ugh.. no effort at all made here to create a pleasant experience. just moved here and the first time i came in i left with a bad taste in my mouth. i've returned a few times both to satisfy the need for coffee and also to almost conduct an experiment; to give this place a chance to be worth coming to. i have come in when it's slow, when it's busy, and despite bringing as pleasant an attitude as a customer needs to in order to receive even decent treatment.. i feel like a bother, an interruption. it almost feels like my presence confuses the folks behind the bar. brusque, but not in a charming way. talkative but always self-concerned ramblings that (i feel) don't need aired to the whole cafe. no need to say i'll never be back, as provo leaves few options for substitutes. however, i'll do my best to avoid having to deal with the consistently unfriendly fellow generally there morning through afternoon. are you a complex person that can be really nice once you feel comfortable/obliged/encouraged? i think the business and the customers would be better served if you left your sour attitude at home or found a position where pleasant interaction with others is less frequently required. read more

By far my favorite coffee place in Utah County. Their dirty chai is the absolute best! ...However, I don't love the atmosphere. Some of the employees are super nice, but others have been quite rude. I also tend get in and out quickly to avoid the not-so-friendly regulars. I don't have any plans to ever stop going, but I don't think I'd ever feel welcome to sit and enjoy my beverage. read more

Oh glorious coffee pod! This shop is where all my excessive coffee drinking began and where it will stay! The baristas are the BEST! The coffee is the BEST! The atmosphere is the BEST!!! If they would let me, I would live in the back and never leave! Not even of there was a fire!! Lisa is always absolutely the sweetest to me, chris makes the most kick ass coffee ever! Place: I usually get coffee to go so the atmosphere is not concern of mine, but seems cozy. Taste: Staff are friendly and always great so I want to support them, but I can't get past a strange aftertaste in anything I get with shots. I don't know if its the beans, roast, the temperature, or time of the shots - but there is an aftertaste to their coffee I don't like. Just came here for the first time in a long time because there's a Starbucks by me now that I always go to. The coffee is good but the staff is not friendly, which is a huge deal to me and I probably won't be coming back because of it. The man that helped me seemed annoyed and wouldn't even look me in the eye. I definitely don't like people who don't like helping people when that is their job. I work in customer service and am upset when I get treated this way at other places. Starbucks is always overly friendly so I think I'll just go back there. read more

Went and checked this place out a few days ago the staff was super friendly. I asked my batista to make me something sweet but not too sweet, seeing how I had never patroned the place before I wanted what they thought would be a great fit for me they gave me what I believe was called a Mexi Mocha it was amazing it had cinnamon in it nothing like anything I have ever had before! My favorite place to study! I come here 2-3 times per week during the school year. It is never crazy loud or packed which I love. It has a great atmosphere and great drinks. My favorites are an iced chai or an iced black tea with vanilla. The service is pretty slow and going through the drive-thru is not worth it unless you want to sit in your car for 30 minutes, but I love the place either way! read more

Its great to finally find a decent coffee place right in Provo. I had the Mexi ice blended, was able to order it with soymilk, always a bonus, and it was delicious. Did not give four stars, due to the lack of quality pastries. But the coffee itself was good, and reasonably priced. read more

I'd been going to this place for a while. I wanted to like it. I can't tell you how many times I'd gone in the evening to read and been told at random times they were closing early, apparently just because they wanted to leave, while people were still lining up for drinks. Also often it is freezing cold inside, I saw the thermostat reading 59F , and I asked if they could turn the AC down, and was given some rubbish explanation from the owner and proceeded to leave. Also, don't plan on sitting outside unless you want to be choking in a cloud of cigarette smoke, even the side table with " No smoking at this table" written, still there is always someone smoking there. The location is very bad, parking lot always a cluster mess, and constantly drunk or worse type hobos asking for cigarettes.. etc. read more

This place used to be really good. Great coffee and atmosphere. I just went there and had to write a review. It completely sucks now! Not only does the staff scowl at you the whole time, making it feel hostile and awkward, but you're bombarded with these handwritten passive aggressive signs everywhere. For example, on the door it says, "Wifi with purchase, no outside food or drink." Okay, that's reasonable. You get to the counter and there's another sign that says, "If you're on your phone we'll help you when you're done." Ok... And then there's another saying, "Please don't help yourself to the cups." Um, do they even want customers there? It's not unreasonable but it creates this really weird atmosphere that make me never want to come back. Which sucks because I get coffee all the time. It's sad that a good business has gone downhill. read more

I come to this coffee shop every time I am in town... which is about every two weeks. Yes I have had better french press coffee in my day- BUT it has WONDERFUL drinks and is basically just as good as any other place you can find in Utah or surrounding states. I hate when people come on here and talk about one certain barista or what not- whether the girls wear shoes or not is an irrelevant review [cough CORINNA] sounds like someone's just jealous? I have met all the staff there [I'm almost certain] and they all are equally friendly, professional and the drinks are always consistently tasty. Generally speaking I have a good experience here. I usually stop in pretty quick. The coffee is always great go to place when I'm in Provo. However, today I chose to sit down with some work and spend more time here. I have never been spoken to more rudely by an owner/ employee only minutes after arriving and sitting down. The experience in a coffee shop is as important to me as the coffee. I spend a lot of down time in them and for the owner/employee to speak so shortly and unkindly, made me feel unwelcome. I took my niece and nephew to this establishment. I purchased (3) pastries and (1) cup of coffee. The total was about $11.00 +/- I paid with my debit card, I signed my name on their electronic register (IPad). I asked for a receipt and I was told that no receipts were available. I had to enter my email address for a receipt. Well, given the amount and noting a line waiting behind me to be helped, I decided not to get a receipt. The next day, when I checked my account on Mint, noticed the charge was not $11 but $40.25!! I have never spent $40 on coffee! Tried to call the merchant, but there was no answer and their answering machine was full. Called my bank to challenge the amount and my account was credited for $40.25. I waited several weeks to see if a charge of $11.00 +/- from this merchant would post in my account. Well, another charge of $40.25 showed up in my account. This merchant simply re-submitted the charge with a different date!! I don't know what happened, perhaps the person who served us, pocketed the difference. I hate to think that, because I really like local-owned establishments, and especially, I seek out women-owned businesses. Next time, I will surely enter my email address!! read more
