Coffee Angel is probably my favourite chain of coffee shops in Dublin, so I was happy to see that they opened another branch on Trinity street, which is on the same street as Keogh's on the way to the post office and H&M near Trinity College. This branch is actually a standing bar in that there are surprisingly no seats, but you can still order to "stand-in", where it coffee will still be nicely served in cool grey cups which match their signature grey themed interior.
The cafe is not too spacious and seems to be more suited for a take away, but the coffee is indeed excellent as always; low in volume but strong in flavour with a nice aroma for a real kick! It's priced pretty much the same as most other coffee shops as well (Regular size Americano was €2.50). Almond milk is also available as a non-dairy option, but not soya milk. They don't have any savoury foods like soups or sandwiches like some of the other branches, but they do have a small selection of baked goods and chocolate bars. Coffee beans and filters are also available here to buy.
The staff were nice and friendly, and I went at around 3pm on a weekday so it was quite empty. With many chain cafes opening new branches everywhere, I can see the boom is coming back to Ireland!
In terms of negative points, the only main thing was the lack of seating as I'm not a huge fan of standing bar style places. But for a good take away coffee in a convenient location, I couldn't recommend it more. Also, they are only open on weekdays from 7:30 to 16:00 and closed on weekends.
Overall: Quick and great tasting coffee on the go!
