What a DELIGHTFUL little coffee shop. We were in Chandler to see a friend and really needed a pick me up. I googled coffee shops to try and find something local and Coffee Rush popped up. The picture on this page is 100% the incredible views- I wish we had more time to sit on the patio and watch the ducks swim. They have the misters going on the patio so it's definitely summer-friendly. Today, I got a 16 oz iced coffee w/sugar free coconut mocha, and my fiance got a large blended black and white, "loaded" (w/2 shots). We both loved our drinks and the prices were absolutely reasonable- in fact I was surprised they were so low given that it's a local shop. If we ever find ourselves in the Chandler area again, we would love to stop here again. read more

I've been to Coffee Rush a couple of times, and both times I've gotten a drink, they were both winners. I like getting their iced peach green tea and their hot vanilla lattes. What draws me to Coffee Rush is the outdoor seating. Pretty straightforward good coffee. I'm slowly becoming a regular. I usually get an iced latte, a "Frost" which is blended iced drink and occasionally a hot latte. Their staff is very friendly and attentive which I think adds to the experience. The outside seating at this location is wonderful. The staff is arrogant and rude. I created an account because I just had a terrible experience yesterday and thought I'd mention it somewhere. I was new to the place and I was sitting outside. I saw people smoking outside and asked the barista about it and he rudely said people are allowed to smoke there and it shouldn't be a problem for me in such a condescending manner I couldn't believe what I did to possibly offend him in the first place. I've been a Coffee Rush fan for years. I had first stumbled upon this quaint little shop when my friends whisked me into this coffee place. I'm so glad they did! I love me some fresh baklava and a Caramel Rush. Prices are always great and the baklava... YUM! The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. I've never really ever sat down inside or out on the patio though. I normally take my drink and walk around the man-made lake with a friend or two. Sure you have to jump two low walls. I would give this place 0 stars if it was an option. With it being my first time, I was asking a few questions to help me decide what to order. The two gentleman baristas were in a hurry and didn't have time for questions. My friends and I ordered our drinks and muffins and sat on the patio. About an hour being there I decided I was hungry and grabbed a meal from Mr. pickles. I see that there are signs stating "no outside drink", but I assumed that since been were all still drinking our coffee that it would be a big deal to have the subs/chips/drinks out. One of the baristas came out and said I couldn't have my drink. I said well, I guess I'm leaving. He said I could put my drink in my car. I said why, so it can melt ? I said no thanks and I threw my coffee away and kept my food/drink from Mr pickles. I don't understand why they wouldn't want to have the support of the other businesses in the strip. And I really don't understand why I couldn't have another drink, especially since we all ordered coffee from there. The lake is really nice, however the drinks are average and the service is hit or miss. Some of them have real attitude problems and need a crash course on customer service. The rules are a bit aggressive as compared to a big name coffee shop, but I guess you come here for a different experience right? I'm just honestly really disappointed with the level of customer service offered at this coffee shop- I experienced nothing but hostility and unprofessionalism from the staff regarding a cup of water I had from another restaurant. I had purchased multiple coffees and was enjoying a conversation on the patio when an employee (Matthew) approached me and informed me that I could no longer sit there because I had a cup with a Pepsi logo. I understand that this policy is to prevent people from sitting without paying, but it's really disheartening that there was no level of accommodation toward someone that had clearly spent money at their establishment (for example, offering an empty cup with the Coffee Rush logo to pour my water into). What made the encounter even more insulting was the fact that other customers had branded disposable water bottles, but nothing was said to them. Honestly, it's not a good look, and I feel like the level of customer service at this establishment has steadily gone down over the years. Also, a quick non sequitur to one of the baristas, it's really crass to be loudly discussing your sex life while making drinks behind the counter. I get that there is a labor shortage right now, but please, for the love of God, consider replacing these extremely childish individuals with some actual adults. read more

My friend and I were next in line and were in the clear to order so we thought until Bald Manager Nathan abruptly told us he was helping another customer and that we needed to go back in line. How were we supposed to know he was still helping a customer since she had stepped aside!? He spoke to us in a condescending manner while using hand gestures. The bald barrista/manager at this location is incredibly rude and it seems every negative review here is because of that jerk. I have been coming to coffee rush since 2006 and my friend and I were blown away with the rude service we received. My friend and I were next in line, ready to order coffee and bald dude comes and tells us that he was actually still helping another customer but the way he did so was just so condescending. He used hand gestures and spoke to us as if we were children. The line was clear for us and we had no idea he was still helping the customer in front us as they had stepped to the side, no big deal right? No need to speak so rude. The problem is, this bald barrista has been pretty consistent in being this way, cold at best and down right rude like he was today. When confronted about this, his response was cold and indifferent, and he responded with "sorry you feel that way." My family has been coming to coffee rush for many years, spending hundreds of dollars a month, but after this I will get my coffee elsewhere. I have been a regular at Coffee rush off and on for some time now. On two different occasions I've had issues with a certain employee in regards to internet password access. And on another occasion I've had an encounter with a young lady. The first time we purchased our beverages however my wife forgot to ask for an internet password. I went in to ask for one and the barista responds in a sarcastic and condescending tone ," deed you buy anyyyyything to dwink today"? I turned and walked away and asked my wife if she could go in and get a password. Then on Sunday Feb, 27, 22 which was my third incident. I was having issues with my password. Again my wife went in and purchased a number of drinks for my kids, her and, myself. I went in and asked for a new password because the one I had been wasn't working. As I am standing there with the ticket in my hand . He ask, "well how long ago did you get that one" ? I took a deep breath sighed turned and walked away. As I was walking away I could here the barista say something to the effect of, "that's what I thought". Well I guess they watched which table I went back to. Because, by the time my wife came in they already had the ticket printed and waiting. Later that day when returnEd home I wrote the owner of the coffee shop. And explained what happened on Sunday plus the other two times before. He wrote back that he spoke with his staff and, it was just a "misunderstanding" , He stated that there rules and policies ( assuming my ticket was expired and that I was trying to run multiple devices off a single password,more assumptions) say only 3hours per purchase on the internet and, that's what his employee was trying to explain however, I had only been there maybe 10 -15min. And at the point when I walked out no one, the manger included made any attempt to speak with me. And as the for the girl who attempted to kick me of the patio. He said the rule is buy your drinks first before you sit down. But, I've never witnessed this policy enforced against any other customers. I have been going here since I was a kid and have always had great experiences. My fiancé and I drove a long way to go to Coffee Rush today and the bald manager was so unnecessarily rude to us, that we left without ordering anything. I could not believe that this man felt it was okay to stare down my fiancé and I as we were happily trying to figure out our order. When our eyes met I smiled at him thinking that we must know each other and that's why he's staring. Nope. With the rudest tone of voice he says, "Do you guys want to get in line?". I was like, "What? I'm sorry." And he said, "the line is here." Pointing behind him. How the hell would I know the line started behind him? I've been a retail manager for years so I understand how you should interact with customers. All of the other managers seem like the warmest most endearing people so I'm sad he's on the payroll associated with them and the brand. This guy is a dick. I called them after the fact to see if I could let someone know that he was probably having a bad day and should stay away from customer interactions but no one answered the phone. Well they were conveniently located the day I went. Right next to the cellular repair shop. i went with my usual Sbux drinkee and they whipped up their rendition for me. BONUS! Buying an extra shot of espresso here is gonna get you two shots. I will take that. A medium size mocha with four shots of espresso is ideal for any afternoon. Service was super pleasant and helpful in making decisions too. Nice day so we sat on patio closest to the water to take advantage of the days warmth. Only disappointment was young woman chatting with her friend/date so loudly it made it difficult to enjoy being out there. My son eventually left our table to move closer to building to improve his Wifi connection, or so he said. He later confessed it was because of her volume. Rush is my go to coffee shop in Chandler. Not only is the staff friendly and welcoming the moment you walk in, they always seem to remember my drink order. It is always busy, but you never have to wait long to get your order in; not to mention they always joke with you or ask you about your day, which makes the time go by much faster. I recently defected from the big business coffee shops with the green umbrellas on every corner. The service here is very friendly and the coffee is consistently good. The outdoor patio is nice when people aren't smoking. Inside is okay but feels too close when people are in line and the tables are full. I am a frequent customer at this location. Tonight I was approached by Nathan (store manager). If you want to call him that. I was here to finish a paper and was told I needed to leave the premises since I had not purchased a drink from this particular coffee rush. I was set to meet a friend at their Gilbert and baseline location, while I was there I got a drink and made myself comfortable. Turns out we were supposed to meet at the ray and alma school location, so I rushed there. I completely understand the whole get a drink for Wifi rule, what I don't understand is the attitude. I got a coffee from the same company, just not this location. I told him where I was just at but he didn't care nor did he ever mentioned if you want to hang out there everyone has to get a drink. My friend got a drink, so I thought nothing of it. Then Nathan, very aggressively, wanted me to buy a drink. He made the whole situation so awkward that everyone was looking at me. I was singled out for no other reason. He called me a "loiter" and said I was "just wasting space, and had to leave." He was rude and very unprofessional. If you want a place to hang out go somewhere else because this place just wants your money. Their furniture is all outdated, and their employees will literally kick you out in the most embarrassing way possible. You could literally go to the worst rated Starbucks and probably get better service then here. Overall NEVER going to any coffee rush location ever. Update 10/10 would not recommend. read more

Boyyyyy. Can i give six stars? This place is exactly what I like when I think coffee shop. Great ambiance, extremely personal and friendly. (The guy up front knew the people ordering by name when they came up to order.) The prices are not insane and the variety is super large. I like how well broken down all the menus are and I love that they have the fun boards with the specials and the most bought items. The guy who helps us was super knowledgeable in helping us with a choice for our first time going, more my joint than my fiancés he's a tea guy, but the coffee was amazing I had a "loaded" iced coffee with vanilla I believe. Heard pretty good things about this establishment but overall, I'm pretty disappointed. It was my first time here so I was just looking at the menu and trying to contact a friend who wanted me to grab some whole beans for them. The bald barista(I'm guessing he's the manager based on other reviews) was very rude and rushed me to order something while I was standing on the side checking out the menu. When I went up to order, I asked what he would recommend as it's my first time and when I asked for a non-sweet drink, he rudely said "just get a black coffee" After sitting here for a while, it's pretty clear that this guy doesn't care too much about the customers. As a traveler I always try to avoid big coffee house chains like Starbucks so I can experience different local flavor. Nothing wrong with Starbucks but I find it nice to support some of the other local businesses. Looking for an early morning fix I happen to come across Coffee Rush on my Yelp search. From the Yelp photos there seemed to be some outdoor seating with a view of a pond. Combine that with solid reviews I decided to give Coffee Rush a try. It was only 10am but it was already too warm for a hot drink so I decided to roll with an iced mint mocha. Value and taste wise the drink was good and went well with the fresh baklava. The employees/barristas were very friendly and offered me a punch card. I informed them that I was from out of town and they expressed their gratitude for trying Coffee Rush out. Overall a great experience at Coffee Rush. Good coffee, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, free wifi, and a friendly staff made this coffee stop a nice alternative to Starbucks.
