The CocoCrissi food truck came to our neighborhood pool party, and it was the perfect summertime treat! Our HOA sponsored the event, so the Icees were included, which was a nice bonus. I didn't find them too sweet, I actually enjoyed the flavor as an adult. Honestly, what could be better than an Icee in the middle of summer?

As a former New Yorker, I was excited to find this place last summer. Excited for the new season. Cute little place (no AC or places to sit inside). Reasonably priced and have always had good service when we were there. This trip I got watermelon (my favorite) and mango which turned into a pretty combination.

NYC Frozen Ice like they do in the Bronx/Brooklyn....representin' hard in Raleigh, NC!! Coco Crissi's represent NY style shaved ice and Italian icees proper! I was in town for my niece graduation from Duke. As part of her graduation reception and catered food options offered as part of the event, I stumbled on the vendor-food truck for Coco Crissi's while on the campus. As soon as I spotted the truck outside the reception room, I couldn't resist. I skipped the entire food and dessert buffet on the inside of the building.....and "B-lined" for the truck! lol Coco Crissi's did not disappoint. Having lived in NYC ages ago. The profile of their icees is just how they do it back in the Burroughs of NYC and brought back many memories of a time when I lived in the Bronx and Brooklyn. I tried the small with 2 flavors (piña colada and strawberry lemonade). It was so good...I inhaled the entire cup and went back for seconds. I also tried a cherry, margarita & mango combination. Both were on point and was so flavorful, creamy but all "icy goodness." In Short...one word.... "HELLALICIOS!!" It was so good, we came back the next day to their brick n' mortar shop before heading back home to DC just for another taste and to try additional flavors. We left again, totally satisfied. Everything about this small business deserves 5 Stars!! From the customer service to the offerings of Coco Crissi's.....it is an experience and top-notch. Shout out to the son of the owner! On both occasions and visit, he was outstanding and represented their product well. Much continued success Coco Crissi's! I highly recommend, if you ever in the Raleigh-Durham area. The vibe is so chill, friendly, welcoming and the beats being played across the shop makes you reminisce of the good ol' days of living/visiting the Burroughs of NYC streets. Give this place a try....you will not be disappointed!! It's the perfect fix to beat the NC heat and dog days of the summer....or just to satisfy yourself with a great treat when the sweet tooth calls. * Yelp Insider Tip: There are over 20+ great flavors at this place to choose from and more. Check them out online to get a sense of their offerings ahead of your visit. Also, there is parking and seating available inside/outside the shop.

Stopped by this spot on a whim and I'm glad we did! The person behind the counter was very helpful in my flavor choices and they engaged my daughter in a very enthusiastic conversation about their mutual interest,Homestuck! She always loves to find another fan to talk to about it! The ices were amazing! Such great flavors! The overall vibe is very laid back with good music playing at a conversational level. We will definitely be returning!

Had to Stop by here having recently moved here from NYC. I have missed Italian icees. I ordered the small with 2 flavors (piña colada and strawberry lemonade). It was so flavorful and creamy but icy. It was delicious, much like home. The gentleman was very friendly, patient and very proud of their product. He allowed me to sample a flavor before ordering the cup and gave recommendations. $6 for the small is a good price for the amount you get. I can't imagine having three scoops for the amount but definitely want to try all the flavors. There is some seating outside none inside. But the shop inside is very spacious with a restroom and very colorful. They take cash card and tap. Overall I will be back and will work my way through the flavors.

What started as a mobile business in 2009 is finally brick and mortar and I cannot tell you how happy (and dangerous) I am!! Being born and raised in NYC, I was so happy to first try their Icees 5 years ago and they have only gotten better since. To clarify, this is dangerous for my waistline lol not your wallet, the icees are amazing and they even offer pint options to bring home! I've ordered their icees several times over the years but yesterday was their grand opening and it was live and in full effect. The shop was sparkling and all the staff were smiling. The dj was bumping some great 90s hits and everyone was enjoying their icees. The owner was walking around greeting everyone and his team was so helpful! Honestly it's the perfect location, lots of parking and great visibility from the road. I can admit I came here after church again today, don't judge my life! I told you it was dangerous and yet I have no regrets. Not a one! Neither will you, so come on and try them out, their hours are 12-8 Monday-Sunday so you can't miss them! Buen Provecho!

My kids love it. Very good, however when they are mobile I've found that prices can vary which was very disappointing.

They use a lot of local ingredients here and this ice cream was made with honey from Mike's Bees in Raleigh. My wife had the banana pudding ice cream and it was excellent as well. You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors here. Very creamy with a silky texture. This is better than the vast majority of places you'll go to for ice cream. Service was very friendly and patient as my family practically sampled every flavor on the menu. Lots of outdoor seating here which was perfect on a comfortable, moderately cool summer night. If you're as indecisive as I am, they'll gladly let you sample a few before committing. The shop itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The colorful decor and festive atmosphere make it a fun place to sit and enjoy your ice cream rather than just grabbing it to go. The hardest part was choosing from all the unique flavors. Everything I sampled was delicious, and the scoop I ended up with was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they put a lot of thought into creating combinations that are both creative and genuinely tasty. Whether you're a local or just visiting Durham, Jeni's is absolutely worth a stop for a sweet treat. Great ice cream, great atmosphere, and even better customer service. They accidentally gave me the milk chocolate ice cream (pictured here) and later swapped it out for darkest when I asked. The ice cream is mediocre in my opinion and leans on the sweeter side. The ambiance and seating in here is plentiful. I came here with 10+ colleagues and we ended up sitting at the high top bar, not pictured. My main qualm with Jeni's is the temperature inside the store; it was freezing inside even though I was fully dressed in business casual with a sweater.

"Eastern-inspired ice cream and other sweets, next door to La Vaquita in Durham"…read more Stopped by this lovely shop at 7pm on a Saturday evening. The name a little hard to catch, but it's a small greenish building immediately beside La Vaquita on Chapel Hill Road (with the giant cow on the roof). The outdoor area is quite nice, with a fenced outdoor area having swings and other seating/ space for families. We were greeted quite warmly when we arrived. They had maybe ~15 flavors of ice cream or similar (will return to that in a second) as well as other sweets like baklava. But this is not your ordinary ice cream shop-- the flavors were unusual. Cucumber, date, and others caught my eye, but I didn't try those. Unlike one Yelp reviewer's comment, when we went, there was both a regular pistachio as well as a vegan pistachio option. I got something different-- I tried the falooda... a Persian inspired ice-cream-like dish with rose syrup and small cooked noodles. The texture is slightly like an italian ice, but the flavor was great. However, there's more-- on a table off to the side, there were separate lemon and cherry flavors that we were invited to try adding to the falooda. Let me tell you-- either addition turned a good dish into a heavenly dish! Sooooo good. Try it, but only if you're open to "this isn't just ice cream". There were also some wafer cookies to the side we were invited to have with our respective dishes. Seating inside was stools at benches facing a thin window bar-- outside is nicer if you have a big group and/ or if weather is nice, but it was fine. I did stop by the restroom briefly, and it was clean, too. Overall, definitely plan to come back to this eastern-inspired ice cream shop, and I encourage others to give it a try too!
