The service was friendly, the ice cream was good, and the servings are huge. The "small" is actually large, the "medium" is larger still, and the "large" should really be named, "can you seriously eat all of that before it melts?" There are tables with umbrellas for shade, and the day we went, it was hot enough that you really wanted to be in the shade. (The umbrellas couldn't really shade all of the tables and seats, and could have been four time as big as they were, but then they probably would blow away any time there's a strong wind.) After a good day at Bemus Point and riding the ferry, this place was a nearly perfect finishing touch.

That really helped since we visited a warm, cloudless day after going on the Stow Ferry. They had steady customers for a Friday afternoon. Service seemed quicker this time and was impressive, perhaps three people working in the back. Keep it up, we'll be back again later this summer

I honestly think our last experience was just a fluke or off night for the wait staff and kitchen. This time everything we ordered was accurate and well seasoned. Our waitress was super fast and friendly. Our food was delicious in every single way. We loved the shrimp scampi, the salad was crisp, and the loaded jalapeño potato bites with white cheddar and tender juicy pulled pork were absolutely mouth watering. Our in house made desserts were out of this world, especially the addictive coconut cream! The owner came over and served us our desserts, she was such a nice lady. She's also a very talented cook because she makes the pulled pork and desserts herself. I highly recommend! We'll be back!

Today we arrived and we're greeted by Mindy. I was cautiously optimistic, but right off the bat things we're looking promising. She seated us in our favorite area and advised us on the menu and specials. We ordered drinks and Shrimp Cocktail and Lobster Bisque app. The drinks, ambience, appetizers and company were all perfect. Then we ordered the mains. We had the Seafood Medley with asparagus and broiled Cajun haddock with broccoli. Both arrived in good time, cooked perfectly. We were given good portions, not skimpy like some places. We don't often get dessert, but when Mindy told us they were made in-house and the coconut pie was gluten free, we had to. I ordered the peanut butter pie. Both were a perfect ending to a wonderful experience. I don't often review, but I had to this time because it was so good. I also don't believe in 5-star reviews but I can't think of anything that was wrong. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

The menu listed it as..."Tortilla Chips smothered with a five cheese sauce, shredded steak, green peppers, and onions." What we received was a small pile of tortilla chips, some globs of pale orange sauce, what appeared to be a small flat grilled burger broken into pieces, smothered in "raw" dice green peppers and onions. I should have taken a photo. It is Bemus Point so we don't mind paying a little extra but this was Hilarious! We were asked what we thought because this was a new menu item this year. I politely explained our disappointment to our wonderful waitress. We were asked again by the manager what we thought about this item. I explained again, anyone who has had Philly Nachos anywhere else would expect the peppers onions to be cooked/grilled and blended with the shredded steak and cheese. Google it. Clearly the chef had done little research. The manager tried to explain the shredded steak looked like a broken up burger because they cook didn't thaw it out enough before grilling. They took it off our bill, even though I insisted they shouldn't. I told them we planned to suffer through it because we were hungry, and were not going to order another surprise. On the plus side, the ambience was great out on the deck by the lake. The beers were refreshingly cold. Too bad our food was weird. We tipped our waitress very, very well. I hope they fix or 86 the Philly Nachos for everyone else's sake. We won't be eating here again. Drinks only.
