The drinks were probably the best thing. But, everything was pretty good. Exploradora - 3.7 The calamari was good, the croquettes were good. The empanadas were good. No complaints the exploradora was a nice way to start the meal. Parrillado de Carne 3.5 This was a platter of meat. It was so many different cuts that it was cooked a little inconsistent. But, it was still nice and we did enjoy it. Paella Valenciana 3.3 Of course, the seafood was nice. They had some big shrimp that was cooked nice in there. I like the crab meat that came with it. It was missing the crunchy texture of the bottom of the rice, but it was still enjoyable. Drinks - 4.5 I thought both drinks were really enjoyable.

Finally revisited Coco Palm after 10 years. In fact, I completely forgot it existed as if I'd never been. Anyway, it was good to be back because my friend and I were in mood for brunch, but didn't want to wait until Sunday to go to our usual spot. Well, I think this is going to be our new usual spot moving forward now. There's a great selection of items to choose from, but my favorite that I kept loading up on every time I got up were the oxtails. I LOVE oxtail and it was so delicious here. Very tender and flavorful. The prime rib here is cooked perfectly to my preference. The outer part of it was packed with flavor and salt which I love. Yes, it's a bit salty but the rest of the meat is pretty neutral in flavor, so it's a nice balance in my opinion. Huge fan of the chicken noodle soup too. It's simple and reminds me of homestyle cooking. Very comforting! I could use a bowl right about now. I especially liked that the crab legs were already cut in half. I hate working for my seafood. The shrimp was also the ez peel type, so you can just peel the shell right off instead of having to dig into each one. Service was great. I forgot bro's name, but he was friendly and pleasant to talk to. The views were amazing (obviously). I enjoyed watching the traffic flow on the 10. Only downside is that it's valet ONLY and at the time of this review, it was $8. Anyway, at $47 per person this was absolutely worth it. Great selection, delicious food, nice views. What's not to like? I will be back in the near future for sure!

I wanted to take my daughter to a nice sit down dinner date and wanted a view. You will be better off inside than outside to enjoy this view away from the busy freeway noise and if you're not tall enough, good luck enjoying a view looking above the patio rail. The food was deliciously prepared. Our salmon and steak was juicy and not dry. The yucca fries paired with the garlic dip was soo good. Our service was attentive and food came perfectly timed to satisfy our hunger. I'm looking forward to trying their Paella next time. And Brunch as I was told is great here on saturdays and sundays. Reservations highly recommended for the brunch. Great food and service and would not mind coming back to try more.

Been told that the Churrasco @cocopalmrestaurant is really good and I am glad I tried. This Churrasco consists of: Charbroiled Angus Skirt Steak, yuca mashed potatoes, chimichurri Arroz Con Pollo: Chicken shimmered with Saffron Rice, Sweet peas, roasted pimientos

Food is pretty tasty. Valet only for parking $8. Came for a retirement party. Live music travels from room to room. Service was friendly.

This was an ok place overall . I wish it was better as it has a lot of potential, but it did not do justice. The food was bland and the service was not good. They did not pay attention at all. We asked for napkins, straws etc twice and never got them. They never checked in to see if we needed anything the entire time. The restaurant overall was outdated . Older everything. The windows were not clean, bathrooms were dirty , and food was nothing to impress. I won't go back here and will not recommend anyone

The food here was really good! I really enjoyed the tomahawk steak. It came out a little burnt on the outside when we ask for medium. They were really good about redoing our steak and when they came back out with it, the doneness was perfect. The empanadas were also good and the drinks were yummy! The server kept coming back to check up on us. The restaurant was not as busy when we came in for lunch, it was quiet and it left us a lot of time to have good conversations.

Customer service is top notch!! Just an fyi- You do need to dress appropriately at this restaurant. The food & drinks were good, but not great, with the exception of the clams! My 1st complaint I have is: the clams made me sick, I bit into one & it tasted awful, on the way home my mouth was hurting on the side I bit into the clam, I went to sleep when I got home but the next day my whole cheek was swollen & throbbing. I researched about these symptoms & found out some clams & shellfish can make you sick with numbness & pain. It's called Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning, not sure if this happens often but def won't ever order clams again! My 2nd issue or complaint was, we were seated on the patio & there was a wedding happening at the same time we were seated & the wedding party was going up & down the side stairs & some of the wedding party almost fell down the stairs at some point & the mic announcements were so loud we couldn't hear much of our own convos. We did have a party of 11, which is why we needed a bigger table. You will need reservations for this restaurant as well. We did have a good time & service was great! Prob won't be back but was a nice evening.

This was my second time to dine in Coco Palm . It's a beautiful restaurant seated on top of Pomona hills. The view at night was fantastic. The service was good. The food we ordered was delicious. Started with fried calamari and lectin pork belly with yucca . Our main entree's were Pork Lechon Braised oxtail Filet mignon Black Angus strip steak Avocado salad For dessert the cheese cake and chocolate lava cake. Overall it was a very nice, tasty meal.

Truly truly recommend this place customer service the cleaning list quick to be seated always make reservations. Been bringing my wife here for the past 10 years and we love it for a regular date night to a anniversary celebration. Always delicious food. Get the pleasure to see a lot of weddings, parties being hosted. Keep up the good work guys stay blessed.

EXPLORADOR

Came here Tuesday afternoon with my girlfriend. The place was not packed, dam near empty. The ambiance is nice, had an overview of the city and highway. Our server was very attentive and came often to check on us and fill our waters. But the biggest problem of this place, is the chef and his dishes. I had ordered the explorador appetizer that comes with a variety, of calamari, fried octopus, empanadas and plantain chips. But the fried foods were super soggy, not hot, and lacked seasoning. Then came my entree (35 minutes after I received my appetizer), the paella valenciana, this dish consisted of saffron rice, with mussels, clam, squid, shrimp, scallops, chicken, pork, chorizo, and maduros. The presentation was not the best. But I found the courage to try it. First off there was barely any rice. Secondly when I ate the clam and mussels, I got a mouthful of sand that was cracking left to right while chewing. Thirdly the shrimp was pathetic since some of them had shells and some were peeled, not to mention the shrimp was like bitting a piece of gum. Fourth, the maduros was just depressing, dry, and rubbery. It's a shame that even Porto's bakery does a better job for a cheaper price. Last of all the dish was lacking a tremendous amount of seasoning. After our meal, my girlfriend's stomach started to feel sick and she ended up throwing up. And I got a headache from it. So I would highly advise that you take careful consideration of what you eat from this restaurant because clearly a lot of their food is not fresh at all.

We ordered a cafe con leche, iced hot coco, a variety of empanadas, lechon fries, a side of plantains, and their signature Cuban sandwich, and every single bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made to order. The portions were generous (perfect for sharing), and while everything is prepared fresh, it's absolutely worth either ordering ahead or kicking back with one of their delicious drinks while you wait. The service was beyond excellent. Denise, the owner, was incredibly kind and made the experience extra special for our family. Her husband is the talented cook. She even took the time to teach my daughter how to make Cuban coffee, which made the visit so memorable. I'm so glad we found this place. If you're craving authentic, fresh Cuban food, this is it. Even if it's a bit of a drive, make the trip, bring your people, order a spread, and turn it into a feast. We can't wait to come back!

As a server in the restaurant industry for years, just a heads up, good food takes time, so be patient, in my opinion, the prices are not overly expensive. Good food done right is gonna cost a little more.. Period. Servers kept walking past our table without checking in and honestly looked kind of lost or wandering around aimlessly. Luckily they keep water pitchers on the tables already filled, which now makes perfect sense considering how long it takes to get service. Smart move on their part. I ordered the avocado toast with a side of bacon, and my husband ordered the chorizo skillet. The coffees and my food came out quickly, but his never did. Instead, we watched an older server walk around the restaurant with his skillet and bacon, stopping at multiple tables asking if it belonged to them. Twice she set it down at other tables before being told it wasn't theirs. The third time, she finally brought it to us. That seems like it should be a health issue, what if someone else had stuck their fingers in it not knowing. By then, my husband didn't even want it anymore because it had already been sitting in front of other people. To their credit, they remade it, but then we waited another 15 minutes for his food while I had already finished eating. We actually watched another couple sitting next to us get so frustrated because their order was completely forgotten. After waiting forever with no food and barely any acknowledgment, they eventually just got up and left. Overall, cute spot and really good coffee, but the service was incredibly disorganized and the food mix-up was a huge turnoff. Unfortunately, we won't be back.
