They do one thing, and they do it perfectly! Seriously, if you like shrimp even just a little, this is an incredible lunch. Portion size is perfect, everything is insanely delicious (i can't break away from the coconut, but the other flavors are great, too), and OMG the grilled pineapple tastes like pie. Hope they'll open an Addison/ Plano/ Richardson location soon so I don't have to drive as far. read more

Visiting UNT so lunch beforehand was in order. Picked this place from other review and in the mood for shrimp as well. Good choice. You get order in large cardboard box (wax lined interior) so you can take a lot home as leftovers. Six big shrimp a ton of rice and small green salad. Yummy. Great fun looking interior see photos. Big screens TV play video of Hawaii scenes especially surfing. read more

We LOVE their tacos, coco shrimp and sweet & spicy platters. The poppy seed dressing for the salad is our go to choice-- tangy and sweet. The rice portions are huge and so deliciously buttery. Robbie the manager even came by to check on on twice! Great service and great food. Second visit and excited to make many more! We've also had their garlic butter shrimp and lemon herb at the downtown FW location and you can't go wrong. Their breaded shrimp options for us however are the super stars. read more

Today was my first time at Coco Shrimp. I ordered two entrees to go and did not check the order when it came out. I left the store & went home & when I opened the bag, one entree was missing. I called the store & was offered a refund for the missing food but told it would take a couple of days to come through on my bank card. I left a review and shortly after got a call from Levon, the GM. He offered a cash refund and also replaced my missing order. And the food was delicious! Levon went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction and that I will definitely be a return customer. Many thanks for the outstanding customer service sir. Hats off!!!! read more

It's shrimp ya'll.. coconut, spicy, garlic butter.. it comes in a convenient to go box. Half the box is filled with buttery rice, the shrimp nestled on top. The other half is salad! You can ask for more salad and less rice which is what I'd do next time. The fried options leave me too full but my favorites were the spicy and garlic! There are two dressing choices and the ginger one is good. The sauces reminded me of the spicy Mayo on a sushi roll. The dressing like that at a hibachi place! It's a little pricier than typical fast food but the quality is better. Whatcha waiting for? Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food! read more

Rip off. $13 meal with 6 shrimp, some sad lettuce and a POUND of plain rice. The little salad dressing containers they include for take out were not even half full, and the salad was smushed right up against the warm rice in the take out container. Warm, soggy lettuce is SO appetizing. Thoroughly disappointing, I will not be back. read more

Wow! As soon as you can, you need to check out Coco Shrimp. Family and I were headed to another restaurant in Denton when we passed this place. Being from Hawaii, first thing came to mind was Kahuku Shrimp trucks on North Shore of Oahu. This was an excellent choice and glad we stopped here. I am a forever fan of this place. They also put a butter garlic sauce on the rice that will knock your socks off. The Regional Manager, Robbie, stopped by to check on us and was super nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place. Dont go here, the staff is racist. One man kept giving us stares making me and my partner uncomfortable while we ate (we were the only people of color at the restaurant at the time) and he kept hovering over us but not addressing us just giving us nasty looks the whole time. It's a bummer when you are just trying to eat and you are clearly being targeted for not looking a certain way. Nothing new in Denton though. Don't recommend this place, they only care about you if you aren't a poc. read more

This is a welcomed delight! Didn't know what to expect but this was very tasty. I went with the sampler and chose the lemon herb, sweet and spicy and coco. The sweet and spicy was my absolute favorite! The sauce they drizzled on the rice was delightful. The poppyseed dressing was a bit as well. Will definitely return when I'm in the area! read more

I don't know who needs to hear this but the owners did something RIGHT when they created Coco Shrimp. This food is so freakin delicious. The shrimp, amazing, the rice SO GOOD and the salad + the poppyseed vinaigrette + ginger vinaigrette YALL those are so delicious, bursting with flavor. I love this place. The flavor, the staff, the vibe in the place it's all really good. I just have to be honest with the public. Me and my wife ordered 2 samplers to go, it was her first time so you know we had to get grilled pineapples too. Unfortunately we see this once we get home and unpack. It's the digestive tract (poop) of the shrimp was still inside. Ya need to clean y'all shrimp properly please. That's disgusting. read more

Tried this spot in Denton!!! OMG! The food is spectacular and the service impeccable. Josh at the register was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered the best recommendations. The manager, Robbie, was very visible and personable. He took the time to listen to the details of our experience. Coco Shrimp was great, and I am happy it is here in Denton/DFW. I am from Houston and I had all but given UP on finding a good shrimp place, especially one that sells my favorite Shrimp configuration: coconut shrimp! You order at the counter, and they bring you the food. Great shrimp- the size is big like you'd get on the Gulf- nice variety in sides, and HUGE portions. I would say get the plate first and go back up if you need more food, because they really give you your money's worth in rice & salad. They play fun beach videos on the TVs which adds to the "island beach shack" vibe of the place. Overall, I really appreciate this place & it had dope food. Visit if you love shrimp! read more

10/10 so wonderful, I am so sad to know there isn't one in San Antonio. After having five days straight of fried food in Oklahoma with my mom this food was a breath of fresh air. The value of what we paid for was excellent. I'm already looking for excuses to be in the area again solely to enjoy this lovely little restaurant. The staff was so kind and helpful. We recently moved from Flower Mound to Denton. My old neighbor works in Denton and told us her favorite place for lunch was Coco Shrimp. My husband and I went there for lunch. It's a super chillax place as soon as you enter and hear party music playing. We had no idea what to order. I got the salad with shrimp & my husband ordered tacos. We were so speechless when we were eating as we couldn't believe how good it was. We have been back several times and tell everyone about this place. I even bought a t-shirt as such a fan.
