I prefer this place over any coffee place in LA like stumptown, g&b, blacktop, etc etc u know any coffee spot placed into a gentrified part of Los Angeles where you don't feel cool enough to be there. Vanilla latte is bomb . Drip coffee as well. I overall prefer the atmosphere of this place since it's quiet and people aren't here to lounge around for hours whilst selling the place short of ordering 1 drink during the time. If you're looking to run into your old hs classmates and millions of old korean women discussing their sunday church activies and kid's futures go to Stereoscope. This place can get crowded too, but i find it more as a place to either get your coffee to go or sit for a bit and leave. I wouldn't sit and study here for hours (not many outlets anyways). WARNING: If you are a Starbucks, Coffee Bean, or Tierra Mia fan; this place is NOT for you! The baristas here are friendly and show great passion when they brew coffee. They put effort into each thing they make and their effort is reflected in their amazing lattes and pour overs. I have been to many coffee shops like Go Get Em Tiger, G&B, and Portola to name a few, and I have to say that Coffee Code has the best executed latte art I have ever seen. My favorite thing here is their Ethiopian pour over which they make on the Hario V60. It is smooth and not acidic or bitter. I normally sweeten my coffee lightly but sweetening my pour over coffee from here was not necessary since it was very subtle and smooth. Pretty straightforward and somewhat basic coffee joint. Basic in the way of drink size options being very limited and also variety of drinks on offer being not so extensive. It's rather small and therefore not great for groups. Also, not the greatest place to work on a laptop because there are only two outlets available and both are near the restroom. Impressive It is indeed a coffee bar. very few tables, not a place to come and study but I like that. I visited several times and tried various drinks. During quick pick ups, I had americano togo and both iced and hot was solid. When I'm meeting friends here, I always get pour over-It's a treat! As a coffee lover (and not the Starbucks kind) I have to really wonder, what's the big fuss? Most people post pictures of their eiskaffe, so I walked here, yes walked, to try it. So $5 plus change later for a coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, I was like what?!?!? I was expecting to be blown away with flavors, but nope. I'm not gonna lie, the only reason why I came here was because I saw that two of their baristas had won 1st and 3rd place nationals. The expectations were high. I love the Coffee Code in Buena Park, but what I've always disliked about that location was how cramped and loud it was. It was never really a place to sit down and relax with a cup of joe in hand. NOTE: this location does have shorter hours compared to their other location in Buena Park. I think they close by six pm! However, this new location is just that. Cozy and quiet. Plus there's more! The interior is really clean and modern, plus, it's very bright because there's lots of windows. I did notice that they don't have much seating which kind of sucks, but hopefully they change that if this location gets more popular? Hopefully. NOTE: Like many others have said, this place does not have electrical outlets!! So it's a good place to read a book or you can study with a fully charged laptop. The workers are very friendly! They greet you right when you enter. I was helped by this cashier named Aira and she was so attentive! The other barista, who I don't know the name of, was friendly as well. And what can I say about their vanilla latte that I ordered? So. Darn. Delicious. The milk is frothed perfectly. The espresso was rich and creamy. The drink as a whole was a perfect temperature for me which is perfect because I tend to burn my tongue a lot when I drink coffee. Overall, I'm really excited to go back here! I had a different opinion about their caramel latte than some others. I wasn't too much of a fan right off the bat. Yes, it was creamy, but there was an odd after taste that you experience when you put too much sugar and unbalanced amount of cream in your coffee. Perhaps one too many pump of caramel? It was cool that the ice was made of coffee, so it definitely lasted longer. I also had their Nutella croissant. Crispy on the outside and warm and gooey on the inside. This coffee shop is in a really random area. It is a decent size (4 inside tables and 4 seats at the coffee bar, 5 outside patio tables). The vibe is modern and the workers are extremely friendly. I was tempted to order a hot drink to see the latte art, but it was a warm day so I had a pour over. I am by no means a coffee connoisseur but it tasted better than what my bf's Keurig makes. The drink prices are maybe slightly higher than Starbucks, but I feel worth the splurge. I think this would be a cute date spot (cold night, warm drinks on the patio) or a good place to study. The barista was nice. It was my first time there and she recommended the caramel latte. Definitely one of the best caramel lattes I've tried by far (I am a coffee fanatic and have had many lattes in my lifetime). The inside is very clean and modern. Compared to the other coffee places around here this is by far my favorite place now. The workers are so friendly and nice when I place my order. I love how they use coffee ice cubes! I absolutely LOVE this coffee shop! It's a small place in fullerton that can easily be overlooked, so had I not moved to the area, I never would have known about its existence. But i'm so glad I did. The interior is clean and aesthetically pleasing in addition to being a cute place to get a coffee. They have a wide assortment of both teas and coffee, and they're all so delicious. I've tried almost every drink they have and they're all amazing. One of the things I like most about this place is how they freeze coffee and use them as ice cubes in their iced coffees to keep them from diluting. I was disappointed with the service in that I asked for 'here' and was given my latte 'to go'. After a while, I reached for the latte that I thought was mine. It looked really good. A guy came up to the bar and said that he thought that that one was his. The barista said that it was. Okay, I though, no problem. The next thing that was put on the counter (which was mine) was a pathetic looking to go order with a very simple and very small basic latte art. It tasted okay, but I've much better. I wish I had some right now :[ Ambiance - Solo person who wants to plug in earphones and maybe do about an hour or so of work while drinking coffee or couple of friends who wants to gossip over coffee and tea. I have never stayed here to enjoy my coffee, but the above mentioned are the two groups of people I typically see here when I stop by with coworkers after lunch. Drinks - This is totally going to give me away! I will always order the iced coffee with cream and sugar and coffee ice cubes *note that the coffee they use to make the ice cubes is different than the coffee they use for the drink. I usually try to venture out and try new things, but I tried this once and have been hooked ever since. Only drink I will get from here. So good that I even got a few of my coworker's hooked on it too. The drink is so harmoniously balanced between the creamy, the sweet, and the caffeine. Best part is, the more you drink, the stronger it'll get since the coffee cubes are melting and making the drink stronger; but since it's so gradual, you won't notice the change. Caffeine - I don't know what kind of beans they're using, but their coffee packs a punch! Great for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up when you're dreading going back to work. Just the thing you need to keep you going and going and going and going..... Consistancy - This is where I had to take 1 star off. I usually will exclusivly go during lunch time Mon-Fri (very very occasionally on weekends) and have noticed 4 people who work there. This drink has been made by 3 of the 4 people I have seen. Of those 3, I want to say one of them might be new? When he makes the drink, it doesn't taste like the others... Sometimes it's too sweet or too creamy or not sweet/creamy enough. Over the past several months it has been getting better, but I still remember this one time he made my drink 3 times.... First try he forgot the coffee ice cubes (it's fine, I know my order isn't normal). Second try he poured the drink he already made into a new cup with coffee ice cubes, but the sugar didn't transfer (tried to just suck it up and drink it, but it was too bitter). Third time was a little too creamy, but it's ok - still delicious. My coworker has also noted the inconsistancy in his drinks (usually an iced white chocolate) when this individual creates it. Overall, he'sbeen getting much much better! Knowledge - They really know what they're doing. I still remember the first time I ever came to this location. It had been about a month of starting my new job, I've been working extremely long hours and not getting enough sleep. I had tried every remotely decently reviewed coffee place near my work (3 Starbucks, Coffee Bean, and various mom and pop places) all to end up down the sink. So, I started looking for places on my commute to work. All the highly rated coffee joints I tried near work all had this sour taste to their coffee's (I would always ask for the barista's recommendation when not going to Starbucks or Coffee Bean). Tired and cranky, I just wanted to find a decent cup of coffee. One morning I come in with some of the worst panda eyes I've ever had and give the guy the same spiel, "What can you recommond that is really super strong and sweet, but dondoesn't have that sour taste." Most people looked at me like I was crazy "Sour taste? What sour taste?" but then this guy wasn't normal. He recommended I get their iced coffee with cream and sugar and while making the drink explained that most people actually look for the hint of the sour (acidity); that when people compete coffee beans they are creating beans that can achieve the perfect trifecta of acidity and 2 other things. I wish I had paid more attention that day so I can remember exactly what he said, but I was a bit tired. On a few other occasions, different employees have educated me about coffee and tea in general and so much of what they say makes sense. Bottom line - I'l keep coming back for that great cup of coffee. Not going to lie, I'll even make a detour to this place if I need to go to the Fullerton/Buena Park area! read more

This is my favorite coffee boutique in the OC. Kean pales in comparison. I've tasted many gourmet lattes that are rich and smooth, but Coffee Code's latte just has that "wow" taste factor that literally brings a smile to my face. Ironically, despite the fact that the beans are from Klatch, Coffee Code actually makes the drinks way better than the actual Klatch locations. The minimally hipster and modern facility is surprisingly balanced by some genuinely friendly employees. None of that pretentious or nonchalant air of disregard here, as the ambience is chill and inviting here. The lattes embody the perfect amount of sweetness, richly bold and creamy smooth taste, and the added bonus of espresso ice cubes. The espresso ice cubes are ingenious, as they won't dilute the drink as much. As a coffee addict, drinking Coffee Code makes my day just a little brighter. read more

Review of the TEA, not the coffee! I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I got the herbal blood orange tea, which had hints of orange flavoring in it. As a tea, it's aromatic and fresh, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way for it. It wasn't as refreshing as I expected, but it was certainly a light-flavored drink. Located in a quiet plaza, I really hope this coffee shop thrives. I got a Dutch cold brew which is left to age for 3 days prior to serving. Great aromas and flavor! My buddy, who's not a coffee drinker, thoroughly enjoyed his iced latte with espresso infused ice cubes! No more watered down iced lattes! Plenty of parking, very clean inside, excellent service, and good music. If you're spending $4 on coffee at Starbucks, come get better quality service and coffee here instead! Space is a bit small, not too much seating, and wouldn't consider it warm and cozy atmosphere, so meeting and lounging isn't quite feasible. read more

I had such high hopes for this coffee shop. After some back and forth with their menu, I settled on the cold brew with anew ice cream scoop on the side. My lovely companion ordered the raspberry lavender iced tea. The good: Iced tea has a delicate, somewhat tart flavor. And their ice cream is inexpensive at 75 cents a scoop. The bad: I wasn't drawn towards ordering cold brew (I'm more of snow Iced Americano kind of guy). The cold brew is one of the least pleasant I've had the displeasure of tasting. Excessively acidic with a roasted nut finish. I asked if I had possibly gotten a bad batch and was told this was what it was supposed to taste like then asked if I wanted to cover it up with cream. Regardless of my intent to float the ice cream in the cold brew, a good cold brew stands alone sans sweeteners or cream. Side note: offering simple syrup is a really nice touch, but making it in a 2:1 ratio is as effective in cold drinks as sugar granules. 1:1 ratio is much more effective. Also: No refunds, returns, or exchanges. What kind of policy is this for a beverage establishment? read more

Our first time here and its a winner. My husband ordered a hot hazelnut latte and I ordered a ice decaf iced latte. They use ice cube coffee. The girl that took our order was very nice and the man making the coffee made us feel welcomed. They used Klatch coffee which is local and in Upland. read more
