Lillian's Place reminded me a lot of the ice cream shop I used to work at growing up. Very local / family vibe. They have a lot of your basics such as soft serve, hand-dipped ice cream, and milkshakes, but also have creative additions to the menu like seasonal sundaes. The menu is huge! I went for a chocolate-vanilla twist milkshake and it really hit the spot. It was super smooth & creamy without being too sweet. They also accommodated my request of no syrup in the shake. Next time we are visiting our friend in this area, I definitely want to stop by again!

The staff working were plenty friendly and efficient. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I ordered a Red Velvet Chip Cookie. The cookie was big and delicious! It was soft and chewy and packed with chocolate chunks and cream cheese chips. There was a nice variety of treats they had in their trailer - I wish I had a bigger appetite! But, if you see a U-Take the Cake food truck, go and take a look and give one of their cookies a try, at the very least!

I've eaten a lot of fancy ice cream so I will designate myself an authority. The space is open, airy, laid back and a little punk rock. Family friendly with the Buzz Cocks playing in the backround. There's an 80's feel about it all in just the right way. The proprietor makes the ice cream himself with fresh cream every Tuesday. It's sooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooood!!!!! NOT OVERLY SWEET. For example I find Perry's cloyingly sweet. Too much for me. Sprinkle Cone hits it just right. I went with my brother and his two teenage kids. Everyone was unexpectedly blown away. My mother-in-law went to place her order, and my father-in-law simply tried to help clarify it. The women working the counter was unbelievably and inappropriately rude to him. She spoke to him as if he were a child interrupting her. I was shocked, and at first thought she was joking. The five of us left without ice cream. Such a shame. I understand you're busy serving many families, but under no circumstances should staff be rude to customers. I'll also note this wasn't one of the young kids working. It was an adult who should have known better. I'd recommend going to the Bemus Point market instead, where the owner is always warm and welcoming to customers, as is the rest of the staff.
