Sugarcane is this cute shop where you can find all these locally made items for a gift, for the home, fir kids, for a friend, or for visitors. They have books, puzzles, toys jewelry, totes, bags, coasters and more. I love the wooden toys for the kids. I bought a wooden cell phone, a camera, stickers and a cute cooking set. They are my kiddos favorite toys. I've gotten key chains and jewelry for gifts. We have coasters for our home too. The workers are pretty friendly and they also wrapped my gift item too. The items seem pricey, but they are locally made and are unique. I don't think you'll find any ship with the same kind of item that Sugarcane carries. Sticking with the theme the best in my opinion with adorable wooden boxes in the shapes of the kagami mochi stacks, wooden zodiac animal charms and what really really caught my eye was their fortune cookie coin purse which was so thoughtfully crafted to include a fortune in each one is so cool. The unique items they have is what I love and it was nice to meet the crafters behind it along with seeing all the items they carry on hand versus online is more my thing but now know some of their items since I've seen them will give their site a visit for more unique finds and to support this cute local small biz. I picked up some stickers and also a mini Trader Joe's tote bag. It was 3 times the price, but I understand that they need to raise their prices in order to flip a profit. FYI they do credit card only. Apparently they have their own parking stalls but I didn't realize that until after the fact and accidentally parked in another biz's parking stall. Oops. This shop's stalls are off to the side near the wall, not right near the shop's entrance.

Love the layout though small and cozy it's all nicely organized with items from various other small local vendors are also found here is nice as they work together to bring us fun and unique items from everyday stationary items to of course scrapbooking are found here, I've been seeking quite a bit of inspiration for an a spark of idea and found it here and got so inspired which is a happy dance. Nothing beats the scraps of ideas generated from places like this as it got me going and will definitely be back as this little Kaimuki shop is cute and filled with surprises. Thank you!

Da Shop is filled with books written by local authors and more. A great place to pick up a children's book, multiple genres of literature or a book about Hawai'i. It's air conditioned inside so you can meander and check out the book and gifts selections in comfort. Great service here as well. I picked up a children's book on counting up to ten in Hawaiian. I hope my gran niece enjoys it. The book was very reasonably priced. There is no on site parking for customers. You will need to find street parking.
