Honestly the best and fresh shrimp around. Massive portion sizes and everything was fantastic. Even inside while waiting it was a great space to hangout read more

The shrimp, rice and salad are so delicious!!! Portions are generous. Service is quick. The tropical feel of the restaurant is great. read more

Rip off. $13 meal with 6 shrimp, some sad lettuce and a POUND of plain rice. The little salad dressing containers they include for take out were not even half full, and the salad was smushed right up against the warm rice in the take out container. Warm, soggy lettuce is SO appetizing. Thoroughly disappointing, I will not be back. read more

We recently moved from Flower Mound to Denton. My old neighbor works in Denton and told us her favorite place for lunch was Coco Shrimp. My husband and I went there for lunch. It's a super chillax place as soon as you enter and hear party music playing. We had no idea what to order. I got the salad with shrimp & my husband ordered tacos. We were so speechless when we were eating as we couldn't believe how good it was. We have been back several times and tell everyone about this place. I even bought a t-shirt as such a fan. The sauces are incredible too so experiment with all of them!! The service is fast and you are always greeted with friendly smiling faces!! read more

My wife and I finally have them a try! OMG- it's so good, loved the Rice And the Salad as well! This is another hidden GEM in Denton! Love the clean building, great food, and atmosphere here! This concept is done right. You owe it to yourself to give them a try! Huge Thumbs UP!!!!!! read more

I wasn't sure when my husband took me here because I had heard they only have shrimp. But this is the best little shrimp shack you could dream of! The food is amazing. I've since been here a few times. Right now my favorite are the shrimp Taxis and I add grilled pineapple to them. Oh gosh my mouth wants them now as I type about them. Lol. The service is speedy and always correct. Inside is a beach vibe with surfer decor and a giant sink to wash your hands. Also outside seating which is needed because this place is always packed! Try it if you'd like shrimp. All other entrees come with a salad and rice. read more

Dont go here, the staff is racist. One man kept giving us stares making me and my partner uncomfortable while we ate (we were the only people of color at the restaurant at the time) and he kept hovering over us but not addressing us just giving us nasty looks the whole time. It's a bummer when you are just trying to eat and you are clearly being targeted for not looking a certain way. Nothing new in Denton though. Don't recommend this place, they only care about you if you aren't a poc. read more

There is a reason this place has great reviews! I was greeted by Kimberly when I walked in... she gave me some suggestions and checked on me during my meal. I like the vibe of the restaurant, the paper containers and the option of not having to use straws. I ordered the sampler meal with the coco shrimp, lemon herb shrimp and the butter garlic shrimp. I'm a 100% sure this will be my go to meal every time I visit! read more

Nothing better than a QSR that makes food quick and hot! Food here tasted great! I had the Lemon Herd Plate along with a single taco and both were great. The food came out quick and restaurant was clean on the inside. Would certainly come back and try more options. read more

The food taste was ok, preparation was very nice, the environment of the restaurant is more social than dressy environment. The service of the staff was decent in my FIRST VISIT, months ago, but could have gotten better since then is why I am giving the rating. read more

The premise seems quite simple: seasoned shrimp over rice with a side salad. But don't be fooled: each one of those elements has been elevated here! The shrimp are fresh and tender, the sauces are delicious, the side salad is crisp with cucumbers and dried cranberries, and even the rice is meticulously cooked, rich with buttery flavors. Top it off with a fun, casual Hawaiian surfshop vibe and an owner who is gracious and friendly and this will surely become your new favorite lunch stop. Came all the way from Seattle at the words from a friend who said we have to try Coco Shrimp!! I brought in my avid fisherman hubby and the only problem is he can't decide which one he likes better. Absolutely best shrimp tacos I have ever had. The shell is crispy and the flavors are amazing!! They also have plates but the tacos are so good I can't get past them to order something else. They have fountain drinks but I just want water here because the food is the focus. No frills service but they are pleasant... you order and pay when you come in and then they call your name and will b ing it over... a little messy because THE SAUCE YUM but they have great hand washing sinks so you can clean up before leaving. read more

My son received a gift card for Coco Shrimp and we finally cashed it in. The service was excellent. I believe a manager took our order and he was so helpful with recommendations. The tacos were my absolute favorite and I wouldn't even have considered them without his recommendation. The samplers were also a great option to try a variety. The shrimp was so good!! We will definitely be returning and I'm not sharing my tacos next time. We also loved the look especially with all of the surfing decor. read more

First time here, nice decor clean. You order at the register. Very straightforward menu , I got the co omit shrimp plate . It comes with tons of moist seasoned rice and a little salad all in a to go box(cardboard) . Food was ready quickly. The coconut shrimp was hot and fresh . Sides were fab. I got some grilled pineapple to go in my rice, it adds a nice sweetness as well as the cranberries in the salad. It also comes with 2 salad dressings, poppyseed and ginger, plus a sweet/spicy chili sauce for the shrimp. All for under 15$! Great little place I'll be back! read more

The young man that took my order was very helpful and polite. The GM came by everyone's table to check on them. Super nice guy. The music was upbeat and happy. I was having a rough day up until now. My wife and I used to love this place- you stand in line, order your food and go sit and they bring it out to you. Wonderful food. But things have changed when we went recently, the cup sizes are tiny now and they now have the dreaded Tip demand when you order. I prefer to tip AFTER the service, based on the quality of the food and service. When a tip is demanded up front, I always wonder if the food will be messed with if I do NOT tip them first. I have worked during high school in restaurants and know how it goes. If your business allows demanding the tip up front, it guarantees I will not go back there anymore and that you should pay your employees better. But the food is definitely still 5 stars read more
