good place to sit and do work but definitely small! but my pastry and coffee were good i'd get again

    Matcha latte and almond croissant.

The matcha latte was perfect, just the right amount of sweetness and they do non dairy milk. The almond croissant was also amazing. Great customer service and cute interior.

The best coffee of our trip to Ireland/Italy!! Prepared super quick, and also one of the better prices we saw in Dublin.

Stopped in for a cup of inspiration and got it! Bright and cheerful place with a warm and charming crew. If you like baked goods, they have plenty of items to pick from. There was quite a line when we ordered, but it moved quickly. They also grind and sell their coffee by the bag! It's a great place to relax and re-energize!

A tiny little place, probably better for coffee to go rather than sitting in. There are a few seats squeezed in on the ground floor and a few tables upstairs but it's always full and tedious business bringing your coffee up the narrow stairs. The staff are very nice, service is quick, and there are a few sweet treats to enjoy with your coffee. I had a decaff latte here and found it to be bleh. This review probably won't be useful for most people because decaff is basically blasphemy, but just in case I will say it because other decaff drinkers know it's rare to find a delicious or even decent cup of coffee. I have had delicious decaff at Joe's and for me that is the one to beat, the one here at Kaph is on par with many others: no flavor, just something warm to drink.

As it is said distance makes the heart grow fonder and this saying couldn't be more matching considering my currently long distance relationship with Kaph. Kaph is like my little happy box in the heart of Dublin´s city centre, it's the mix of excellent service, good music , relaxed atmosphere and not to forget the perfect cup of coffee. It doesn't matter if you go in for a take away coffee, just a quick coffee with a friend or just take a seat along the window and enjoy a almond hot chocolate, coconut matcha or almond flat white and let the world pass by. One thing for sure the quality of coffee, friendliness and coffee knowledge of the staff will never let you down. While writing this long time overdue review I realized how much I miss my little happy box at the moment so if you looking for an overall amazing coffee experience there is no better place then Kaph!

Anyone else getting very mediocre coffee in here lately? I just binned a 3/4 full "cappuccino" but I was too far away to go back to enquire/complain and this is the second time this has happened within 2wks (benefit of the doubt the first time - there will be no third time!). Not sure they know how to make a proper cappuccino in there, don't think there was even a double shot in my supposed cappuccino! When the cafe opened it was quite good, gone down hill big time. Staff require proper barista training perhaps. If I wanted a glass of milk I would have gone to Dunnes. Now in Butlers not shitting you. Now not all is entirely negative, the place is nice and ideally situated in town and they've a good people watching window and I'm sure they can't fuck up a cup of tea or an Expresso for that matter..but as a primarily cappuccino drinker I'm disappointed. Buck up guys! You can DO IT!!!

Great coffee! I've been here a couple of times now and have to say I just love their coffee. I also have a bit of a thing for their Madeleines. They're lovely and fresh and go so nicely with the coffee. This morning I think they're serving 3FE Kaph Blend that was only roasted yesterday! It's so nice that I've bought a bag of the beans to bring home. Any time I've been here it's been packed and can be hard to get a seat but it's definitely worth a visit even if you just want to grab coffee to go because it's full of hipsters ;)

Loved this little coffee shop. Cozy, great coffee with nice plant-based options. A good selection of treats with many of them vegan. Highly recommend.

They have a nice selection of pastries!

I'm really starting to like Kaph! I have heard of them but never really checked them out until last weekend. They've got some great pastries and flavourful local coffee (3FE, you guys!). They don't really have much place to sit indoors and sip coffee but it's a perfect spot for some coffee on the go. I haven't tried the Green Tea Latte which people seem to rave about in their reviews, but you probably want to try that if you aren't a coffee fan.

There are 101 coffee shops in every town in Ireland these days. Visit Dublin city centre and that figure jumps to 1001. From the generic Starbucks to the quirky roadside kiosk, Dubliners are spoilt for choice. With the coffee boom in play though it makes choosing one hard, and choosing a good one even harder. Enter Kaph. Kaph opened it's doors in late 2013 on Drury street and is quite well known for being one of the best (if not the best) coffee spots within the city's creative quarter. But for those who don't spend their time strolling around town trying the latest hotspots, Kaph may have gone under the radar for some. When you first walk up to Kaph it's quite understated. No bright lights or flashy logos that one would be used to, but more of a subtle, clean and inviting shop front with a big open window. You can see from first glance whether it's buzzing or not - and it always is (one of the best signs when trying to decide whether a cafe is good or not). The general clientele are exactly what you would expect for this area: trendy, artsy type young adults (which isn't a bad thing at all, they tend to know their stuff). The staff greet you with a smile, they welcome chat and are more than happy to advise you on their coffee selection. Apart from their drinks, they've a small range of pastries, cakes and even Paleo treats. Something for everyone to match with their coffee of choice. When I visited I ordered a flat white and headed upstairs. The vibe is a little quieter here, away from the noise of the coffee machines below. People working on their laptops. Friends chatting. A small pocket of calm inside the city. One of the things I liked most was the wall covered in art. Some of it even looked as if it was handdrawn at the table next to it and stuck up by the customer on the way out (and a very talented customer at that). Most importantly though, the coffee is great. I'm not to one to be able to really get descriptive with coffee, I'm not a connoisseur in the slightest. However I can be quite picky when it comes to what I like, and these guys have really hit the nail on the head. I'm not the only one who thinks this though - LovinDublin voted it the No. 2 coffee shop in Dublin (as the sign says when you walk in). They've rave reviews from newspapers and bloggers both at home and abroad. All in all, Kaph is a great spot. It might not be in your normal route around the city, but if you've got the extra 10 minutes to spare or simply want to try something new, definitely pay them a visit. You can thank me later.

    soya flat white

I love this cappuccinos here, especially when done with soya milk. The coconut milk and almond milk ones are pretty nice too and the first time I've seen a cafe in Dublin have those options. The cafe is pretty small inside, but there is a bit more seating upstairs which is usually nice and quite. The only bad thing is that although I love flat whites in general and order them frequently at other coffee shops, the one's here are gross: It was soooo bitter I could barely drink it, and the size is quite small. The staff are quite friendly though, and the prices are cheap. They also do a stamp card so you get every 10th coffee free. They also sell 3fe coffee and matcha latte (which is sweet due to added sugar).

    Matcha Tea Latte. Tasty.
    Juan R.

Very good place to have a great cup of coffee. It is small so don't come here looking for comfy sofas or jazz music playing in the background. They just have coffee, and a great damn one (one of the best I have tasted in Dublin). Also, you should try the Matcha Tea Latte, very tasty and (apparently) healthy?

Chilling at the front of the cafe where the cushions are (hence my socks) with a cuppa green tea latte that I adore!

The coffee was great. The seating can be tough as it's a pretty small place. And the service was efficient.

Decent coffee and worth the walk if you don't want the typical coffee sold by chains or breakfast places.

The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). If you're in Dublin and are looking for an exemplary cuppa and some tasty bites served with a smile--this is your spot. Get to it!

They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN.
