Just had an order from door dash. Don't waste your money. The chicken katsu must have been in the oven for a week. Seriously, it's unbelievably bad. Makes you question the quality of the whole bowl in front of you. Never Again. Zero stars read more

It was expensive for the quality of meat you get. I got the Shoyu ramen and my girlfriend got a custom ramen and it amounted to $40. My pho was very salty and hers was overly spicy despite her getting a mild spice in the ramen. It was better than the other options open at the time but we were expecting a little more for the price. Friendly staff was a plus though. We got it almost before closing so maybe go before then and it may be better. read more

Amazing ramen. Super fresh and great flavors! Love their noodles and fresh veggies and toppings. If you think the ramen isn't that good you haven't found your flavor yet. I love the veggie ramen and the seasoned cabbage on top and my bf loves the Tonkatsu with pork belly. You have to try a few ramens to find your favorite. It's 100% worth a try! So good. read more

I'm very much not a soup/ramen guy- but every time I'm invited to come here it makes me rethink that opinion. If I'm asked where to find some good ramen I'll bring this place up without hesitation. read more

go here! super delicious flavorful ramen. noodles cooked perfectly, and great helpful caring staff! very happy with my experience here.

Great ramen, terrible service. Server forgot our drinks, and then gave our food to a different table, resulting in even longer wait. There was only 1 other table in the whole restaurant and 2 servers. Cocos really need to hire experienced servers or train their staff properly. Poor service takes away from the delicious food. read more

This small eatery requires some patience on a Friday night. It requires even more when you show up with 21 people at 8 pm. They found seats for all of us and managed to navigate the order. The rule that you can only split a check once is frustrating for a large group and is not a customer centered policy. We all had excellent ramen dishes and appetizers. The only complaint I heard was that the vegan broth was very salty. I highly recommend the grilled squid though. It was very tasty. The flavor of my miso broth with black garlic was incredible. I just kept wanting more and more broth. I would also note that in order to have tofu instead of meat in a ramen bowl it is a $2 up charge. How can tofu cost more than pork belly or chashu? I think the owner should fix some of his policies. They hurt the staff, tips, and customer satisfaction/retention. read more

I LOVE Coco's. The menu is deceptively uncomplicated, the space is cool, and the food is comforting and delicious.

Very pricey for what you get and every time I've had it I get an upset stomach, even when I switch around spice level, broth, and toppings. My friends love it here but I don't think I'll be coming back anymore unfortunately... read more

I must preface this review by stating that I'm spoiled by the best ramens in the greater LA area. Daikokuya is the gold standard for me and every ramen I eat is inevitably compared to it. As always, taste is subjective so YMMV. We ordered the homemade pork pot stickers as an appetizer which we did not care for and did not finish. They were visually unappealing, toothsome, greasy, and very bland. They also had a strange smell and we wanted them off our table before the ramen arrived so they wouldn't taint our main course. We ordered 2 bowls of tonkotsu ramen, one with pork belly and one with chashu. The "chashu" was dry and tough and both the pork belly and "chashu" were ruined by heavy 5 spice and cinnamon. The "chashu" and pork belly tasted like Chinese bbq which was very disappointing! The tonkatsu soup base was ok, but the 5 spice of the meat toppings made the soup less appealing and very much not like ramen. The ramen egg was over cooked and the yolk was dry, but the marinade was passable even though it was a little too sweet. The noodles had a nice chew and were the most pleasing part of the ramen. The bamboo shoots and black fungus were good traditional toppings and I was happy they were included. We added black garlic to our ramen and were surprised to see a $1 up charge for this on the bill because the menu made it seem like it was included in the price. Overall Coco's food was disappointing, a poor value and ultimately didn't scratch my ramen itch. I guess I will have to venture to Sacramento to find some decent ramen. read more

I'll start out by saying I am beyond thrilled that there is an authentic ramen place in Chico. I know there is one other place that serves ramen, but it's nothing I would recommend. Both times I've eaten here I've ordered food (by telephone) to go and it's been ready in 30-45 minutes. They are really busy, which is a great sign. The Tonkatsu and the Shoyu are both super flavorful. The first time I ordered mild and there was zero spice. The second time I ordered medium and it had a nice kick to it. Try it with the black garlic. The Chashu pork is tasty, but sweet, a read more

I love this ramen. Super delicious! And who knew you could wrap mochi in bacon? Chewy salty bacon-y! Yum

-5 stars this is just over priced top ramen!!!! Never will we set foot in that place again!!!!

Hairy pork belly? No thanks. Pay and tip before you get your food and service? Foolish. This place is awful and a waste of money.

Fairly good place! Out of two ramen spots In Chico I'd probably recommend this one. Nice service and nice little atmosphere! Tonkatsu ramen and tempura shrimp/veggies are worth it! read more

This is a small, clean place with friendly staff. I got the pork belly tonkatsu ramen with garlic and medium spice for take-out and I was NOT disappointed... The broth is delicious, although not as spicy as I expected (I'll try more spice next time). The pork belly is not crispy at all, but I'm not mad because it is tender and well seasoned. The egg had great flavor as well and I enjoyed the texture of the ramen itself. I will definitely be back. I am so glad to have found a ramen spot here in Chico! read more

I have waited a very long time for a delicious ramen place in Chico! My favorite is their tonkotsu. I've tried their seaweed ramen, curry ramen, pork belly appetizer, and fried chicken appetizers, not too impressed, but definitely came back twice for their tonkotsu ramen with extra pork belly! Yummy!! read more

the food was okay, but the owner was incredibly rude. cute place, but overpriced. wouldnt return

The ramen was good. Wish there were some extras like hot sauce to add in for more spice. Wait staff was friendly. The to-go orders looked just as full and well made as ours we got to eat at the restaurant. I hope they consider investing in some outdoor heaters since they made such a beautiful patio. read more

hands down the best ramen in chico! i'm so glad they opened this place. i've been waiting for an authentic ramen place to open up here. for appetizers, i got their yakitori (skewer) sausage. really good, small portion which was fine since the ramen made me really full! i ordered the tonkotsu ramen with pork belly, garlic, and medium spice. their spiciness levels are based on the average american tongue. their medium spice wasn't as spicy as i had hoped, so i'll definitely be getting their hot next time! the pork belly melts in your mouth and was super flavorful. i asked for togarashi but they gave me a different spice powder instead -- not complaining since it was still SO good! momona cannot even compare to this place (can't compete where you don't compare). save your money and eat at coco's! read more

Came for some ramen around 6:50 and was finally served around 7:40. We have been here before and the quality of the food is great. However, there was a lack of communication as to what was going on with our food that left us a little disappointed. Honestly, we will probably go back later on, but we hope things change until then. read more

I'm a student from LA who has had plenty of ramen prior to moving to Chico. So far, this is the only ramen place I've heard of in Chico and it tops every place I've been to in Los Angeles. The pork belly is a must-have, it literally melts in your mouth. Also, the hostess/waitress was super friendly and gave great recommendations, and the place was very clean and overall a great vibe. 11/10 would definitely recommend!! read more

I called Coco's Ramen at 6 pm on a Thursday, to place an order for pick up but was told over the phone that they are extremely busy. When asked for how long the wait was.. she said 45 mine - 1 hour. I told her I was ok with waiting. But then she corrected herself and said "it will be longer than an hour, maybe even more." I got the impression by her tone that she didn't want us to order at all. I'm extremely disappointed about customer service over the phone. I didn't end up placing an order with them. Giving them one star for their customer service. Will update review after I try their food. read more

I'm not sure why people are giving this place 5 stars. It's just ALRIGHT. I do have to say this place has way better ramen than Momono in downtown Chico. I had the tonkatsu ramen with pork belly. The broth was tasty but a little too oily. The pork belly needs to be crispier. Also I'd prefer more of the veggies it comes with in my ramen. OveralI probably won't be back unless I'm REALLY craving ramen since I've had a lot better. BUT it's pretty decent for Chico read more

Loved it! Way better THAT other place in town. This place actually has flavor. I got the tankatsu ramen and my boyfriend got the curry ramen. We also got two sides of appetizers: chicken gyoza and beef and onion skewers! Service time was quick. Everything was yummy and tasty. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Craving for Ramen today but since still not impressed with the other ramen place. Checked and found this new ramen place off of Nord. My husband and I came in at around 8pm, not too busy on a Friday night. We ordered takoyaki, which is just okay. We also got chicken wings, it was good. My husband ordered hot tonkatsu ramen with garlic oil. I ordered shoyu ramen with pork shoulder. Soup is rich and flavorful. Really a must try especially on a cold nights. read more

I have been waiting a loooong time for a real ramen shop to come to town. Today my wish was granted. Creamy, spicy, flavorful tonkatsu ramen hits the spot every time. Was left on hold for 10 minutes while I heard everyone order their meals. They said, "not too busy , not too slow. Right in the middle." Really?! Than why can't you pick up the phone? I came here with some friends and was impressed with how delicious everything was. It's very small and cozy, kinda a place where you might hear your neighbors conversations but the food is so good you won't even care. The tempura vegetables were perfect. They still had a little give to them and the batter was crisp. They were delicious. We also got the holiday special of 6 shrimp and I think I could have ordered 50 of them. They were light and cooked the way shrimp should. One of those things you burn your tongue on just because you can't wait to take another bite. The ramen. So much flavor. The noodles are the perfect consistency. So I got mine extra hot and the waitress was very informative that extra hot isn't like Thai hot, it's just a little spicy. To me it wasn't spicy at all, but the flavor was so good I knew I ordered right. I recommend this place. Best ramen place in town hands down. read more

Me and my boyfriend just ate here and we are both feeling sick afterwards. I got the curry ramen and the flavor was good, he got the seafood ramen and it was lacking in flavor, and the squid in it was chewy and weird. The appetizers were good so 2 stars. read more

Disappointing. Broth was overwhelmed with black pepper, made me choke on every try. Noodles were very top ramen basic. Shrimp was overcooked and had shells that dif not want to come off. I have been to cocos ramen before and loved their food. but didn't have the best service going. The girls working were always short and not really nice and didn't have the best customer service. This review is on the service I had tonight specifically. The service was horrible. I walked in at 8:44 exactly and the door was open still and the hostess looks up at me and says "oh sorry we are closed" I say, "Maps says you are open until 9:30??" and she says "yeah sorry we closed early tonight"(with no reasoning at all) I said "what time?" she said 9. I told her it was 8:45 and she kept saying the decided to close early tonight. This is not how you should treat a customer that wants to come in and give you their money. I am sick and didn't eat much today but was looking forward to my ramen. Never coming back here again the service was horrible. read more

Best ramen I've ever had! Many options, very accommodating and the customer service was so amazing and considerate

Ramen was ok. Incredibly overpriced. Water isn't free and they messed up our order despite only having a couple people in the dining room. I'm not one to typically complain about food service but when two bowls of mediocre ramen and water comes out to $50 (tip was automatically added at 18% I might add), I'm gonna be a little frustrated. I would have much preferred to make noodles at home. read more
