In short, they nailed getting me my caffeine fix! I walked in around 9am on a Sunday morning and was able to walk right up to the counter and order. The young woman who took care of me was very nice, friendly! I ordered a large iced coffee with almond milk (there was an upcharge for adding non-dairy milk). I was happy with the amount of ice to coffee - More coffee than ice, I was a very happy guy! I did see their food menu but had already grabbed (free) breakfast at the hotel I was staying at, but I would love to try one of their sandwiches if, when I'm in Jamestown again. Inside was spacious and clean, with several tables & chairs as well as a long table along the exterior window, perfect for people watching. I noticed a couple tables and chairs outside in front as well. Crown Street Roasting Company is a solid, local coffee shop with young, friendly staff and solid options to get your caffeine fix, as well as an appetizing breakfast food menu.

My favorite thing on the menu is the turkey and bacon sandwich, which comes with lettuce, tomato, and apricot jam on your choice of bagel. It's a perfect balance of sweet and salty and big enough to share if you're looking for a lighter start to your day. On this most recent trip my husband ordered the apricot and feta toast along with the pollinator latte, which I think was a seasonal special. The toast comes with dried rosemary that was a little heavy handed for my tastes, but he loved it. The latte had honey and lavender in it, a bee's dream. Highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

However, even my non-GF friend agrees that the Gypsy Moon Cake macrons are amazing. The cookie part is light, flavorful, and melts in my mouth just the right amount. The filling is rich and creamy, with a terrific flavor that complements the cookie. To be honest, it tastes more like almond than pistachio to me, but I love almond flavor, so that's a wonderful thing. Another bonus is the owner is very friendly and interesting to talk with. She and Gypsy Moon Cake are examples of why I like to support local businesses--these macrons are far better than anything that can be mass produced, and she cares about her product and her customers more than any employees of a chain bakery would. Fortunately, we bought other macrons too, so we'll have more tomorrow. Unfortunately I live out of town, so I can only get the macrons when I visit my friend near Jamestown. I'll definitely get some whenever I'm in town--and maybe get extras to take home with me.

Customer service levels and staff awareness as it relates to patron needs is super undesirable…read more I should have posted this review before as I have had the same service experience over numerous encounters. I find that the all under 18 staff is consumed with talking amongst themselves rather than trying to pump out an ever growing line of patrons. Today all I needed was a gift card and a sugar drink for my son. There was only 1 person ahead of with 4 very young teenagers working the counter. They continued to talk about the extremely cute dog that was is in house rather than try to move customers through. When it was finally my turn I asked about a gift card and the underage girl without looking me in the eye rudely said that I would need to try the Lakewood shop today because they are out of them. It took another 5 min to get out of the building with my $5+ sugar drink. Having said all of that, I proceeded to head over to the Lakewood shop were I was greeted with eye contact and professionalism. In and out in about 3 minutes. Two slightly older adults working the barista area with their heads down not talking to each other. Just knocking out orders! To wrap it up I would highly encourage people to not pay good money at the foot ave location as you will only experience slow non customer service oriented teenagers more concerned with their own current events than pushing customers through. Instead use your hard earned money at the Lakewood location where service and professionalism actually matter as a business model. For the owners: I'm not looking for any handouts or comps so please don't reply to me directly- I would just ask that you deal with the problems you have at your first location (I am flabbergasted that you made enough money there to open another establishment ) It just sucks, a horrible experience for the high cost and I will never give you another dime at the Foote ave. Location.

This location consistently gets my order wrong and today is the last day I will give my business to this incompetent excuse of the Starbucks brand. I'll go across the street to the Starbucks kiosk in Target from now on. Oh and I won't miss the undersized parking lot and sh*t show the ever present drive-thru traffic jam causes. Good riddance.
