The food is tasty! In every order is rice and salad. I always have them cut the rice and double the salad to make it a little bit healthier. But I really like the food. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Managers quite often walk around to talk to customers to find out if they are having a positive dining experience. read more

Found these gem on yelp. Couldn't believe all the 5 star ratings. So has to come try it. They earned all the 5 star reviews!! Tried the sampler and ever kind of shrimp was excellent. Comes with a flavored rice that is wonderful, and a salad. Loved the ginger dressing. Go ahead and sign up for the rewards program even if it is your first time. We will for sure be back. And probably really soon. Hawaiian ambiance fun. And Robby the manager is happy, energetic, personable, and runs and excellent restaurant. read more

Is it possible to be addicted to a restaurant? Cuz, this girl is. The rice is beyond any rice I ever had before and the various shrimp is to die for. I can't have a favorite dish because they are all so yummy, so I always get the combo! When delivered the salad, rice and shrimp are the perfect temp. Move over Red Lobster, this girl has a new shrimp place. read more

I've come back to yet again complement this place! Have had 3 family members come out from out of state to visit in 3 separate occasions and coco shrimp is a must visit place I take my guests. Everyone absolutely loves the food and they always say how attentive and friendly the staff is. Been eating here since this location opened and have yet to have anything negative happen. Food is still always fresh and fantastic. Thank you!! read more

Went here the other day because I noticed their grand opening sign. We were so excited to see what they had to offer! First! The food! Unfortunately the food was very mediocre for the price. With the shrimp plates you get the shrimp of your choice, seasoned rice and a salad with your choice of two dressings. The biggest disappointment was the amount of shrimp, I got the coconut shrimp and was so excited to try them out but was let down when I saw I only received six. (Reminder shrimp plates range for 10-13 dollars.) The salad was decent, but the rice was overly buttered. It wasn't the worst experience but I don't think it's particularly worth how much they charge. Secondly! The inside! The vibe inside is like you're in a beach shack, which I enjoyed! The staff were lovely and apologetic when our food took a bit to come out, the young girls behind the counter as well as the in the kitchen were great! However I did notice some adult men in coco shrimp shirts (Im assuming managers or owners) that were just lounging around chatting rather than helping their workers/checking in on other guests. Overall, I wish I had just gotten more shrimp for my buck, and probably won't come back unless I'm real desperate. read more

The food and ambience were both great! It's the perfect spot for lunch with friends or your family. I tried the sweet and spicy shrimp and it was delicious! read more

Went to lunch with some co-workers here one day. The food was very good but the menu is limited with mainly only fried shrimp. Mainly fried items on the menu. Order at the front- no table side service. I don't remember the ambiance. It's a small place- good for lunch in a rush. The reason I am giving only 2 stars is because I took some leftovers home with me and my daughter ate some. Later in the day, both of us were sick from it. I won't be returning here. Food was decent tasting, but I don't want to get sick again. read more

And this is where the flavor resides I ordered the Coco tacos beyond delicious. I also ordered the sampler plate with butter garlic shrimp, and spicy shrimp. Just know that the spicy shrimp. are actually spicy. If it is your first time going, I recommend you order the coco tacos. read more

Pretty good. Coconut shrimp was our favorite of the 3 flavors we tried. Service was walk up and order ambience was fine. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves read more

Amazing. The dining room was clean. Staff was friendly. It was our first visit, and we plan to go back. We did the combination sampler and thought that might be the way to go every time. The only thing that kept them from 5 stars was the cost, two sampler meals, and drinks $33. Especially for an order from the line, then sit down. But to their credit, everything is more expensive these days. If you return with your cups you can save a few bucks. Our cups are in the cabinet for our next visit. read more

Really good food Too much salad Excellent choices. And lots of spice Reasonable pricing read more

My new addiction! If you like shrimp, this place rocks! Fast food prepared right and pretty healthy! Love i!

SERIOUSLY AMAZING. I got a sampler plate with coconut, lemon, and sweet/spicy and the flavors were out of this world. The coconut shrimp was better in a taco that I shared with a friend than in the bowl. The taco was so flavorful and fresh. The rice is buttery, so it's kind of heavy, but goes so well with the shrimp. Poppyseed dressing is a must for the salad! I'm from out of town and will dream about this until I get to visit again. read more

We tried Coco Shrimp a few days ago after spotting it and wanting to try it. The food was really great! My wife had the Coco Shrimp and I had a sampler with three varieties, all served on a massive bed of rice that was just as good as the shrimp, and a small salad. Loved every bite. And a special side note to whomever made the decision to spend a few more bucks on really nice speakers for the sound system. I am always sad when I eat at a restaurant and the sound system seems to be an afterthought rather than an important part of the dining experience. read more

Food was good, but it was just so dang loud in the restaurant. The music could be turned down a few notches. I'd like to hear what the people I'm dining with have to say. read more

OMG IT IS SO GOOD! I ordered the Coco Shrimp Tacos and my husband had the Shrimp Sampler. The tocos had a nice flour tortilla with loads of Coco Shrimp and an absolutely delicious sauce. The sampler platter was nice that you could try 3 different types of shrimp. Each one was as delicious as another. Sampler also came with a side of nicely seasoned sticky rice and some salad. It was all so fresh and flavorful. The portions were just right. I highly recommend. read more

Coco Shrimp - sampler platter with (left to right) butter garlic, sweet and spicy, coco shrimp - Seafood Near Me - Denton, Texas

It's pretty good. Different, but good. They need to work a bit on their customer service but the food is good. I have only ordered to go and haven't eaten inside but they do have a patio to eat on, if they keep the homeless panhandlers at bay. read more

I can never get enough of coco shrimp! I live an hour away from the Denton location - So whenever I am close by this is a must! The shrimp tacos are to die for Everything is always made and served hot and fresh. The young man at the front counter - Josh - You guys are lucky to have an employee like him. I've never seen him without a smile one is face, He is always polite and willing to go above and beyond. Very personable. And that means a lot because I am always in there by myself with my toddler... Thank you guys for great food and great customer service! read more

Coco Shrimp is in between a fast-food and a sit-down restaurant. You order at the counter, and the menu is limited to guess what-Shrimp! If you are a Shrimp lover then I will say you will be very happy, otherwise, this place may not be for you as they only sell shrimp plates. I had the sampler plate which allowed me to choose three flavors for my shrimp and came with a salad and rice. I chose spicy, butter garlic, and their signature coco shrimp. I loved all three and thought the rice was delicious. The salad comes with either poppyseed or ginger dressing--I tried both and liked the poppyseed the best. I felt like the salad was incredibly fresh. The atmosphere was nice as well. Great experience. read more

Coco Shrimp - Sampler box with spicy and butter garlic shrimp - Seafood Near Me - Denton, Texas

Awesome shrimp and the sticky rice is even better. Great service and atmosphere. Outdoor dining if you like.

GO HERE!! We live out of state and are beloved, covenant customers! I have even FaceTimed one of the owners after meeting his uncle the store manager which made my trip! This place is a must. read more

Came with my children and mom. Manager walked by and asked what we thought. I politely gave him my opinion that it was delicious but not great for larger families and that I would probably have to take my kids elsewhere afterward. The box is half lettuce, half rice with 3 shrimp for a kids box (not on the menu) and 6 shrimp for a regular box. The manager came back about 10 minutes later and asked my kids (not me) very loudly, "getting full?!" Which I thought was quite rude that he did not address me again. Regardless, I took home a small amount of lettuce and rice for my chickens and my kids were hungry after our 15 min ride home. I can spend the same amount at Marty B's and my kids are actually full. Great for individuals. Not families unless you are ready to spend $90... read more

This place is amazing!! I don't know what they put in that rice but it's addictive. Lively atmosphere and friendly service.

Just do it!! The tacos were fantastic!!! I wish I'd ordered more. Then we ordered two samplers with all different flavors, the spicy is spicy but so good! We loved everything about this meal. Consistently awesome food. Waitstaff is quick and helpful. Even on a busy day the manager checks in and cleans the dining area. So excited for this once tiny food truck to be expanding in the metro! read more

I love Coco shrimp but I have become very disappointed. It seems to me that as they enlarge their operation they lose their precision. I have now ordered twice from the Denton Coco shrimp and both orders have been messed up. I don't understand. They never used to mess up now I've had two in a row read more

Incredible flavor and super fresh! I've tried them all. My fav is garlic butter with lemon a close second. Everyone in my group loved the coco of course. Yum read more

Restaurant cleans, puts up chairs, closes and locks doors 10-15 prior to the time posted on the door. If you show up at 8:45pm and the signage on the door says they close at 9pm, the workers are literally going to stare at you through the locked doors. The signage on the door needs to reflect the actual time you are still cooking food and serving customers. Instead the time posted on the door is the time the workers leave to go home. read more

Love it, Love it. Drove all the way to Denton from Midlothian to try the new location... Awesome! We were kindly greeted with a loud Mahalo and checked on and by Walter when we were finished. We can't wait for the Mansfield location! read more
