7/28/24 After watching a movie with friends one of the want to get coffee and then I brought them here. I remember very clearly the ice cubes they use is not normal it's infuse with coffee which are very smart because this keeps the coffee flavor strong and not diluted. Inside are clean and customer service are nice and curtsy when my friends was asking what are the recommendations. Two of us got Ice strawberry lattes, peanut butter lattes, and ice cold brew. I was debating between the Spanish latte and strawberry latte, but thanks to the recommendation of the barista, we decided on the strawberry latte! I also wanted to opt for a drink that doesn't have condensed milk in it. I loved the potency of the strawberry flavor with the blend of the espresso! I feel like fruit flavors can be muted or in a thick syrup form but it tasted natural and was smoothly integrated into the drink ~ I was pleasantly surprised. The ice cubes were also made of frozen coffee so the drink wasn't diluted over time! Such a clever idea :) The cafe has a simple interior which is great for catching up in small groups or for studying. There were also lots of tables outside with people chatting. Years ago... I think I had been to the Coffee Code in Buena Park once but have not been to the Fullerton location until this past weekend. After we finished lunch, we Yelped to find coffee places nearby and Coffee Code drew our attention. For a very rainy, Saturday afternoon, Coffee Code was full of people studying and other patrons. There were only about 4 tables on the inside (seating 2), a counter bar with 4 high back stools, and a few tables outside. Coffee Code has a modern and light interior. Pourover Nicaragua For Pourovers, one can choose from any beans on their shelf, which was quite a selection! Overall, great tasting and quality coffee and will consider stopping by again when I am in the area. I finally got to try out Coffee Code! This is a cute hidden spot. For a Friday afternoon, it seemed like all of the seats were taken inside and outside! Which I suppose makes sense, since it's quite the small place. My friend and I walked in and the person helping us was very kind! I, at first, didn't see a menu on the wall, but then saw the menu was at the front register area. I looked through it and it seemed like they had a lot of options. They also use Monin syrups, which we love! I got an iced matcha latte with almond milk (7.25) and my friend got an iced strawberry latte with oat milk (7.25). Including tip, this was pricey coffee run. ($17.11...oof). Milk substitutions being 1.25 HURTS for us lactose intolerant folks. Even then, my favorite coffee spot with milk inclusion is only 6.25, so this was a whole dollar more. That's really my only "gripe." The drinks came out quite quick and my friend said her iced latte has coffee ice cubes, which was actually really cool! I also enjoyed my matcha--perfectly sweet. When the coffee was ready, the staff seemed to whisper to each other as if something was off, but they still served the coffee. Even after serving, they continued to talk amongst themselves as if something was wrong. When I left the store and tasted the coffee, both cups tasted the same, even though I ordered different beans. The moment that I walk in I hear Lo-Fi music and a quite environment (maybe a little too quite haha) This place has some interesting drink options such as Iced Latte with a Peanut Soft Top and a Spanish Latte which is made with sweetened condensed milk. Of course I stocked with my normal dirty chai with oat milk with an almond croissant. One thing I love about this coffee shop is that they use COFFEE ICE CUBES!!! This way your coffee doesn't get watery. The iced dirty chai tasted amazing. In addition the almond croissant taste good as well. I came in today after a long 2 month hiatus and was asked if I was part of the rewards program. The barista informed me they just started it about two days ago so don't forget to enter in your phone number to sign up. For every 50 points you get $5 off your purchase. It's $1 per point. As a student I really appreciate any type of rewards programs for places I frequent. They have a good amount of tables outside now and I think they even updated it to white.
