I found this place awhile ago, a woman in my town makes amazing homemade cheesecakes and recently started selling them here. Checked out the shop on Yelp and the food also looked very delicious and was on a mission to try this place out the next time I was in Hackensack. I would consider this place a gourmet Italian coffee shop. Sounds weird but it is just beyond amazing. They have pasta there for sale that I believe is imported from Italy which I decided to take home a bag for myself. They also have Italian beverages and jars of marinated vegetables they sell. I tried it out for the first time yesterday, I went in wanting this pasta and the owner was working, he told me he only does pasta specials on Wednesday but offered to whip me up something if that's what I wanted which I thought was really nice of him to offer! I didn't want him to go through all that just for one dish so I decided to try the chicken Parmesan and my husband ordered a chicken cutlet. The bread was SO FRESH and the sauce was made to perfection, I was amazed at every bite I took. I also tried my husbands chicken cutlet and it was also outstanding. We finished our meals and then decided to have some of that homemade cheesecake (which I already knew would be delicious) and some coffee. The owner was very genuine and kind and we enjoyed talking to him. Great service great food. Easily 5 star worthy and I already can not wait to return.

Such a warm friendly atmosphere

A great find 2 blocks from the NJ Courts in Hackensack. If you have jury duty (like I did) or simply in the area this is a great place to visit. I had the roasted eggplant panini and it was large and superb. They roast eggplant with a crushed garlic and some fine oil, and layer it with tomatoes and mozzarella. I enjoyed their espresso while I caught up on work in a friendly quiet environment. It's obvious the owner (show in photo) puts in his all!

I was around the area and wanted to take a coffee break and found this place through Yelp. They have street parking. Once I entered in, it had a really chill and welcoming vibe. Was gonna just get a regular coffee but ended up getting the iced mochaccino. It was delish. Place is fairly priced. If your around the area and need a coffee break, this is def the spot.

I asked surprise me with something healthy no carbs. I got this crazy good meal!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this amazing place. What a find!!! A little coffee and food cafe run by a very passionate guy of Italian decent. The food is ALL fresh and done well. Nothing outrageous or fous fous. Simple and tasty fresh food like you'd expect from an Italian farmhouse kitchen of an old fabulous grandma. I said I didn't want to eat heavy or big so surprise me with a grilled chicken and salad something. I got the most wonderfully seasoned fresh grilled chicken breast. The salad was ridiculously fresh mixed greens with marinated mixed mushrooms, marinated grilled onions and sundried tomatoes. The vinaigrette was homemade from the tastiest vinegar. I don't know what kind of vinegar it was but it had a fruity mild tang without the rough bitterness of your typical vinaigrette. To be honest it tasted like my dad's homemade sherry vinaigrette that rocks and I haven't had in years. The grilled veggie sandwich was delicious on the freshest tastiest focaccia. And that ziti and braciole. Do you see that braciole? If that doesn't look like an authentic Sunday gravy braciole then you didn't grow up in an Italian house like I did. The sauce was bright and tomatoey. But that's just the food. There is a very extensive coffee menu and while we didn't have any, no doubt it is amazing too. The vibe is fantastic. They have a friendly little seating area with seats and a sofa as well as table seating. I could go to this place to sit and eat and hang out every day! And I didn't even get to the food he sells. Jars of marinated veggies and a whole host of speciality flavored panettones for Christmas. Yes I stocked up. This is a new favorite. Go. Trust me.

Tiramisu and Double Espresso

Hidden gem in Hackensack - lovely Italian coffee shop that serves strong, aromatic espresso, not the watery stuff you would get elsewhere. The owners are very amicable and true to their craft. The tiramisu was okay but perhaps i will try a different dessert next time. I look forward to visiting again. There's plenty of seating to converse with friends or settle down with a laptop.

I loved this cute coffee shop. There is fast wifi, plenty of seating, and great food and drink! I tried the Caprese Salad which was very fresh and tasty! The latte was also very strong and well made. It definitely tasted like the coffees I've had in Italy. The service is very relaxed and low key. I felt very welcomed and comfortable.

I order a coffee drink. I want to try something different which is Nutellino. This drink has a mixture of Nutella, whip cream, and espresso. This place is a good spot where you can grab a coffee and study spot for college people to come by.

Breakfast Panini

Friendly service, great coffee and breakfast panini. Panini was much bigger than I expected and so good. I like the fact that most casual places like this would probably serve the coffee in a paper cup but here it was in a real mug. Nice. I couldn't resist the orange Nutella crepe! So good!

If you're looking to support a small business coffee shop, Coffee Break needs to be your top choice. This little cafe has quite the ambience and should be your next go-to morning spot. I got the Bacio which was very tasty and perfect for your Instagram feed. The Egg Frittata with bacon and cheese was also freshly made and a nice food option to go with my coffee. Definitely recommend if you're in the Hackensack area.

Stopped by for a coffee break with my good friend, Jabriel J. It's an Italian coffee shop, with cute artsy decor and seating. Unfortunately, they close pretty early. The guy running the place seemed pretty unenthusiastic on a Wednesday afternoon, but he wasn't a dick either. They have free Wi-Fi, and a pretty limited food menu. I can imagine this would be a good spot to study or do work if they would stay open past 5:30pm. I got their Nutellino, which was basically a cup of espresso, lined with Nutella, topped with whipped cream. It was a decent drink. I like the spot

Great little coffee shop. Better product at a better price than the big coffee chains. Gelato and house made iced cappuccino are excellent.

The capellini is a blend of primarily angel hair and sweet sausage. Simply add a touch of parmesan cheese and you'll be in heaven. I usually eat cheese filled ravioli with marinara sauce, but the chef put an excellent twist to this dish! The food preparer has given a new meaning to ravioli by altering the filling and the sauce making it tastier. On a slightly constructive note, I enjoyed the tartufo but it's basically a pricey version of a Klondike bar with a cherry in the middle. However, their cakes are out of this world. The tres leches and chocolate mousse has the perfect amount of sugar and consistency. Sweets like these are the reason why there are two "s" in dessert; you'll always crave seconds! From appetizer to dessert, you'll dine like a king in a suburban palace. Be sure to go the full distance with a three course meal! #italianrestaurant #njfoodie #ravioli #calamari

BV Tuscany 368 Cedar Lane…read moreTeaneck, NJ 07666 The cutlet and pasta were very tasty. The size of the cutlet did not disappoint. The red sauce and shredded parmesan cheese went well with the main and the side. The chicken parmesan is served with mixed vegetables. Substituting the veggies is not allowed, so I ordered a side of pasta for an upcharge. Although I enjoyed this meal, the minor drawback is the substitution policy. In my personal opinion, I feel that pasta is the ideal side dish for any CP entree. Vegetables should not the side dish unless I'm ordering chicken marsala or chicken francese. Otherwise, I was still satisfied with the food, service and overall ambiance of the restaurant.

The menu isn't massive, but they cover every category with extreme precision and do it really well. Seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, and all the classic appetizers you can think of from stuffed artichokes, zucchini blossoms, and house-made burrata. The ambiance is old-school Italian in the best way: timeless, romantic, and cozy. It works just as well for an intimate date night as it does for a small group dinner. Bonus points for being BYOB. We ordered the veal marsala and the seafood pomodoro. The veal was pounded to perfection and swimming in a ridiculously addictive sauce. The seafood pasta was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh shrimp, clams, and mussels and you can taste the quality and care put in the food. Meals are served with a salad to start, and you can expect to spend around $35 per entrée, which feels more than fair for the quality. We were genuinely impressed and were treated with a lot of attention throughout the meal. The concept of the restaurant being run by two italian twins was honestly so sweet. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic Italian done right without trekking into the city.

We went on a Wednesday night around 7PM and while there were a good amount of people dining we were able to get a table right away. We ordered the burrata to start and it was delicious. It was served over oranges and with walnuts which seemed like odd pairings to me but it just worked. I love burrata. It's always pricey, but I'm a sucker for it and will likely order it every time. We got the skirt steak, octopus, Pizza al Tartufo, and Diavolina pizza. Everything was fantastic. The skirt steak was cooked medium rare as ordered and it was served with some greens. It wasn't mind-blowing, just a good skirt steak. I would probably skip this on a return visit so that I could eat more pizza. The octopus was cooked perfectly as well. It wasn't tough and chewy and it had a nice char to it. It was a pretty large tentacle served with an arugula salad. The salad had a citrusy dressing on it which was refreshing. I really enjoyed the pizzas. We went with a white and a red pizza. THe white pizza was topped with fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and black truffle oil. Everything went well together and the truffle flavor wasn't overpowering as it sometimes can be. The red pizza had hot sopressata, fresh mozzarella, and grana padano. The sopressata was actually a little spicy which was different from the white pizza. Both pizzas had a great crust with just the right amount of char. It was firm enough to hold up the sauces and toppings but had enough give in it so that it didn't have the texture of cardboard. Service was friendly. The place had a nice cozy feel to it. It's pricey but I'd definitely come back.

The pasta was very creamy and enjoyed the flavor. He had to call over another worker to double check and we had to ask once again if we were able to get it redone to our liking before even getting it replaced right away. The second porterhouse we received was done correctly and was seasoned well and had enough fat to make it buttery and melty. Espresso Martini was made well and for Whiskey Sours, if you like them on the smokier side, I would recommend it. All in all, we enjoyed all the food but the only set back for us was that we had to wait a little longer for our steak which we wanted to pair with our pasta. We arrived right when they opened (perfect timing, especially with a snowstorm expected later that day), so the restaurant was still quiet. The space has a modern, upscale vibe that definitely feels suited for special occasions. It's located on a busy street, and while they do offer valet, we lucked out with free street parking since it was early. They offer a prix fixe brunch for $39 per person, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. It's a good way to experience the restaurant without committing to a full dinner price point--but be aware that quite a few items come with upcharges, and drinks are not included, so the bill can climb quickly. I do have a gluten allergy, and I was honestly surprised by how limited the gluten-free options were for a restaurant of this caliber. That said, I made it work: I started with a Bellini, had the sizzling slab of bacon as my appetizer, the recovery burger (no bun sub roasted potatoes as a side) as my main, and finished with the salted caramel gelato. Everything I had was enjoyable, but I would have appreciated more flexibility in the menu. The rest of the group (no dietary restrictions) had more variety to choose from and really enjoyed their meals, which is always a good sign. Service was attentive without being overbearing--likely helped by the fact that it wasn't too crowded yet--so we were able to relax and actually enjoy conversation, which made the celebration feel special. The restaurant also has a private back room that looks great for parties, plus a downstairs lounge area, which adds to its appeal as an event space. Overall, for me it's definitely more of a special occasion spot, and while the pricing is on the higher side for what you get, brunch feels like the best way to experience it. I'd come back again--but probably stick to brunch.
