Delicious Italian ices that I haven't found anywhere else in the Triangle! I combined blue raspberry and bubble gum; my wife did banana and watermelon, which was surprisingly good. Cool NYC-themed takeout interior and multiple picnic tables outside, great when it's nice out. Looking forward to coming back and trying a new combo! Can't miss it when on US-70 between Brier Creek and the I-885 connector, at the corner of Sherron Rd next to the Burger King. read more

CocoCrissi Tropical Icees - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

Very refreshing snack while leaving the park with our little one. They were parked right in front and was a major hit on a hot day. The kiddos loved it. There was a line when we came and also when we left. The cups were $5 for two scoops of your choice. The flavor was surprisingly good and didn't just taste like food coloring. We got Sour Apple and Rainbow. It was nice to see a respectable young man at the window, making a name for himself at such a young age. Would definitely try again. read more

This spot, located just around the corner, is my go-to on a hot day. The staff is always friendly, and their Italian ices are fantastic. I've been working my way through the menu and haven't found a single flavor I don't love. read more

The CocoCrissi food truck came to our neighborhood pool party, and it was the perfect summertime treat! Our HOA sponsored the event, so the Icees were included, which was a nice bonus. I didn't find them too sweet, I actually enjoyed the flavor as an adult. Honestly, what could be better than an Icee in the middle of summer? read more

CocoCrissi Tropical Icees - Rainbow on the left and a mix of cherry, blue raspberry, and lemon on the right! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

As a former New Yorker, I was excited to find this place last summer. Excited for the new season. Cute little place (no AC or places to sit inside). Reasonably priced and have always had good service when we were there. This trip I got watermelon (my favorite) and mango which turned into a pretty combination. read more

NYC Frozen Ice like they do in the Bronx/Brooklyn....representin' hard in Raleigh, NC!! Coco Crissi's represent NY style shaved ice and Italian icees proper! I was in town for my niece graduation from Duke. As part of her graduation reception and catered food options offered as part of the event, I stumbled on the vendor-food truck for Coco Crissi's while on the campus. As soon as I spotted the truck outside the reception room, I couldn't resist. I skipped the entire food and dessert buffet on the inside of the building.....and "B-lined" for the truck! lol Coco Crissi's did not disappoint. Having lived in NYC ages ago. The profile of their icees is just how they do it back in the Burroughs of NYC and brought back many memories of a time when I lived in the Bronx and Brooklyn. I tried the small with 2 flavors (piña colada and strawberry lemonade). It was so good...I inhaled the entire cup and went back for seconds. I also tried a cherry, margarita & mango combination. Both were on point and was so flavorful, creamy but all "icy goodness." In Short...one word.... "HELLALICIOS!!" It was so good, we came back the next day to their brick n' mortar shop before heading back home to DC just for another taste and to try additional flavors. We left again, totally satisfied. Everything about this small business deserves 5 Stars!! From the customer service to the offerings of Coco Crissi's.....it is an experience and top-notch. Shout out to the son of the owner! On both occasions and visit, he was outstanding and represented their product well. Much continued success Coco Crissi's! I highly recommend, if you ever in the Raleigh-Durham area. The vibe is so chill, friendly, welcoming and the beats being played across the shop makes you reminisce of the good ol' days of living/visiting the Burroughs of NYC streets. Give this place a try....you will not be disappointed!! It's the perfect fix to beat the NC heat and dog days of the summer....or just to satisfy yourself with a great treat when the sweet tooth calls. * Yelp Insider Tip: There are over 20+ great flavors at this place to choose from and more. Check them out online to get a sense of their offerings ahead of your visit. Also, there is parking and seating available inside/outside the shop. read more

Had to Stop by here having recently moved here from NYC. I have missed Italian icees. I ordered the small with 2 flavors (piña colada and strawberry lemonade). It was so flavorful and creamy but icy. It was delicious, much like home. The gentleman was very friendly, patient and very proud of their product. He allowed me to sample a flavor before ordering the cup and gave recommendations. $6 for the small is a good price for the amount you get. I can't imagine having three scoops for the amount but definitely want to try all the flavors. There is some seating outside none inside. But the shop inside is very spacious with a restroom and very colorful. They take cash card and tap. Overall I will be back and will work my way through the flavors. read more

Stopped by this spot on a whim and I'm glad we did! The person behind the counter was very helpful in my flavor choices and they engaged my daughter in a very enthusiastic conversation about their mutual interest,Homestuck! She always loves to find another fan to talk to about it! The ices were amazing! Such great flavors! The overall vibe is very laid back with good music playing at a conversational level. We will definitely be returning! read more

There's something about Italian icees that's hard to beat! I was the biggest fan of Sunset Slush when it was local. I found Pelican's Snoball and was incomplete heaven. While I like both shaved iced and icee there is a distinct difference. CocoCrissi is a very, very good iccee. We typically lean into coconut and cotton candy. However, we found blue raspberry a real treat. You can blend flavors, or request two flavors (perhaps more) individually scooped. If possible, I'd suggest trying a sample to determine sweetness and flavor levels. My family absolutely loved! Looking forward to many more! Icee: 4.3 read more

What started as a mobile business in 2009 is finally brick and mortar and I cannot tell you how happy (and dangerous) I am!! Being born and raised in NYC, I was so happy to first try their Icees 5 years ago and they have only gotten better since. To clarify, this is dangerous for my waistline lol not your wallet, the icees are amazing and they even offer pint options to bring home! I've ordered their icees several times over the years but yesterday was their grand opening and it was live and in full effect. The shop was sparkling and all the staff were smiling. The dj was bumping some great 90s hits and everyone was enjoying their icees. The owner was walking around greeting everyone and his team was so helpful! Honestly it's the perfect location, lots of parking and great visibility from the road. I can admit I came here after church again today, don't judge my life! I told you it was dangerous and yet I have no regrets. Not a one! Neither will you, so come on and try them out, their hours are 12-8 Monday-Sunday so you can't miss them! Buen Provecho! read more

The owner was very welcoming! The place has a nice chill vibe to it. We visited on a very hot day & we were comfortable outside thanks to the shade/umbrellas! Also can't beat the price AND what comes with it! We got two small cups & they let you choose up to 2 flavors. We'll definitely be going back!! So glad to have a local place for Italian ice! Cute place with picnic tables and umbrellas to sit outside. We waited about 35 minutes which seemed long and there weren't any napkins, but otherwise everything was great. I had the coconut and pineapple. A bit sweet for me so next time will stick with lemon. Also a small would have been enough but after that wait, we just went for the big one. My hubby had the Swedish fish and Pina colada. read more
