A slight pivot... This Kahala Mall locations shop has been one of the last location to carry slippers and though they've always have these cute and customizable decor items it seems like they've gone fully into this direction and what a lovely change it is. Once carrying unique footwear now you can decorate your space with fun and vibrant clocks, frames and expressive items that you can definitely keep for yourself or share for that special someone. I was shopping for a work buddy who's moving on to greater adventure and was just wandering around Kahala Mall and decided to give them a peek and love the layout of this spacious shop is like browsing around an art gallery. The staff is very nice and pleasant as I browsed around love to see a lounge area as well for those that need a break while others shop is truly a comforting place to find that unique item made special is fun and don't forget to sale section that's in the back of the shop right beside the ornament wall. Thank you!

Natalie was excellent sale lady, she helped me and my sister and friends. We were just got to Waikiki and explored this mall. Love the traditional Hawaiian art and wood work. I think we will be back again

I want to give a special thank you to Maurice from CocoNene for helping us design, package and have an amazing experience. He was a pleasure and made the exquisite products even more enjoyable.

Island Sole features Hawaiian-made products is located in Kahala Mall. The sell several different brands of "flip flop" wear including the coveted (and expensive) Olukai brand. I arrived early on a Wednesday and received excellent service. I picked out a pair of Olukai white sandals that I had seen earlier in the week. The clerk encouraged me to select a smaller size with a better fit. Their Olukais run at $82 but they do have a few styles on sale. They also carry a small wide variety Reef and Birkenstock sandals for women, men and kids. They carry local artistic signs, decor and giftware as well. This is a fun shop to check out if you want aloha experience.

We came in looking for a wedding gift for our relatives living on the mainland. It was a pleasant surprise to find that there was an option for a customizable wooden decor. They have a huge selection of pieces ranging from more decorative pieces, to photo frames, and even clocks to choose from. I love that CocoNene supports local artists as well!

We came in and made a frame for a dear friend. My daughter enjoyed picking out the frame and accessories to decorate around the frame. Such a cute and personalized gift!

The food wasn't coming from here, but my daughter just had to see what was inside. So we came in to just look. Sugarcane is this cute shop where you can find all these locally made items for a gift, for the home, fir kids, for a friend, or for visitors. They have books, puzzles, toys jewelry, totes, bags, coasters and more. I love the wooden toys for the kids. I bought a wooden cell phone, a camera, stickers and a cute cooking set. They are my kiddos favorite toys. I've gotten key chains and jewelry for gifts. We have coasters for our home too. The workers are pretty friendly and they also wrapped my gift item too. The items seem pricey, but they are locally made and are unique. I don't think you'll find any ship with the same kind of item that Sugarcane carries. Overall, this is a great place to get gifts and maybe something for yourself. Beware of bringing your children. They will make you buy everything.

Beyond the necessary malasada at Pipeline Bakery (review: https://yelp.to/coxyVLI5P8), we were curious about a couple of LGBTQ-owned businesses on Waialae Avenue. One was a fun pet supply emporium, The Public Pet (review: https://yelp.to/XXvGoRe97Q), and this was the other store. There were plenty of things to browse. Clothing and accessories appeared to dominate the main hallway, while housewares, handbag, and fabrics were presented in the back area. Big star for these lovely unique items! There are changing rooms available. We loved all the displays of old school things like a printing press! Lost a star because sadly no welcome when we entered, asking if we needed help or show us where things were located in case we didn't see them.
