But things have changed when we went recently, the cup sizes are tiny now and they now have the dreaded Tip demand when you order. I prefer to tip AFTER the service, based on the quality of the food and service. When a tip is demanded up front, I always wonder if the food will be messed with if I do NOT tip them first. I have worked during high school in restaurants and know how it goes. Went here the other day because I noticed their grand opening sign. We were so excited to see what they had to offer! First! The food! Unfortunately the food was very mediocre for the price. With the shrimp plates you get the shrimp of your choice, seasoned rice and a salad with your choice of two dressings. The biggest disappointment was the amount of shrimp, I got the coconut shrimp and was so excited to try them out but was let down when I saw I only received six. (Reminder shrimp plates range for 10-13 dollars.) The salad was decent, but the rice was overly buttered. It wasn't the worst experience but I don't think it's particularly worth how much they charge. Secondly! The inside! The vibe inside is like you're in a beach shack, which I enjoyed! The staff were lovely and apologetic when our food took a bit to come out, the young girls behind the counter as well as the in the kitchen were great! However I did notice some adult men in coco shrimp shirts (Im assuming managers or owners) that were just lounging around chatting rather than helping their workers/checking in on other guests.
