I had a lovely time at the Coco Palm celebrating a late Mother's Day during their weekend brunch buffet! The service was IMMACULATE! The food was very good. My favorites were the paella, prime rib, and chilled crab legs. So so so bomb. The shrimp in the paella was super dry though so I opted for the chilled shrimp. For dessert, I had the flan, cheesecake, and chocolate covered strawberries. The flan was okay, the cheesecake was amazing, and the chocolate covered strawberries were okay. Really beautiful views. It's hard to find classy places to eat in the IE. This was a really lovely restaurant with yummy food. I had the salmon and my husband had the pollo asado. The drinks were really fun and so delicious. The food is reasonably priced. I was blown away by how cute this place is their is some chair scuffed up and the bathroom isn't like the best but the view is cute and I really liked the how the table was set me and my husband ordered drinks first I got a non-alcoholic drink cause I'm pregnant it was the passionfruit very good and my husband said the mojito was super good he got a second one, we started with empanadas and some bolas de carne, they were absolutely delicious our entrees I got the sea bass and my husband got the parrallada de carne both of our plates were delicious I never tasted something like it in a very good way, at the end I was a little disappointed server was a little slow but understandable because they don't have buss boys or girls to clear the table the servers do it I made a reservation on OpenTable requested a table more private, also said it was my husbands birthday they did not offer any type of dessert, and their was a huge convention going on and it was super loud but honestly the food made up for everything it was so delicious! read more

The drive up or inside was really cute. The valet is 8 bucks and they take venmo, cash and zelle = THIS IS AMAZING FOR US WHO DON'T CARRY CASH!! We walked in and a young lady was on the phone and the other helping out another party! I will say they were not very friendly, more like, what do you want attitude instead of saying "Hello - I'll be right with you"! We waited a few minutes while the first girl was on the phone and did not acknowledge us, the second young lady came and said "can i help you" - she pointed us in the right direction. We were guest to a company party that was happening in their dining room! It was very spacious and the outdoor patio was super cute. We took tons of pictures. Now lets move on to the food - THEY HAD AN AMAZING CHOICE FOR BUFFET!!! We had a garden salad, fruit, mac salad, potatoes, chicken, beef, shrimp & more food I have no idea what its name is. The best dessert! I loved the cheesecake with multi layers of whipped cream and chocolate crust. Served with a side of fresh fruit. Our dinner included sides of Cuban maduros plantains. They were really tasty and I do not normally eat them. My family makes them and I grew up with access to them. The chicken dinner with mashed potatoes was delicious. My company had a Christmas party at Coco Palm. I have never been there and didn't know what to expect. We had a private room that overlooked the entire Pomona area. It was an amazing view when the sunset and such a beautiful ambiance to take pictures. We spent the first hour taking pictures and enjoyed the view. As the sunset, that's when the party begin indoors. our private room was perfect for a party of 60 people. We were secluded from the rest of the restaurant. So it was quite intimate. Our company hosted open bar as well. So everyone had a great time. Service was great! The staff at Coco was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. For company party, most of the time the food doesn't come out fresh and tasteful. However, we had surf and turf with mash potato and veggies. I was amazed at how fresh and hot my lobster came. It was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. For a company food, I was quite impressed. The appetizer was delicious as well. Even the cesar salad had a good amount of shredded cheese. So overall I was very happy with my meal and enjoyed my bonding time with my colleague. Overall, I was impressed with the service, food, and ambience. I took my wife here for our Anniversary, as i had never been here before. By the time we left, i was asking myself why it took so long to try this restaurant! We had great service and they sat us at a window seat with a great view from above Pomona Valley. We ordered a couple Martini's and started with an amazing appetizer of Chicharrones over slices yucca. Crispy outer crust covered in a sweet caramelized glaze and inside was mouth watering tender pork! I ordered the Rabo Encendido ( ox tail) that was the best ive ever eaten. My absolute FAVORITE restaurant! I'm so happy they stayed open even though Covid happened, because this place is everything! They have a ton of gluten free and vegan options. You can also ask the waiter to see about making slight adjustments to the meal you have. My favourite thing from there is the plantain, baked chicken and steamed vegetables. I am in complete awe of this place. I had the most amazing dinner experience with my girls at Coco Palm. The ambiance of this place was lovely, it had modern decoration and the views were so beautiful during the sunset and at night. Our waiter was named Luis and he was spectacular. Christmas company dinner. Many different rooms for private small and large gatherings. Service was excellent. The staff was dressed professional. Very elegant romantic ambience. The bar area is small and intimate. The outside view is amazing. There's different patios so if people want to get some fresh air and look at the view you can do that. There's a perfect spot to have a wedding while the sun's going down. I pretty much had a great time. I think it's excellent for private events. Food was delicious. Restrooms need to be updated. If you want to impress a date or someone new in town for the first time and want to show them the view and the lights of the city and willing to pay for pricey food, sure. There is also Havana, in El Monte. might not have a view, but great Cuban food, with free bread. Recommendation: at least have a house appetizer, ie bread/chips. read more

Have you ever been driving down the 10 from LA on your way to Palm Springs and looked over to see a cool looking building on the hill with all the lights? That's Coco Palm. And it intrigued me for a long time. It was either going be good or it was going to be terrible. It was terrible. I picked a kind of special occasion to go there, which was unfortunate. The service was laughably bad. Someone at the table right next to us dropped their water glass and it shattered. That broken glass sat there throughout our whole dinner. Although servers saw it, not one came to pick it up. Wild! In short, it was expensive, the food was not great, my drink was way too sweet but no one ever asked me about it so I never got to try something else, and the service was nonexistent. Let it live in your brain but don't actually go there. ALSO, because I'm not a monster I did send an email a few days later letting them know about the service because I hate to put a local spot on blast. We came to order food we get our food home it's freaking dried out plantain, overcooked, shrinkage so must have been old, beans was $8 dollars but they gave us juice barely any beans. Very little veggies unlike usual they do better if you dine in.. This is unacceptable and terrible food service why even serve the plantain. We added the side beans and rice, plantain we just get beans no plantain or rice. We got soup not black beans, over cooked food, thin pieces of salmon and dry... We order this so we know how and what we should get. It's really unfortunate because I had to get a rice in order to get my food so now I'm stuck. Went here for a seminar. This venue is absolutely beautiful. Great for large party, wedding reception and any occasions. We had fillet migbon along with Caesar salad and cheesecake for dessert. Other guests had grilled salmon and it looked pretty decent. Tithe steak was pleasantly tender and not over cooked at all.
