What can I say about CoCo. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It has a dark vamp vibe to it. The check in process is simple and seating seems to be from the bottom up. I had a seat on the upper floor and to me it seemed a bit crowded in the space. So much so that my table was directly against the table next to me that made it seem like we were at a 4 person table instead is 2 seaters. I intentionally reserved an evening slot because like most people I saw many videos on social media that praised the lively atmosphere in the evening. I think the experience shown on social vs reality were very different this night. There was a man playing the guitar and a waman singing who walked around and interacted with the crowd but it was nothing compared to the videos I had seen of people singing and dancing that made me want to try this place. The food is another area of disappointment. I had Smoked Salmon with herbs to start, followed by Lobster Ravioli, Lamb chops with some sort of penne pasta side, with the café gourmand and a chocolate pudding type situation for dessert. The salmon did not seem the freshest but it was fine. Small pieces the price of 30€. The lobster ravioli was disappointing. You only get about 3 small ravioli for 32€. It lacked any substantial flavor. Giada serves a large pate with amazing flavor at her restaurant for 37€. The lamb was also very minimally flavored and just not worth the price. The best thing I had was the pasta that came with the lamb. That was delicious. The desserts were basic desserts. Nothing to write home about. The wait staff are friendly and attentive so I give them points for that. Although if I were them I would have management speak with some of the staff about personal hygiene. Not here to feed into stereotypes but if you know where I'm going with this then you know what I mean. Afterwords I didn't have anywhere to be yet so I went downstairs to the bar area. It was nearly closing time but the bartender served me anyway. A few of them were kind enough to recommend me some places to go out as well. Overall, I think you're paying for the name, the internet fame and general ambience. I do not think the food is worth the price based on flavor and portion. This is a typical "fancy" restaurant that is set up to appear very high class and bougie but in my opinion it's an overpriced restaurant with pretty ceilings and seating. If you're trying to impress someone it's perfect for a date. If you're a foodie who likes to get what you pay for, personally this isn't it. read more

Located on the same grounds as the Opera house of the Palais Garnier is this ultra swanky and trendy place. It's a restaurant that wants to be a night club. Glamorous clientele and lots of half dressed women. The decor and atmosphere are romantic but the dance music pumping in is a little too loud to have an actual conversation. The front of house staff was a little off key in service. Points off for bread service where bread was brought to the table without any dishes? Why? so that you can get crumbs everywhere and nowhere while having nowhere to place your bread? But the actual food and drinks are above board. We ordered roasted scallops and the lobster pasta. The scallops were perfectly cooked and served with a delicious velvety smooth pumpkin puree. Although this dish was quite small for a main course. Suited dor the lighter appetite and the fashion modwl clientele. The lobster pasta was more substantial and the lobster itself was perfectly cooked, the fresh linguine was al dente and the broth was rich and flavorful. Really solid dishes. We shared an order of profiteroles for dessert the profiteroles had a thin chocolate disc that sat on top and was supposed to have melted when the chocolate sauce was poured on top. Unfortunately the chocolate sauce wasn't quite hot enough to melt the chocolate disc. Hence lessening the dramatic effect intended... It was still good though. Since the profiteroles where fresh and the ice cream wafer that sat on the bottom of the dish was of high quality. So the lack of drama wasn't a total loss. Although perhaps warming up the container for the chocolate sauce may help the situation. Lastly the cocktails are definitely peak in quality and craftsmanship. Do not waste your time or money in this extremely poorly managed place. The only good about it is the decor in bar area. The restaurant is chopped up and depending on the fools at the host station you will get seated in small tables in walkways. The influencers at the table next to us had things floating in their drinks that they sent back. The appetizers looked pathetic. Our drinks never arrived so after 20 minutes we left. Luckily found an absolute gem of place down the street for an amazing dinner. Will review them next. Lastly the entertainment videos they show online is false. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance is definitely upscale. Drinks are good, service was good, and our waiter was one of the nicest waiters I have ever met! Inclusively the guests in the table next to us were very rude to him and he handled it so well and remained respectful. Service was quick. The exception is that for the price and what it is the food was not at the same level. It wasn't bad, it just was not at the level it should be. I ordered the lamb and it didn't not come out like a freshly cooked sizzling lamb - it was dull. My son ordered the chicken and he gel the same way. CoCo was recommended to me by my coworker, so I made a point to check out the restaurant when I was in Paris. I tried to make reservations online, but their system kept giving me an error message. I took a chance on getting a table for brunch. My boyfriend and I arrived around 12:30pm on a Saturday. The place was pretty busy, and they did ask if we had reservations. I explained how I wasn't able to make one online, but they were able to accommodate us at a seat in their upstairs area. Customer services was great. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and the food came out quickly, Everything I tried was amazing. I ordered the burratina arugula salad with raclette croutons and burgundy truffle shavings, which I enjoyed. The salad was simple and clean, and it tasted very fresh. There was clear discrimination at the restaurant. I was wearing an elegant outfit from a prestigious Italian brand -- a sequined jacket and luxurious tailored pants from Brunello Cucinelli. Despite having a confirmed reservation, they refused to let me in solely because I am Arab. With a look of disdain, the hostess told me, "Go change your pants at Zara." Just received an email from the restaurant today (June 21st) that our reservation was canceled because the restaurant company booked the venue out for a private event. CoCo is a great restaurant for a girl's lunch. The restaurant is very pretty, and has a lot of windows so great lighting. The service was excellent. Our server was very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious! For an appetizer, we had the croque monsieur which is a very small appetizer but quite tasty. For an entree, I had the beef sirloin and fries. My beef was cooked to my satisfaction, and enjoyed every bite. I would come back to CoCo for lunch, especially when it's nice outside. I would love to try their dinner menu as well. read more

Beware of this restaurant's deceptive practices: At my pre-wedding dinner, I was overcharged €700 as part of a deceptive tipping scheme--a practice that appears common at CoCo, as other reviews show. Despite multiple assurances from various levels of management that I would be refunded, they failed to return my money after months of empty promises. When I escalated the issue to VISA, CoCo submitted falsified receipts and fabricated proof of a wire transfer that never reached my account. Their manipulation of the situation was very elaborate, involving all levels of management. The dishonesty and refusal to correct their 'mistake' speaks volumes about their lack of integrity. I strongly advise caution when making any payments here. Their willingness to deceive both customers and financial institutions should not be taken lightly. Should anyone be dealing with the same, I do have proof of my experience and direct contacts at upper management at CoCo / The Paris Society to share. I went for dinner last year and the ambience is amazing! They have a live band who plays and the go around the whole restaurant. The food was delicious and the interior is very cute, girly, gatsby vibes. Make sure to ask for tap if you don't want to be charged for the water bottles. I went more recently for brunch and it was a lovely view to sit outside. Only thing is that it was hot. There are seating areas with shade so make sure if you don't like the sun or to stay a little cooler to ask for shade. So we went here for our 7 year wedding anniversary. The food was so good that we convinced our friends to come back two days later for lunch. They agreed!!! The starters alone made me fall in love with the place. I could have had the ceviche and the smoked beef all day long. The cod gnocchi was elegant and delicious. Delicious. My Muslim Arabic family are frequent travelers that have been to many Michelin Star restaurants around the globe. This was by far the worst restaurant staff that they have ever encountered. They felt that the host (oversized male with pony tail) and hostess (blonde lady) were -to say the least- discrimintagly unwelcoming of them from the moment they arrived. They greeted them badly and spoke to them rudely. Then they chased them to their outdoor table, insisting that my elderly father removes his cap despite of the sun heat outside, saying mockingly that it's impossible for him to be in the restaurant looking like this, and making a scene infront of the remaining guests. If you're a formal restaurant, teach your staff first to act formally and treat your guests with respect equally, regardless of thier diffrrent cultural backgrounds. read more

I recently dined at Coco with my family during our vacation in France. We had a disappointing experience with the food and service. My daughter ordered a simple dish of pasta with butter, which arrived ice cold. And I order a linguine pasta same story.We politely informed our waiter, who initially agreed to replace it. However, the manager, Pavlo, intervened and declined to replace the dish, making a scene and almost forcing the food down my throat to finish it. He was also being very disrespectful to my wife, causing an overall nasty situation. I told him I dont want credit I want to have a nice dinner which he didn't seem to care about and was ok with service me Ice cold pasta. It's essential for any restaurant to prioritize customer satisfaction and handle such situations with professionalism and empathy. Which is the exact opposite of how Pavlo treated us. If you're in Paris and happen to see this restaurant make sure to avoid it at all cost especially Pavlo. read more

CoCo is super fancy and has incredible decor. It also has a really awesome cocktail bar. The food is expensive and not on par with other restaurants at the same price point. My wife and I went here for lunch after going to the Palais Garnier. My wife ordered the beef tartare and I ordered a fish dish with some sort of spicy sausage and tomato based sauce. The flavours in the fish dish did not go well together and I didn't really enjoy eating it. The beef tartare was quite good. It was flavourful and had really nice presentation - a lot better than the beef tartare we'd had at another restaurant the week before. I think we paid 8 euros for a bottle of still water. If they ask you if you want water, just ask for tap. It's a good place to bring a date to or get cocktails from. Great for instagram and pictures in general. Three stars. read more

We skipped the entrées and went straight for the main dishes: rotisserie chicken, lamb chops. The mains were each respectively accompanied by mashed potatoes and oven-baked small potatoes. We washed it all down with a few glasses of Perrier Jouet champagne. We shared churros w/ vanilla & chocolate sauce for dessert. Everything was exceptional and flawless. The chicken was perfectly browned with tender meat slipping off the bone and a nice demi-glaze that didn't affect the crispness. The lamb was pink where it should be and deliciously soft. The ambience was calm and posh with individual booths giving tables the ability to eat and chat in their respective parties until one big party was provoked with the sounds of a guitar from above. A private party upstairs ascended the staircase with a guitarist, a saxophone player, a man on the bongos and a lovely female lead singer. While the dishes are on the pricier side we shared a bunch of things with glasses of wine and it was under 50 euro per person in a group of 4. First, the positive. We ate on the terrace, which is truly beautiful. Next, the neutral. The food was nice but not exceptional. Third, the negative. Two aspects there. First, my daughter is lactose intolerant, and therefore requested pommes frites (French fries) in place of mashed potatoes with the chicken. Absolutely impossible, an outrageous request. This even though the mashed potatoes came in a separate little pot; they were not integral to the preparation. Second problem, the waiter put his face in ours and demanded a tip. Friends and I we're so excited to try. The atmosphere and drinks were wonderful (drinks were pricy, €18). The service was the first thing that was odd. Our waitress had a bad experience with another table and was immediately hostile and rude to us the entire time. Then the food was mediocre at best. They served us chicken not properly prepared (and dry), and we ordered medium rare steak that had a section that was entirely raw. We pointed it out to her and she told us that "medium rare in France is more rare than other places and that we should have gotten medium," which is bullsh*t as someone who has spent a lot of time in France, and someone else at the table had lived in Paris. It was overwhelmingly expensive for underwhelming food and horrific service. Don't waste your money. read more
