Great service and good food. Been on this road trip for 4 days and our breakfast meal for 4 here at Coffee Kettle has been the cheapest and largest of portion sizes. Tourist cities drive up meal prices. Drove about 15 minutes from our "hotel" but very much worth it because there were no lines, and it was soooo clean. It's casual and bright and welcoming inside. There are tvs for your viewing pleasure, showers for the road-weary and a great convenience store with lots to pick from. Best of all, there's coffee! I definitely recommend. Also, did you see the restroom? Sooo clean and with bidet!

3 egg omelet with three ingredients. Side of fruit instead of has browns or potatoes.

Our only complaint, and the reason I didn't give 5 stars was the service was SO SLOW. We waited about 20 minutes to get seated, totally understandable, but once we were seated it was about 15 minutes before we saw our waitress, then another 20 minutes before they brought our drinks(we ordered food the same time we ordered drinks). Once food came we saw her one time in the middle and then didn't see her again for another 30 minutes. We ordered desserts, waited about 15 minutes for those and didn't get one of our desserts delivered. So it was a rough service experience. The food was really good and the outside patio was great seating! We will come back but hopefully have better service!

My husband thinks the steak (locally raised) is one of the best steaks he's ever had. He also enjoyed their burgers. The tamarind glazed salmon and risotto dish, salads and mashed potatoes were my favorite, but truly, everything brought to the table was high-quality and delicious. Including the dessert (key lime pie and crème brûlée). Our server, Whitney, was wonderful. She is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu and potential adjustments (made recommendations that accommodated my gluten-free diet). She was a real joy and made the dining experience all the more special. We will definitely be back!

This visit, driving back to LA from Monument Valley. Also made a pit stop for gas. The location is just off the freeway in a little strip with a hotel. Which I've stayed at and tried this place for the first time. It's alway packed here so it's a good thing for them. It was about 30 minutes wait when we walked in but got seated around 10 minutes later. Busy of course. Menu wise, there's literally everything on it. It's like reading a newspaper. There was three of us and a mixture of meals was had. I alway love the chicken fried steak here. It's a massive potion so be warned. There's a smaller order but why not go big. That's served with gravy, house potatoes or hash browns, eggs and biscuits. The biscuits alone is the size of a baseball. Then the tri tip meal with onion rings and cole slaw. And a chicken Cobb salad. Let me just say, the size of the salad was enough to feed 2 maybe 3 people. It was enormous. Food wise, everything was good. The only thing this time, the chicken fried steak was a bit overcooked and crunchy. Even with the gravy, it was still too much. But besides that, the meal was nice. Service was amazing. Our waitress was excellent. Don't remember her name but she was so sweet and friendly. Refills were always touched up without asking. Everyone working was a doll. You pay at the register up front where there's also a little gift shop with everything. Apparels, toys, souvenirs, slippers down to boxers and pajamas. So it's like a must each time we past through this area.

We put our name in around 9:45am. The 30-45 minute wait time was just under 80 minutes. Ten minutes after being seated, we had menus but no waters, place settings, or server.  The host station was 6 feet from us, so I went over and let them know we were ready. "Your server will be with you shortly." Ten more minutes, nothing. I went to the bar area and asked for help. Turns out, our server didn't know our table was part of her area - so, the host was just saying a line to get rid of us. There were two hosts and mostly they tried to avoid clearing tables, hoping the other one did it. There were 3-4 parties waiting for tables that were available, just not being cleared.  The food was good, and came out fairly soon after ordering. I wish I could just review the food; it was 5/5. One order was slightly wrong, but that was the server grabbing the wrong plate. It was just after noon by the time our food arrived. That's a big interval for a ~9:45am arrival. I just looked at the most recent dozen reviews, and it looks like ours was more of the norm right now rather than an isolated unlucky incident. Lots of potential here but overall, we should've tried somewhere else.

Full bar with service from the menu, several rooms with a few tables and where we were seated th back room with a nice booth. We split the Crab cakes they were very nice cooked golden brown and a good amount of crabmeat. Then we had the table side Ceaser salad. Our waiter Carlos did a great job and it was delicious. Carlos and our busboy ( sorry I forgot his name )were very attentive without being rude or annoying and made a great team . The dear wife had Veal piccata and mashed potatoes as a side, it was very tasty. I had the Utah Wagu filet special with two shrimp scampi, grilled carrots and broccolini , I got a side of baked potato fully loaded. We had wanted to get dessert but we both were way too full. Last night we wanted to celebrate and decided to go to the Lounge in Katherine's to enjoy a nice cocktail for a celebratory toast and have a small bite to eat as we weren't in the mood for a large meal. The bartender was very welcoming and our drinks were quite good. We ordered the Katherine's Burger, the French Dip Sliders and also the lobster bisque as I heard it was very good. The bartender specifically asked if I wanted the bisque first so I know that he heard my order correctly, but a waiter brought me French Onion instead. I told him it wasn't my order and I had ordered the bisque but he just kind of looked at me without saying anything or offering to bring me the correct soup. Since we were there mostly to enjoy a nice drink and I was sort of torn between ordering the French onion anyway, I told him it was fine and I would just eat that instead because I was quite hungry. But after trying the soup, it was not very good at all so I asked the bartender if I could just get the bisque I had ordered instead. The bisque came along with the rest of our order but was cold. The flavor was good though despite the temperature so I ate it. My husband's Katherine's burger was just ok, nothing special but my french dip sliders were very disappointing. Good flavor (especially the grilled onions) but just a dry pile of meat, onions and cheese on a dry bun. No horseradish aioli as the menu stated and nothing to dip it in. I ate one and brought the rest home. I was quite excited to give Katherine's a try but it was so disappointing that I doubt we will return. We should have just stuck with the drinks and skipped the expensive and huge letdown on the food.
