, and portion size was just right, if not wanting a tad more. Always a good sign, the owner also sociable speaks to you on first name terms, and got my name first time. Recommend this place VERY HIGHLY for borritos, sandwiches and more - 6am to 4pm weekdays, 6am-2pm Saturdays. WORTH IT BELIEVE ME!.

The group ordered shrimp and grits (9/10) , oyster mushroom omelette (10/10), and chorizo scramble (I didn't try personally but my friend gave it 10/10). I was too full to get something sweet but rest assured, they're yummy too! I come here all the time and it is consistently great, especially the espresso (;

We were seated in a cute little nook by the window. For drinks, I chose the Extreme Toffee Latte. The flavor was tasty, but I wish I'd gotten an extra shot of espresso in it. For food, I chose the New England Lobster Benedict and my friends opted for the Chorizo Ave. Scramble and Florentine Breakfast Sandwich. We also got a Pan Pain de Mie Custardy French Toast to share between the 3 of us. My New England Lobster Benedict was great! I liked the generous heap of lobster and bell pepper hollandaise. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the bread underneath. Portion sizes were substantial and I didn't have room for the crispy potatoes. I did save room for the French Toast, however, which was delicious! The texture was so fluffy and we loved the sweet cream inside. Service was friendly and quick. Would return to try more items!

We were staying nearby and both needed an afternoon pick-me-pick-me-up and decided to give this place a whirl. The Good: *Both of our drinks were good and had good flavor. The peanut butter cream latte especially had a good mix of peanut flavor with the coffee to make it like a little dessert. *Bamboo Latte had good matcha flavor and little to no sweetness, which is how I like it. The Meh: *There was one guy working the register and being the barista all at once and he really seemed to hate his job. Which is ironic given the name of the establishment. *Please make sure to tell them "for here" if you're planning on staying to drink your coffee. Otherwise, they automatically will put it in a plastic cup and you know how we really need more of those in the trash. The Ugly: *Overall the store interior was grungy and unclean. We're not usually the type of people to gripe about a little dust, but the floor had huge dust bunnies, dead flies, and ants taking care of said flies. The tables were also crummy and sticky upon our arrival. Conclusion: Decent coffee but questionable cleaning habits.
