The toast comes with dried rosemary that was a little heavy handed for my tastes, but he loved it. The latte had honey and lavender in it, a bee's dream. It looked a bit like an egg mcmuffin, but way, way better. It comes with a medium coffee. If you pay cash, they take about 3% off, probably the amount a credit card company charges them. However, even my non-GF friend agrees that the Gypsy Moon Cake macrons are amazing. The cookie part is light, flavorful, and melts in my mouth just the right amount. The filling is rich and creamy, with a terrific flavor that complements the cookie. To be honest, it tastes more like almond than pistachio to me, but I love almond flavor, so that's a wonderful thing. Another bonus is the owner is very friendly and interesting to talk with. She and Gypsy Moon Cake are examples of why I like to support local businesses--these macrons are far better than anything that can be mass produced, and she cares about her product and her customers more than any employees of a chain bakery would. They continued to talk about the extremely cute dog that was is in house rather than try to move customers through. When it was finally my turn I asked about a gift card and the underage girl without looking me in the eye rudely said that I would need to try the Lakewood shop today because they are out of them. It took another 5 min to get out of the building with my $5+ sugar drink. Having said all of that, I proceeded to head over to the Lakewood shop were I was greeted with eye contact and professionalism. In and out in about 3 minutes. Two slightly older adults working the barista area with their heads down not talking to each other. Just knocking out orders! To wrap it up I would highly encourage people to not pay good money at the foot ave location as you will only experience slow non customer service oriented teenagers more concerned with their own current events than pushing customers through. Instead use your hard earned money at the Lakewood location where service and professionalism actually matter as a business model.
