Full Moon Rising Review Am I dead? Is this heaven? Had a vegetarian wrap which -- to my surprise -- came with Utz chips, a mini soda (adorbs), and... get this... A CUPCAKE! Obsessed. Was visiting for a concert my husband was performing in at the theatre and popped in during his rehearsal time. Amazing. Simply grilled and dressed veggie wrap... delish cupcake and want to bring home a raspberry scone, VEGAN edible cookie dough oh and throw in a cookie sandwich, why not. The owner is an artist and what's really cool is that I got to talk to her (can't do that at Tim Hortons!). Such a quaint little bakery and extremely impressive quality and atmosphere to sit and relax, meditate and read all the while Boy Meets World marathon playing in the not-so-distant prep area. In love. Definitely will recommend to anyone traveling to Jamestown. read more

I really HATE DOING THIS. I've been here a zillion times and loved them, but something was always a little off and now the train is off the tracks. The last few cupcakes and cookies were absolute garbage. I pretty much lit money on fire and threw it away. I was okay with them being really over priced when the product was better. Very bland crumbly cupcakes that taste old lately. I recently got a cookie that was literally hard and had to be days old. It was never super inviting. The women in the back were never really friendly and sometimes never even acknowledged you were in there. I chalked it up to them being busy decorating under a deadline or something and shrugged it off. The male cashier guy was always decent. Last time I was there the lady treated me like it was a big pain and bother to put 2 premade cupcakes in a box and take my money. It's a tense weird atmosphere to walk into. No thank you. read more

Stopped and lucked out two scones and a muffin. While checking out I commented to the cashier that if we had arrived earlier we would have been able to get a " cinnamon roll". She replied " oh we haven't baked them yet ". THAT should have been a give away - we purchased day old stuff!! They products were not fresh and crumbly . It's a shame it looked like a cool place. read more

Full Moon Rising is my favorite locally owned bakery in the area. Andrea is very accommodating and has made a variety of items for me including cupcakes, custom Sugar Cookies (for work and for home), and pretzels. The bakery has moved a couple times to better locations and finally has a permanent home in downtown Jamestown. The prices are great and the work is outstanding... sometimes it's hard to eat the stuff because it looks like a mini work of art. I highly recommend the chocolate peanut butter cupcakes and s'mores cupcakes. This is a great RELIABLE bakery and a welcome addition to downtown Jamestown. read more

I had the most amazing experience working with the ladies of Full Moon Rising! I ordered a custom cake and 2 dozen custom cookies for my graduation party and we were blown away with what they created for us. I submitted a couple reference photos and everything came out better than the pictures. But not only did everything look beautiful, the taste was even better! I had wanted to save a couple cookies to take home but everyone ate them so fast I didn't get the chance! The cake was almost too pretty to cut however, once we did we could not stop eating it. I got a vanilla cake with berry filling and it was all exceptional. Could not recommend enough! read more

This place is literally the happiest place on earth. I was in Jamestown last night to see John Mulaney and a friend brought me here. I'm so glad she did. We had frosting shots. It's small cups of sweet frosting--in case you don't want the cake part of the cupcake--I usually never do! My frosting shot was buttercream with cute sprinkles. My friend had a Reese's pieces one with chocolate sauce on it. I also bought sprinkled pretzel rods and stickers (to put on my car to advertise their business.) They have SUCH cool decor in there, such as a Led Zeppelin poster, containers of sprinkles, and cute Lucy cookies and decor for purchase. They had t shirts for sale, one said Every Day We Wake and Bake. The other said Glazed & Confused, a spin off of the Dazed & Confused Led Zeppelin song!!! They didn't have an XL so the awesome employee told me to check their stand at the Lucy block party. They had my size there. If I'm ever in Jamestown again, this will DEFINITELY be one of my spots to hit up!!! read more

Wonderful & delicious cupcakes. Love that they have gluten free options. However, for private orders, the bakery charges by who you are. One person may be charged $25/dozen while another $18/dozen of the same flavor. Customer service is not their strong suit. read more

Very disappointed with the cake I ordered for an engagement celebration. I sent the bakery photos of exact cake I wanted from their website. It was a simple white frosting with white flowers. My friend picked it up and brought to Erie PA for the celebration and the cake was BRIGHT purple??? When I contacted Full Moon the next day she simply said, "oh sorry, I forgot to tell you when you order raspberry filling the frosting color is automatically PURPLE!!" WTF?? That is a huge bit of information to leave out. Not to mention the sticker shock of $75.00!!! The owner offered no money back or credit etc. Definitely sticking with Eckloffs white cake with raspberry filling. Such a shame because I had been waiting for a chance to try this fun bakery but never again. read more

There were several cupcake flavors available as well as cookies, cakes and a peanut butter pie.
