Another place in the San Fernando Valley that's easy to overlook. The corner of Moorpark and Whitsett is always surprisingly busy, but if you're ever stuck here, look around and you'll find Coffee Fix, everything an independent coffee shop should be. Parking is hit or miss, but I'm sure you'll find some kind of street parking in the neighborhood...how far you want to walk will be up to you, but it's a nice neighborhood so enjoy a walk, it's good for you. Walking in, it looks like any other coffee shop. Wood tables...those red metal chairs...some interesting art and design choices on the wall. The music isn't too loud, an eclectic indie playlist you'll either tune out or enjoy. The vibes here are perfect. The menu is vast and simple. There's plenty of options from your usual coffee choices and a variety of teas and ways to enjoy them. For my first visit, I opted for their honey latte and I tried one of their bagels with cream cheese. I went on a Friday afternoon, thinking it'd be quiet and the place was surprisingly packed. Despite there being a lot of people, service was quick and friendly and I was out of there as soon as my bagel was toasted. The coffee is good. It's a bit bolder and a bit more acidic than say a blonde roast, but the flavor packs a nice punch. I got my honey latte hot, with oat milk, but I feel like their coffee would be better iced, at least for my tastes. The bagel is solid...it's not quite NY style, but it's still way better than most bagels you'll find in Los Angeles. They're very doughy, chewy, and has a nice crunch to the crust. The jalapeno cheddar had a decent bit of heat to it which was balanced nicely by the healthy amount of cream cheese. They have other food too. The pastries are supplied by cake monkey bakery and are one of the best in town that supply all the good coffee shops. By 1pm though, they were out of a lot of stuff so come early (and often). They also have a nice selection of sandwiches and salads if you want something more for lunch. Add another hidden gem to my Yelp infinity gauntlet.

So I was looking for a coffee place and realized I had bookmarked this place but I couldn't figure out why. Since I was in the areas, I decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! It was a Friday morning and I went with a Vanilla Iced Latte and the Lotto Sandwich on an everything bagel. The lotto sandwhich was freshly made, with the steam still coming out of the sandwhich when I received it. It was like biting into breakfast heaven! I devoured that sandwhich! And considering I normal don't eat breakfast, that was absolutely delicious. The coffee was a perfect pairing with my breakfast bagel. I'm so glad I gave this place a try. Overall just great taste and great vibes

Truly the best cold tuna sandwich I've had. Attentiveness is always shown by staff. Inviting seating areas to enjoy during my lunch hour. Thank you Tae!

There is a couple dedicated parking spaces behind the store. The interior dining room was packed, but they do offer outdoor seating in the front. The person working in the register was very kind and patient. Recommended I try the combo Panini. They were not wrong, it was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. Also had a large vanilla latte. Overall experience was great and the prices are very reasonable, especially for Los Angeles.

Back again to write another review for one of my favorite hidden gems in the SFV. Coffee fix is the ultimate locals only spot because it's off the beaten path a bit at the intersection of Whitsett and Moorpark (across from the library). I love love love their outdoor seating. They have about 5 or 6 tables maybe outside and it's a great spot to pull up a stroller or your dogs. They even have umbrellas which is super nice because some of the tables are on the sidewalk in the sun. They have inside seating too and it's got the perfect blend of indie coffee shop vibe and cafe. They are always busy but you never have to wait too long for drinks. Food can sometimes take a minute but worth the wait! They give you a little beeper so you can go and sit at your table while you wait. Great people and traffic watching! I looooooove their cold brew. I could drink it all day. Also their pesto chicken panini (which I have raved about in previous reviews) is what I compare all chicken pesto paninis too. The bread is SO crunchy and perfectly toasted. The cheese and the chicken are so yummy...now I'm getting hungry. They also have a variety of pastries and snacks if you are on the go. No matter where I am living in the SFV I've always made the trek here because I love it so much. Great place to work too!

Coffee, coffee, coffee...I live for my coffee fix, so this place had me at the name! The perfect neighborhood spot to grab your 'cup of joe' to go or plant yourself at a table with a friend or to catch up on work. I have only driven past this place a zillion times over the years and finally made my way inside! Not sure why it took me so long! I met a dear friend who I had not seen in many years, and this was the perfect mid way spot. I ordered their "Brown Sugar Latte," and a croissant that I shared with my friend. The entire staff were very hip, young and friendly! Plenty of seats inside and a few tables out front. My latte was tasty and made correctly (which isn't always my experience as you may know!) The croissant was fresh and flaky. *Plenty of free street parking (read street cleaning signs) *Free Wifi *Mom & kid friendly

Bought an iced Lavender oat milk latte. It was pretty good! I liked how the medium comes with 3 shots of espresso. Pretty good balance in sweetness, creaminess and taste of espresso. Good service and enough seating available for a Saturday late morning. Also outdoor seating! Will def come back when I get my nails done next door

Lotto Bagel Sandwich - clean and fresh ingredients, no greasy at all.
    Melissa N.

Coffee Fix not only has the best coffee but I discovered today they have the best breakfast meals as well. I had the Lotto Bagel which i attached a picture of the half i hadn't eaten yet and as you can see it is not greasy at all which i love (fitness girly) and the ingredients are all so fresh. The service is really quick, I got my items within 5 minutes after ordering. Ambiance of the place is nice, people are there working or studying. Highly recommended this place!

So yummy! Great fast service, plenty of tables to sit indoor and outdoor! They were nice enough to add arugula to my bacon cream cheese sandwich. I would definitely come again! When in the valley lol

    Matcha Latte
    Michelle B.

I came by on a Thursday afternoon to grab a drink and have a different place to sit and knit for a while. There is free street parking on Moorpark though I parked on the side street nearby of Babcock Ave for ease of leaving. I brought enough yarn to finish a little over an hour of knitting here. This place was crowded! They offer WiFi and there's a big crowd (enough all the tables were occupied and when someone left, immediately taken) of people working remotely as well as people coming in to order food and drinks and sit and chat. They offer indoor and limited outdoor seating. If you'd like to come here regularly, they offer a punch card where after a certain # of drinks, you can get a free drink. Matcha Latte (hot, with whole milk, unsweetened) 4/5, this is a traditional matcha that is bitter, if you're looking for a sweeter matcha they do offer sweetener. I would have liked a bit more matcha powder for the matcha : milk ratio but otherwise this was nice.

Hands down, this is the BEST coffee I've had in the entire state of California. The quality of the beans is on another level, and you can truly taste the difference in every sip. Smooth, rich, and incredibly fresh. The customer service? Beyond expectations. The staff made me feel so welcomed and genuinely cared about my experience. It's rare to find that kind of hospitality in a busy coffee spot, but they nailed it. Let's talk about the Panini--absolutely incredible! Honestly, I didn't expect a coffee shop to serve such high-quality food, but this Panini was next-level delicious. Crispy on the outside, fresh and flavorful on the inside. I'm still thinking about it. I loved the coffee so much, I bought 2 bags of beans to take back home to Vegas. I'm already planning my next trip to California just to come back here. If you're even thinking about stopping by--do it. Highly, highly recommend!

This is the best independent coffee shop in the area. The cold brew is so good and they have so many great selections for food and drinks. Bagel sandwiches are a great choice. It's pretty busy here, but you can still usually find a place to sit and work for a little while while you have your coffee. What really pushes them over the edge is how genuinely kind the staff are. You can tell that they enjoy working there and really care about their business and customers.

Didn't smile, was stiff, and not pleasant at all. I ordered 2 bagels. An Onion Bagel with egg, bacon, avocado, tomato & Mozzarella cheese. The cheese was not melted, the bacon was not crispy at all and barely any bits to it. The 2nd bagel was a lox bagel with capers, chives, cream cheese, lettuce & tomato. On everything bagel. Both bagels were not toasted to my liking, was cold, lox was not fresh, and the blueberry muffin that I ordered never made it to my table. I had to go twice to ask him for my Decaf Iced Vanilla latte and the 2nd bagel(lox) was not cut in half. Place was somewhat clean, there were 2 tables that was dirty with napkins, cups from the previous customer/S, before I even walked into the shop. While my life pahtner is more into sweets, I'm more into savory, so I was happy our daughter was taking us to a spot for a breakfast bagel sandwich. We also ordered a variety of Hank's bagels, which were a struggle to pull apart with your hands and even with a knife, but I really enjoyed my Everything Jalapeño Cheddar bagel. The star of my meal at Hank's was their Number 1 bagel sandwich. That alone warrants a 4.5 star rating. Hank's is located in Burbank, CA., specifically on Riverside Drive and Valley Street. Rose Street is another cross street. It's across from Sweetgreen and Philz Coffee. It's on the same side of Mendocino Farms and just down the road from Bob's Big Boy. The shop is neighbors to Tocaya Organica. Parking is street parking and neighborhood parking, which is where we parked and had to walk about a block to Hank's. There isn't any indoor seating, but there are outdoor covered umbrella seating in front of the shop. It would be challenging to have a large group dine there. The shop is all about their bagels, so the decor is minimal with tshirts hanging on their white walls, a glass display case showing their cream cheeses and other cold items, and a wire rack showing their Dirty Deli Style Potato Chips for sale. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and really helpful. We dined outside and the staff member who brought our food out was also courteous. Hank's is a shop where you order from their register and they call your name out when your food is ready. Hank's is a popular bagel shop with a lot of take out business as there was a steady flow of customers picking up on line, call in, or to go orders. For the variety of bagels we ordered, we ordered Rosemary Sea Salt, Salty Chocolate Chip, and I ordered the Everything Jalapeño Cheddar. The only issue I had with the bagels was how tough it was to tear or cut the bagels. Besides that, the bagels were very flavorful and tasty. Make sure to buy their plain cream cheese and liberally spread it on the bagels. The cream cheese made the bagels even more delicious. My Everything Jalapeño Cheddar bagel was too beautiful to eat. I love spicy, so maybe I'm immune to anything spicy, but I didn't taste any spiciness at all. There was a good amount of jalapeños on top, the cheddar doused the bagel, and I engulfed that bagel. The star of our breakfast meal was the Number 1 bagel sandwich. The number 1 comes with fried egg, choice of either spicy maple-glazed bacon or homemade turkey sausage, sharp cheddar, tomato, and aioli on an onion bagel. I selected the bacon and I loved it. I didn't realize this, but you can place any of their sandwiches on any of their bagels. Next time, I'm doing a sandwich with the Everything Jalapeño Cheddar bagel. The Number 1 sandwich is number 1 for a reason and I don't think you'll regret ordering this sandwich. All of the components combined with the bagel made for satisfying and yummy bites. I inhaled that sandwich and I thought that was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever eaten. We always love spending quality time with our Baby Girl. But they charged me $2.75 for a bagel plus $6.25 for another bagel with cream cheese when I only wanted the one with cream cheese. * the table inside aren't the cleanest, they had crumbs all over. Now were the bagels good?! Yes they were! I did appreciate the variety of spreads that they had. I only tired the blueberry cream cheese but it was delicious, it had blueberries in it and wasn't overly sweet! I old tried their bacon, 2 eggs and cheese and the big boss man! These were very filling but I do wish they came with some spread! Next time I'll just pickup bagels and make my own sandwiches at home as I can't justify $46 for 2 bagel sandwiches, one bagel with cream cheese and an unwanted extra bagel!
