The croissant wasn't warmed up & they didn't ask if we wanted it to be .. which was weird but the drinks were delicious and made up for it!! However, once we got home my girlfriend started saying she wasn't sure if they actually gave her oatmilk in her iced London fog.. and now she has the gnarliest farts known to man. Ohoho, after leaving deprived yet somewhat satisfied from the library, I decided a chai fix was in order. I poked in here and, once they were done chatting aside, I asked the cool hazelnut-haired chick what sort of chai offerings they've got. I think she pleasantly jumped out with: "Oh, we've got a nice powder chai, hot, iced cold and blended." "How's your dirty chai, can you do that?" (as if it sounded like a position, lol SMH) "Yeah, it's really good blended! You might like, wanna try it?" "Ok, sure. 12 oz, please." It was nice! Cool, chill, smooth---wait, basically a dirty chai smoothie! O_o I waited inside and then a seat outside opened up; good shade for the oncoming afternoon. Minor dings go to some things ruining my experience. About 10-15 hanging out here, dudes come outside to be dramatic on their phones with whoever they're not cool with or not getting along with or some destructive friendship. Yo, can you not? Not bad, not bad. Really nice guy working who made us our drinks. I got an iced mocha and it was pretty good. I'm picky with iced mochas, but this one was half way decent, so i was happy. And i didn't get a stomach ache after :] Although, i asked for extra ice but didn't get very much ice in it at all. I don't know why no coffee places ever grasp the concept of extra ice. it's not that hard. but that's beside the point. My iced mocha was pretty rich, really creamy, and not too sweet, just how i like it. I'm definitely going to have to come back here another time and get a crepe or a croissant with nutella and bananas. mmmmmm. Cute place, cute little menu. I have really fallen in love with coffee fix in the last year. Or more in love I should say, since I really fell for them immediately, and like any lasting relationship, that love has grown as I get to know them more and more. At 1st it was just the outside stuff. Walking distance from our house. Free Wi-Fi. The coffee that is both perfectly and artfully brewed, and also strong enough that I clean my whole house in 1 hour (yeah.) But- over time, the real coffee fix has become my coffee soul mate. Coby, one of the owners who is usually working when we go in, always remembers our names and our orders. He talks to everyone in line- because everyone is a regular. Because you don't go to other coffee shops after you go to coffee fix. They have cool local artists on the wall. They are nice to my baby. **It's like coffee shop cheers.** Today he gave me advice on the logo I was designing for my business. **It was good advice.** They have my favorite Kombucha. They have cool handmade coffee sleeves. The bathroom is cool. They are a small business doing it better than the big guys. They have breakfast all day. This is real love y'all. One day we decided to check out the local coffee shop in Studio City that seems to have a lot of regular customers! Right when we walked in, the two guys that were at the counter were saying hello to almost everyone by their first names! They had a coffee menu and a food menu (that includes sandwiches and breakfast items). They also sold pastries (e.g. muffins, croissants). I ordered a large Mocha and it was pretty good! I liked the fact that you can taste both the coffee and the chocolate. It wasn't overly sweet. The one thing that bothered me was that it took a while for them to acknowledge me at the counter (and I could tell that they were busy since it was their morning rush period) but they apologized and offered a free Croissant! The croissant was big and was buttery. FYI, they have a small parking lot in the back. You can also find some open spaces to park on the street. Overall, I would come back and give them another try. I wouldn't recommend it if you're in a hurry to go to work. read more

Excellent place to set up shop for a morning. The people working there are super nice and even helped me figure out my laptop set up for the free wifi. Ooh and do they know how to make a drink. I tried the vanilla blendy thingamahoo in the morning and then a freshly brewed iced tea with lemons in the afternoon and both were deelish. I didn't try any of the nibblies, but hey, there's always tonight, hee hee. They also have poetry nights and live music here and the crowd (at least during the day) all smiled and were very friendly. Coffee Fix is a nice spot to go alone and read and enjoy a good cup of coffee or meet a friend. There are a number of places to sit. It has a good vibe. It's clean. The staff is friendly. I wish they used bagels from Western Bagel or better yet from Manhattan Bagels instead of processed, packaged bagels though. They have pastries and some sandwiches. When we got here on a Sunday morning I wasn't if it was open because of the bars on the glass door. But they were... I guess the bars are permanently attached to the door, not one of those you can take down when your business is open. The guy behind the counter greeted us promptly once we walked in, friendly guy. We got a chai latte and a drip coffee - both good. We also had a chocolate croissant and the guy popped it in the microwave for us so the chocolate would melt... Yum. There was a customer in there who asked the guy alot of questions about coffee and he was very knowledgeable... granted I don't really know much about coffee. But he fielded all her questions with patience. Next time I'm going to come try their hot breakfast sandwich! The only reason why I gave it only 4 stars is because of the ghetto look from the outside and inside seating aren't as comfortable as other local coffee shops around. I would still come back here before going to a Starbucks though. read more

It's not often that I have felt like a regular somewhere, but I've been coming here for years and am always happy to soak up the positive vibes of Coffee Fix. I have watched Coby turn this from a rundown neglected shop to a chill, welcoming destination. I once requested something very specific and Coby personally worked and worked to perfect this drink (ask for the iced au lait) and came up with the idea to mix cinnamon into the milk before it's steamed. There are lots of blender drinks, a small but excellent selection of loose teas (and you can make your own mix). But there's more than coffee. Oatmeal with dried cranberries and nuts, and bagels with lox, are both excellent ways to start the day. The staff is always ultra friendly and welcoming. Yes, that's 5 shots of espresso without the confused Starbucks employee trying to figure out either 1) how to correctly charge you for that as they press keys and then unpress keys on the register or 2) which sugary drink you want 5 shots added to. These people get it. I want 5 shots of espresso. Period. And it's on the menu as that. Not like $3.45 for a "doppio" plus $1.20 per shot extra bringing your total to about $8. And it's just simple good espresso. Not that super acidic hipster trying-to-be-better-than-espresso espresso, that they serve with a shot of seltzer water. This is the best coffee shop in Studio City and dare I say, maybe all of LA. Aside from a quality cup of coffee, this place also has an incredible breakfast. I highly recommend adding lox to your bagel, as I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is also top notch. A few weeks back my roommate and I walked over for breakfast and there was a full on jazz band set up in the corner. It does not get better. The best thing coffee fix, however, is Kobe.
