Grabbed lunch to go. They forgot to include my dessert so only get 4 stars. I cannot tell you if that is good or not. The rice is a huge portion so order two extra garlic butter sauces. The shrimp was delicious. I do recommend eating the coconut first it's just yummy. The salad was good I only waited 30 minutes to eat so not sure if avocado turned brown fast due to the warmth of the food. I will be back to try again when I am in Denton. read more

First time trying this, I was curious after passing it so many times. Girl at the register was kind enough to explain the menu to me as a first timer. Fast ordering process with good service all around by all employees involved, if I had to have one complaint it would be parking around the area is a little tight due to the other restaurants nearby. Food was good and piping hot, gonna have to tell others if they are in the area to give this place a try, 5 stars easily. read more

Coco Shrimp - Coco shrimp sampler Coco shrimp, butter garlic and lemon herb - Seafood Near Me - Denton, Texas

Believe the hype, you're missing out if you haven't tried Coco Shrimp! The Coco Shrimp plate will definitely be my go-to here. There are spicy options if you're into that sort of stuff. Honestly I was worried I wasn't gonna get full eating shrimp but my goodness I left stuffed and didn't even finish my plate. With the plate you get your shrimp choice, white rice and salad. The poppyseed dressing was really good. Staff is friendly, owner is super nice. Music you would find in Hawaii was playing which was a treat. Atmosphere was casual and cool. read more

As a Hawaii transplant to TX (three years ago), I will say, this place is legit. The inside of the restaurant gives off a "North Shore" vibe and the taste of the butter garlic shrimp feels like I'm home in Hawaii. This was my first time here and definitely won't be my last! This was a good teaser for me as I will be going back home to Hawaii (annual visit) next week to visit family. read more

Delicious Shrimp sampler with your choice of three different shrimp flavors with a $3.50 shrimp taco! It was amazing!

They do one thing, and they do it perfectly! Seriously, if you like shrimp even just a little, this is an incredible lunch. Portion size is perfect, everything is insanely delicious (i can't break away from the coconut, but the other flavors are great, too), and OMG the grilled pineapple tastes like pie. Hope they'll open an Addison/ Plano/ Richardson location soon so I don't have to drive as far. read more

Never in my life would I have assumed I would love this place SO much!! I love the sweet and spicy shrimp the best, though all are good and fresh. The salad is "basic" but so light and refreshing (ginger dressing all the way!). Now, hear me out, I like rice, but it is never something I HAVE to HAVE. This rice is probably the best rice I've ever had...and if you add the cilantro lime dressing it takes it to a whole new level!! We eat here every couple of weeks now, we are hooked!! read more

I love the food!!! It's so fresh. The choices are great and customizable with more salad or more rice helps keep your portions just right.

Coco shrimp tacos are awesome! Fresh and with right mix of rice and lettuce with crunchy coconut battered shrimp on lightly crisp flour tortilla. We eat it twice a month and excellent every time. Service is great and ambience of Hawaii surfing is all around you including Iz music. Don't miss this place! read more

We LOVE their tacos, coco shrimp and sweet & spicy platters. The poppy seed dressing for the salad is our go to choice-- tangy and sweet. The rice portions are huge and so deliciously buttery. Robbie the manager even came by to check on on twice! Great service and great food. Second visit and excited to make many more! We've also had their garlic butter shrimp and lemon herb at the downtown FW location and you can't go wrong. Their breaded shrimp options for us however are the super stars. read more

Coco Shrimp - Sampler platter: spicy and coconut shrimp served up on a bed of garlic butter rice with a side cranraisin garden salad. - Seafood Near Me - Denton, Texas

It's shrimp ya'll.. coconut, spicy, garlic butter.. it comes in a convenient to go box. Half the box is filled with buttery rice, the shrimp nestled on top. The other half is salad! You can ask for more salad and less rice which is what I'd do next time. The fried options leave me too full but my favorites were the spicy and garlic! There are two dressing choices and the ginger one is good. The sauces reminded me of the spicy Mayo on a sushi roll. The dressing like that at a hibachi place! It's a little pricier than typical fast food but the quality is better. Whatcha waiting for? Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food! read more

Gone here twice and it's so tasty! I don't know how the hell they season their shrimp, but it's like they made a deal with the devil to get the tastiest shrimp ever. Try the shrimp tacos, you won't be disappointed. Oh, the service was great and interior was very cool, also!! read more

Wow! As soon as you can, you need to check out Coco Shrimp. Family and I were headed to another restaurant in Denton when we passed this place. Being from Hawaii, first thing came to mind was Kahuku Shrimp trucks on North Shore of Oahu. This was an excellent choice and glad we stopped here. I am a forever fan of this place. They also put a butter garlic sauce on the rice that will knock your socks off. The Regional Manager, Robbie, stopped by to check on us and was super nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place. Try it and you will thank me later! read more

The flavor, the staff, the vibe in the place it's all really good. I just have to be honest with the public. Me and my wife ordered 2 samplers to go, it was her first time so you know we had to get grilled pineapples too. Unfortunately we see this once we get home and unpack. It's the digestive tract (poop) of the shrimp was still inside. Ya need to clean y'all shrimp properly please. That's disgusting. read more

Tried this spot in Denton!!! OMG! The food is spectacular and the service impeccable. Josh at the register was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered the best recommendations. The manager, Robbie, was very visible and personable. He took the time to listen to the details of our experience. I tried the sampler and it was hands down the most flavorful shrimp I have had in a long time. The restaurant is clean, and the music sets the mood! We will definitely be back. read more

Coco Shrimp - The Sampler - Seafood Near Me - Denton, Texas

I think the shrimp was pretty good, but the rice itself was a little bland & I wasn't a huge fan of the cranberries in it either. I love that it comes with a little salad. Doesn't feel like a fast food establishment, but still very affordable! read more

I love their garlic butter that they put over the rice and shrimp. The food is simple yet amazing.

Great, the rice is so flavorful. I ordered in the parking lot bc didn't know what I wanted and it was fast too.

Coco Shrimp was great, and I am happy it is here in Denton/DFW. I am from Houston and I had all but given UP on finding a good shrimp place, especially one that sells my favorite Shrimp configuration: coconut shrimp! You order at the counter, and they bring you the food. Great shrimp- the size is big like you'd get on the Gulf- nice variety in sides, and HUGE portions. I would say get the plate first and go back up if you need more food, because they really give you your money's worth in rice & salad. They play fun beach videos on the TVs which adds to the "island beach shack" vibe of the place. Overall, I really appreciate this place & it had dope food. Visit if you love shrimp! read more

10/10 so wonderful, I am so sad to know there isn't one in San Antonio. After having five days straight of fried food in Oklahoma with my mom this food was a breath of fresh air. The value of what we paid for was excellent. I'm already looking for excuses to be in the area again solely to enjoy this lovely little restaurant. The staff was so kind and helpful. I love the interior design and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. read more

Coconut shrimp tastes fresh and is the the right amount of crunchy. Loved the flavor combo of sweet shrimp and salty rice. Fresh salad and dressing was a nice complement to the rest of the meal. Service was fine- you order up front - that's about it. The eatery is like a fast food place so ambiance fits that category. This place was clean and had some decent decor. read more
