Talk about flavor...I tried this bc it's always packed so I needed to see what the hype was about. I tried the taco that is the best shrimp taco I've ever had in my life. I couldn't even get a pic bc I ate it too fast. Then I ordered a sampler with the CoCo shrimp and garlic butter- it comes with rice and salad. Garlic butter was pretty good but the coco shrimp is delicious!! The salad with the poppyseed dressing was good and the rice lacked flavor. However, this is now one of my new fav locAl places! read more

What a relief it is to have a place like this in an area swamped with fried chicken and burger joints. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. I tried the sampler with Coco, Spicy, and Butter garlic. All of them were tasty I'd say the Coco and the spicy stood out more. I will be a regular especially on nights when we don't want to cook but still have a good take home meal. read more

The shrimp & portions are awesome, & definitely one of the better places to try in Denton. The servers were nice & the overall vibe made you feel like you were on the beach. read more

We met the owner Robbie who was an absolute delight. We tried the Sampler with coconut shrimp, this is highly recommended!!

I remember driving by the hardware store on Basswood and seeing a little food truck in a corner of the hardware store parking lot years ago.It had a few tables with some tarps to shield from sun and rain. I had drove by it for about a year before I tried it. These people worked very hard to make it to where they are now. Food and service have always been great. Just shows if you work hard, stay motivated and have a little luck you can control you future. I am so happy to see the owners being rewarded now. They deserve it! read more

My dad specifically told me to make an account to leave a review for this place he loves it so much. I unfortunately had to inform him that I already had one but I'd leave a review for him as I'm unable to eat shrimp due to stomach allergy after eating it. I can comment however on the how the inside feels like your sitting at a coastal bar watching the tide roll in and listening to some general jams and watching surfers hit big waves. The seats are pretty comfortable while my dad and mom enjoy their fine dining and my brother and I scarf our Whataburger down that took as long to come out as theirs did to be prepared and eat. Two thumbs up. read more

Love this place, the food is different and very good, the employees are always smiling and eager to help.

I like it. There are different flavors to select. Quick service and the ambiance are good.

Food was great, I got the sampler. Although the Lemon flavored shrimp needs a lot more lemon, all I could taste was plain (non flavored) shrimp. The garlic shrimp also did not have that garlic flavor. Luckily the sweet and spicy shrimp had the most flavor out of the other two. The rice and salad were great, it is white rice so keep in mind they do NOT have any other kinds of rice. Salad dressings and Salad were very delicious and fresh. The Shrimp all in all were outstanding, just needs more flavoring (obviously not overdo) Service was great, cashiers are very polite and the General Manager was there too, checked up on everyone to make sure we were all doing great. I forgot their name but they were very kind. Ambiance: now this is a good one, it is quite small although hopefully they get an upgrade on location size, we sat outside at the tables the tables out there were very clean and tighten up. As well as the tables indoors were very clean too. I read more

Delicious flavored shrimp. We ordered butter garlic and lemon herb. Its in a rectangular box with white steamed rice, salad on the side and shrimp on top of rice. Salad dressing and extra butter or lemon herb are in separate container. The shrimp size is large and cooked with its tail. I hope they add more shrimp for the cost/price of the meal. read more

Saw this restaurant here on the Yelp app. So, my wife and I decided to check it out. In short, it was outstanding! Awesome ambiance with music and decor, and amazing (amazing gets overused sometimes, but in this case it's on point!)!!!! The menu is small but oh so good. We both had the Coco shrimp. Absolutely great! We'll definitely be back to try the others. Thanks!!! read more

This place is amazing! I will definitely be coming back! Being that is next to a Popeyes, I figured it was another fast food place but this is really a nice place! My lemon pepper shrimp plate was only $12 but a huge portion of rice and salad too. They were super fast at lunch and my food was out before I was done using the restroom. Definitely a keeper for Denton! read more

The service was great. All the staff were smiling I try to go there at least once every time I am in town.

Unique menu. But the food was phenomenal. Definitely and place to go when in Denton. Food was fresh and came out quickly.

Yummy food! Quick and easy in and out service! Cute decor and tables with an aloha theme!

Best shrimp around Denton! The flavor was exquisite as was the rice and such a crisp fresh salad. Everyone was very friendly in a unique atmosphere. I plan many trips to Coco Shrimp. read more

When the Denton location first opened it was really good. I particularly loved the rice because of the texture and flavor. I ordered food today and the rice was gummy/starchy with no flavor. This was the same a couple of weeks ago, but I thought maybe it was an off day. Now, again today, it's the same. Not sure what has happened, but the quality has gone down. I may try it again or go to a different location. However, please do what you were doing when you 1st opened. read more

The best shrimp in Denton. Easy place to eat and take leftovers home. Plenty of space and cool vibe.

Look Yelpers, we gotta talk. Tried this place because of all the raving 5 star reviews but left incredibly disappointed. I'll give them this, the tacos were pretty good. They're the only reason this place gets any stars at all. We split the sampler with the spicy, lemon pepper, and garlic butter shrimp. They primarily tasted like salt on top of plain white rice. The spicy tasted like a weird buffalo sauce. Very underwhelmed. read more

We did on online pickup order. The food was ready very quickly (and restaurant was very busy, it was 7:15 on a Friday night). My husband and I each had a sampler and shared an order of tacos. (We both had leftovers of the sampler, it's a lot of food!) Every flavor of shrimp we tried was delish (Coco, Sweet&Spicy, Butter Garlic and Spicy) and flavorful. The buttered rice was tasty. The salad (which we easily ordered to be separate from the hot food for travel home) was a nice fresh side with a tasty poppyseed dressing. I'm very picky about my tacos and these were delicious from tortilla, to shrimp to sauces. Will definitely go again! read more

Amazing food. I just wish there was a Coco Shrimp location in Frisco or McKinney. An hour is way too far of a drive for fast food.

This is my absolute favorite place to get shrimp!! I love the garlic butter and the lemon herb flavors! The poppyseed salad dressing is amazing! Definitely recommend this place if you haven't already tried it! read more

This was our first time to dine-in and we will be repeat customers! The decor gives a Hawaiian vibe which is very cool (love the surf boards). The service was great, and the manager stopped at the table to see what we thought. The shrimp, salad, and rice were absolutely delicious. The portion size for me allowed leftovers the next day. I also really appreciated the effort to reduce waste. Your food is served in a wax-lined brown box with one utensil. The cups are plastic, reusable, recyclable, and NO straws- a big deal in Hawaii! The menu is not vast, but I respect restaurants that serve a few items and perfect what they offer. If you like shrimp, give them a try. read more
