Breakfast sandwich with Canadian bacon was delicious but nothing beats the pecan banana bread! Oh yeah, and the vanilla latte was not too sweet, as they can sometimes be. read more

Coffee Plant Roaster - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

This is the PNW, and people love their coffee here. The options are almost endless, from drive-through to storefronts to corner cafes to boutique roasters, not to mention the convenience stores, kiosks and restaurants that also sell it. A new business trying to break through all of that competition needs something unusual. I didn't get that in my first trip to this place. They do offer all of the usual espresso drinks as well as the cup o' joe to get you through the weekday morning at a reasonable price. They also have bagged coffee, which they sell representing different regions (Guatemala, Panama, Kenya). Their baked goods selection is woefully underdeveloped, however, and they don't offer anything cooked or even sandwiches at lunch. It's a shame because they space is nice, and hanging out here for an hour or two could be awesome if there was a compelling reason. There are at least a half dozen other coffee places on West 11th alone. A decent menu would make this place stand out. It is still very new - a guy was drilling into walls while I was there - so there is still hope. read more

So the coffee is delicious. The guy who took our order was super friendly but the barista and some other lady were miserable and cranky. We were standing at the counter, waiting for our drinks, and the barista served them at a different counter. She knew we were standing there waiting. They looked miserable. Bad experience. Two stars for the food and drink (and the friendly guy taking the order). read more

Such a wonderful experience at CPR! Great service, an exceptional environment and a delicious cup of rooibos tea... next time I'm back in Eugene, I'll definitely stop by again. read more

Great coffee service, and location. Best coffee hangout for students and business meetings in Eugene. I'm not the biggest fan of the house made chai (it's not sweetened with the right honey, and it's not spicy enough, like Blue Lotus Chai, it tastes a bit off). I love all the other drinks and their juices are AMAZING. My SO and i love their mocha, too! I just had lunch here for the first time and I wish I hadn't gone for the curry because it was bland. Next time I want to try the insane avocado toast. It looks really good. Thank you CPR for great coffee and juices! I'm so glad juice bars are coming to Eugene. read more

The best avocado toast I've ever had! And I order it regularly in lots of towns. Lots of Guacamole (almost 1/2 inch thick) with chucks of avocado, on delicious while wheat bread toasted (also offer sourdough). The topping idea of whipped ricotta was such a yummy touch. Sprinkled with flower petals even. Very impressed! $9.00 read more

I went there with my friends for the first time cuz one of my friends recommended me. I ordered cafe au lait and Salmon sandwiches. They are good but my friends ordered today's soup w bread. That soup was not good and bread was burned. So she couldn't eat that. And inside of there was really really cold. I'm disappointed. read more

Way to hit it out of the park, Eugene. Support this third wave coffee establishment! It's a little out of the way, but well worth the trip. Good food and amazing pastries too. read more

We were driving through the area and stopped by. Decent coffee, cozy modern atmosphere, and staff was kind! one of the workers kept checking in on us. There are alot of food options that looked good ! read more

I really love this place it is Eugene Unique The coffee's and teas are so very wonderful to be able to try so many different flavors. The food is so yummy and very unique and fresh. It is like a gourmet kitchen for breakfast and I still order online or pick up at the pick up window because it is that good, imo. I personally love the nitro cold brew and the breakfast biscuits and the potatoes are seasoned so well. Love it. read more

What a gem! So glad we happened by this place. Coffee Plant Roaster made us realize that we've been so corrupted by Starbucks, that we forgot what really good coffee is! The froth in our lattes is like a heavenly cloud...mmmmm read more

Went there and ordered a coffee but needed it iced. The girl wouldn't make it iced for me and was like "well we don't want to waste product" after they had made it hot. It was super awkward and I was really annoyed because, I paid for this drink and honestly what they charged me was more than what it takes to makes two of those so her point was pretty invalid. I've always loved going here, but because of that I'm really not interested anymore. read more

My wife and I tried this place out. Pretty good coffee, but food prices are really high for what you get. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, it was tiny and not worth the high price tag. Also, staff was rude to my wife. Not going back. read more

Cute place! The espresso isn't that great for the price. Lacked flavor and was a bit watery.

Long time fan and booster of this place. Great coffee. Great food. I love it and want to support. However, I am continually disappointed that they continue only using disposal cups, plates, etc., even for eat in. I can't abide the waste anymore and I won't be returning until they return to using real cups and plates for dine in. read more

What a great and rare find out on W 11th! I appreciate any place that knows how to do a pour over and celebrates the beauty of single origin light roasts. I love the modern industrial atmosphere and the packaging in mason jars. Great branding, menu and chalkboard art. My only nitpicky thing is that it smells like toasted cheese instead of fresh coffee when you walk in, which I found distracting. But my cup of coffee tasted delicious and was made with care with a chemex. It was not the most complex cup I've ever had, but I am from Seattle and used to buy coffee at Whole Foods, so I am just appreciative at the effort being made by some of the newer coffee shops here. I am thrilled that Coffee Plant Roaster is here to foster the growing coffee culture in Eugene! read more

Today was my first time here. When I walked in I was excited by the menu and was looking for a healthy option like avocado toast. I was even willing to pay the higher price for the quality I thought it would be. I was so disappointed. The spread appeared to be pre mushed avocado and was covered with way to much garlic and was way too salty! I called later to complain, as my order was to go, and was hoping they would make good for the food that ended up in the garbage. But there was no offer to compensate for the expensive slice of bread (I think it cost $9). I love local, but I won't recommend and won't go back. read more

Wow great place in Eugene their food was surprisingly delicious, flavors I wasn't expecting. At first the coffee was sour tasting but it meshed well with the great food . read more

Really liked this place. Great food. Coffee was excellent. I do wish this place was dog friendly. That is the only negative.

CPR has excellent coffee and food. The lack of more stars is because the music is way too loud to ever have a conversation (I sound like my dad) or focus on reading a book and the internet is always spotty so if you need a place to work it can be questionable. Just a general solid place to grab coffee. read more

Very bad customer experience. I went in for an interview; we sat near the counter and the baristas kept talking to each other about me loud enough for me to hear and giving me odd/dirty looks every time they walked by. A very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. Decent coffee but horrible customer service. And very overpriced I might add. I would not recommend the coffee or the experience for the price you pay in both money and comfort. read more

If I am paying 6$ for a latte the least I expect is wifi that works. The staff was inconsiderate and extremely unhelpful when I asked for assistance. The environment felt snoody and stuck up. I would not recommend this place if you're planning eating in. Should have gone to starbucks. read more

Partner and I came her for morning coffee and food. Got a pumpkin latte. I asked for it half sweet and it tasted like sugar. I had the barista remake it and it was still gross. We ordered breakfast sandwiches, paid $8 per sandwich it literally came on a English muffin, a piece of cheese and sausage patty. Was stale. $8!? Really. Terrible coffee experience disgusting food. Not going back, read more

I had breakfast here for the first time last week and was completely and throughly impressed! The breakfast sandwich with sausage on a biscuit was AMAZING! The egg was perfectly cooked, the sausage was excellent and the biscuit...OMG. I was not expecting the best biscuit I've ever had to come out of a coffee shop on West 11th! I am always impressed when the restaurant and bathrooms are super clean, the employees were friendly and the coffee great. If you live in Eugene and have a habit of hanging out in the downtown area, you should really expand your horizons and check out this little place on West 11th. It was completely worth the trip. read more

The barista who took my order was really sweet and friendly. I got an iced chai which was really good. Cool spot to study at and chill with friends. Not really a quiet place but with headphones it's good. It's a good spot for study sessions with friends that wanna talk. I'll definitely come back to hangout here. read more

Really loved the atmosphere of this place. Unfortunately, their vegan options are limited but they had plenty of vegetarian options. If they are able to shift more of these vegetarian options to also be vegan friendly, I will definitely come more often and bring my friends! read more

The ambiance of this place is amazing! It's such a great place to catch up with friends or to read a book. I also really enjoy the cleanliness and excellent customer service here. Everyone is always willing to help and give you any suggestions, which I enjoy with my indecisive mind! There is lots of seating, but the parking can get tricky. Some of the parking spots are rather narrow and can fill up pretty fast, especially on Saturday's. I have been coming here for the past year every so often. However, the last time I was in, I was surprised to see there being a charge on card purchases of less than $5. I am also dairy-free so I asked for a little bit of almond milk in my coffee, another charge. No big deal, but when a 12oz Americano comes down to $5 it can get a little frustrating. I also ordered food: eggs with bacon and some toast. The food was ok, but it felt dry and a little tasteless. Overall, the coffee and service are good! Their food could be a little better, and I wish there was no charge on the almond milk. Nonetheless, I will still be coming in for my americano but would probably be better of getting food elsewhere. read more

I see alot of reviews on here saying the customer service is rude. I actually had really great, friendly service. So that wasnt a problem. But I ordered an au lait and it was very watery. The avocado toast was delicious though! The space is really great and I definitely will be trying it again! read more

I really wanted to like this place, but it continually lets me down. The coffee is meh, and the service is notably terrible. And I am a polite and friendly customer, who isn't very demanding. I've had enough bad experiences that I won't be back. read more

I don't always go to West 11th but I always brew CPR beans at home. Absolutely love everything about this place. We finely have a legit coffee shop on W11th. The coffee is great & fresh soup & grilled cheese specials daily. YES! I love this place. Great staff, amazing coffee and high quality food! It's a great addition in an otherwise blah part if town.
