Didn't know what to expect from this new little eatery. But I do like shrimp so I went in hopeful. I was NOT disappointed. The ambiance gives off a very hipster, California, surfer vibe. The gentleman at the register was super friendly and welcoming. And my food was prompt. I offered it to go as I had to return to work. I ordered their trademark coco shrimp tacos and I got the shrimp plate with sweet and spicy shrimp and lemon herb. The plate comes with a bed of garlic rice and a side salad. The tacos were off the chart!! Crispy and sweet and juicy on the inside. The sweet and spicy sneaks up on you with that sweet heat and the lemon herb was savory and tangy. Complimented with delicious rice and a salad full of cranberries that added another hidden sweetness!! I must try if you're ever in the DFW area.

Not bad! I think we both liked the tacos better. The glaze on the shrimp was a little sweet, but balanced nicely with the lime. Neither of us is a fan of shrimp, but we enjoyed this!!

This was was surprisingly good. The server recommended I try the trio which was really good. Even the rice was pretty flavorful. The cilantro lime sauce was my fav. The lady at the counter was very helpful with helping me decide!

Green point seafood and oyster bar is a seafood establishment in the Knox/Henderson area that is…read moreinspired by the sea port city of Cape Town, South Africa, where its owners, the Katz Brothers, grew up. I always see people sitting outside and eating here and it looked intriguing so I decided to try it one evening. For food we ordered the following: Cold Bar: -Smoked Whitefish Dip: this is a horseradish crème fraiche dip, with shredded smoked trout roe blended in, paired with fried serving chips. The dip was flavorful and the texture was lovely considering I've never tried a seafood infused dip like this before. Appetizers: -Roasted Oysters Rockefeller: these oysters are prepared in an unusual way as they are baked or broiled, served with creamed spinach, bacon, and parmesan bread crumbs. Verdict on these oysters is I expected more considering this restaraunt is supposed to be known for their oysters. In my opinion they lacked a bit of flavor, but it may be that I'm not used to eating oysters this way. Soups & Salads: -Seafood Gumbo: this is served with shrimp, jumbo lump crab, andouille sausage, green onion, and rice. I will say I know gumbo is typically pretty salty as a dish overall, but this gumbo was so especially heavy handed on the salt that I wish I had more rice to counteract the sodium levels. Overall however, it was definitely filling, so if you're okay with the salty taste I would definitely try it if you like gumbo. Dessert: -Key Lime Bar: this key lime bar made with graham cracker crust and meringue on top of a key lime filling was pretty great and genuinely solid as dessert choices go. Overall, I'd love to try this place again maybe for brunch and select different things because I think there is good potential despite some items being a bit of a miss for me the first time around.

The service was average - not the enthusiasm and welcoming culture that I thought was what elevated Pappadeaux's in prior visit. Here's the matter that will reduce the likelihood of a return visit - the electronic device used to pay and add a tip was nasty. Greasy and covered in fingerprints.

(Unsure about an accessible entrance, but would suspect they have one). We made a lunch reservation on Labor Day Monday, and glad we did cause they were busy! Terrell was our server and went above and beyond in service. Genuinely a kind and helpful person, and made our experience even better! He was helpful with suggestions on the menu, very attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. We had a wonderful experience and as usual, the food is amazing. We got shrimp cocktail for our app, perfectly cooked, so flavorful, and a perfect way to start the meal. For our meals we got crawfish étouffée, stuffed crab, and added a pan fried soft shell crab with our stuffed crab and a side of broccolini. Everything was so good, we left nothing behind. For dessert we got cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Different from regular cheesecake, so much more creamy and smooth. Absolutely delicious. Wonderful experience, excellent service, delicious food. Highly recommend coming here for a nice meal out!

My cousin ordered the Lobster Bisque, which I didn't get a picture of, but she said it was delicious. Next up were the Prime Meatballs with house steak sauce, and OMG! The meatballs were cooked to perfection, and that sauce was chef's kiss. It definitely complemented that warm house bread perfectly because, yes, I was dipping! For the main course, Blue Crab Stuffed Lobster Tails with parmesan mashed potatoes, asparagus, and lobster-sherry sauce. The entire plate was very pleasing, and the lobster tails were nice and meaty. I really enjoyed the crab stuffing paired with the lobster and sauce. Overall, this was a really good post-game Sunday meal. Great food, comforting flavors, and those meatballs and house bread were definitely standouts for me!
