A small, family run ramen shop here in Chico. Of the three shops (Cocos, Momona, and Snow Man Ramen), this is by far the cheapest ramen in town. The ramen was just under $13 and I gotta say, for the price, it's pretty great. The Chashu has a good flavor. The broth is a standard pork broth; you could actually taste the pork, which is more than I can say for Momona's pork broth. The noodles were a little better than instant ramen noodles, nothing fancy. The egg white tasted fine, but they did hard boil the yolk, which was a bummer. Overall, the ramen was a 7 out of 10, which again is fantastic for that price. The server was a sweet lady who was quick with anything she did and friendly to talk to. Thank you guys so much!

So good! This is the best ramen spot in Chico. The spicy tonkotsu had the perfect amount of spice. It is a really big portion and lots of pork meat. We also had the gyoza which was really good. It seemed like a combination of deep fried and pan fried. I never had it like that before. I think our waitress was the owner. She was so nice and attentive to all the tables. You can tell she has a great work ethic. Tbe guy at the front desk seemed like he was learning but he was trying really hard! Everything was great :) The decorations in here were so cute. A nice little Japanese restaurant!

Cool little ramen place! The lady whom I assume owns the place is very nice as well! Here's a list of what we got: Gyoza Fried cream cheese wontons Wakame salad (seaweed salad) Miso ramen Tonktosu ramen My boyfriend loved his ramen (miso) and I had the tonkotosu which I liked. The miso broth was super flavorful, the tonkotsu was pretty good I just wish it was a little thicker of a broth. NOW THE PORK! That was absolutely delicious in both bowls so juicy and tender and they don't skimp out on the sizing! Overall a 10/10 place it will definitely leave you full. Will definitely come back!

I wanted a nice meal before class so I came in here for lunch and I'm so glad I did! Angela (the owner) is such a sweetheart. I think it's awesome that she runs the restaurant with her husband :) I really enjoyed the Spicy Tonkatsu ramen and veggie egg rolls. Delicious! read more

I was a harsh critic back then The more I go to snowman ramen, the more I think, it's not bad Me and my buddy went back today I got black garlic tonkotsu ramen and it was delish My buddy got shoyu ramen and he liked it We got shrimp fried rice shared and its a pretty standard fried rice, pretty good Nothing new, just a new mindset The ramen aren't bad, I just personally don't like pork belly. The meal was great If Cocos ramen is a 5, this would be a 4 since I still think Cocos is better with all the options and their presentation but snowman ramen isn't far off And I still stand by, if you want a cheap ramen at restaurant, snowman is the place to go read more

The broth for the chicken udon soup was very comforting and the pork was cooked and seasoned so delicious. Delicious vegetarian ramen, the broth actually had flavor unlike most places. My fiance loved the pork broth as well. The only disappointing thing was that the egg wasn't a fermented soft boiled egg like it should be but was rather just half a hard boiled egg. Definitely add the chili oil, they didn't put too much and added a nice flavor. (If you want to control the portion and add it yourself you have to pay extra for that which is so dumb). Also the place had no heat in the winter. It was just as cold as outside. I guess they're too cheap to give their guests some warmth.... Consider take out. Skip the eggrolls, just flavorless cabbage. read more

It's not the best ramen but is good in a pinch. Reasonably priced unlike Momona. I went for extra noodle and it was a good amount. Wife had the Miso Ramen and it was salty but good. Service was very attentive and food came out fast and hot. The restaurant wasn't very busy and it was quiet. Good place to read a book or browse your phone if you want. The lady working who I assume was the owner was very nice and refills were plenty which I appreciate! read more

Incredible Service and Delicious Ramen! I had such an amazing experience at Snowman Ramen! My wife ordered us dinner through DoorDash, and when I went to pick it up, I mistakenly left with just one bowl of ramen. I only realized the mix-up when I got home. I called the restaurant to explain and asked if I could come back to pick up the other bowl. Not only were they super understanding, but they also went above and beyond by giving me an extra bowl of ramen for free! Their kindness and generosity truly made my day. The ramen was absolutely delicious, but their incredible service is what really stood out. This is the kind of place that genuinely cares about its customers. I can't recommend Snowman Ramen enough--amazing food and even better people! read more

Snowman ramen was not good. It was worse than Coco's ramen which I also didn't care for. Just like Coco's ramen, snowman ramen was a poor Chinese facsimile of Japanese ramen. The predominant flavor was Chinese five spice. The noodles were serviceable, but the chashu tasted strongly of five spice which also made the broth taste predominantly of five spice. The broth was under seasoned and mostly tasteless even after adding soy sauce. The egg was not marinated and was hard boiled instead of a jammy yolk. The chashu was tender, but completely failed on taste. I will not be going back again. I have yet to find good ramen in Chico. Obviously YMMV, but if you are expecting Japanese ramen at either Snowman or Coco's you will be disappointed. I'm sorry to both restaurants for leaving such negative reviews, but they both missed the mark by a mile. I wish them good luck. read more

Good food. Amazing broth, tender pork and good noodles. I suggest you as for no chili oil because it is a bit oily. The owner told me to ask for garlic chili sauce next time. I ordered the Tonkotsu (pork) ramen spicy. It was spicy and delicious. My daughter got the not spicy version and we both loved it. With A hot green tea the bill was $32. Not bad read more

I tried their ramen and had the odd experience that I was eating what reminded me of Chinese beef soup noodles. I spoke with the waitress to find out that this place used to be a Chinese restaurant and the staff are all Chinese. I really wish I could have tried this place when they were still making authentic Chinese food, but I understand the owner's decision considering the high overhead cost for running a Chinese restaurant. read more

I got the miso ramen and my partner got the Tonkotsu ramen. Both were absolutely delicious. I was surprised by the amount of pork we got in each bowl. It was probably 5 pieces and the slices were thicker than any other ramen place I've been to (also very yummy). I was also very satisfied with the price, my bowl was $12.95 and a decent size (I had to take half to go). Our waitress was super kind and very helpful, and the food came out super quick. Our favs have been the Japanese Tacos, Gyoza, Sushi Sampler Plate and any number of rolls. The side salad with the Wasabi dressing has always been and is still delicious! Every place can have an off day or item but the last two visits leave us looking for other options. The sauce for the Japanese Tacos has become so spicy hot we've had to have them hold it - something's changed there. The gyoza (2 orders for one person and one order for the second person were all served on the same plate, forgivable but they were bland and the sauces were spilled when the waitress set them down. The Sushi sampler contained "room temp", not cold raw fish and was literally flavorless AND the rice tasted old and chalky. I tried the spicy tuna roll the month before and I could not eat it. It was flavorless and warm. Our last visit's service was very poor. Had to ask more than once for the basic wasabi and ginger. Then we had to ask for our beverages again halfway through our meal. Used to be awesome but this is two poor experiences in a row. I've been enjoying Japanese cuisine throughout California my entire life and this just wasn't worth it. The place is also loud and rushed.

My kid had the tataki and it was the same story there, super fresh and gone in about thirty seconds. We also had the Gilroy (yum) Japanese Cowboy, Red Dragon, Hibachi Sunset and Lotus Cobra. The Lotus Cobra is one of those rolls you order once and then it just becomes part of your future. The ambiance is probably my favorite in Chico. It's one of those places where you can have a great meal and some top tier people watching at the same time. Service is always solid, friendly without being fake, and everything from the dining area to the bathrooms is consistently clean. I'll just say it... I wish we had a place like this back on the Mendocino Coast. Until then, this is always going to be my Chico sushi stop. If you like fresh fish, good energy and a place that just feels dialed in, Rawbar is hard to beat.

Jamie and Tino were awesome and we had so much fun. Everyone had the hibachi dinners and fried rice and the food was delicious. Additionally, getting to see it cooked in front of you is a really cool experience. I had the chicken as well as the tempura sweet potato sushi roll and will absolutely be returning the next time I'm in town!

This is the best Ramen place in Chico! The food is really good! I had potstickers which were delicious and crispy and Tonkotsu ramen which was yummy and flavorful and really big I had to take a lot home. The owner is so sweet and the best waitress. She was very attentive to anything we needed and even opened the door for us when we left. Check it out! Update: I made my review while I was leaving the restaurant but when I got home I saw our amazing waitress packed our leftovers with cardboard to make sure it was stable and didn't fall over and she double bagged it incase, so it wouldn't spill out!! read more
