However 2 people with absolutely conviction of "IDGAF about your opinion I want my C3M dessert" got it anyways. Per these 2 people: IT'S SO GOOD, I LOVE MY C3M (not an exact transcript). So my take is don't discourage people from getting what they want, let them taste it for themselves. Also go with your gut get what you want screw what other people say. This review is useless. Cendol (pandan jelly aka green wormy looking thing). Coconut anything. And this dessert have them all... Sort of. While I am very satisfy with my Hot Luu. I am frowny face with my Cendol. Well they advertise it to be "signature pandan jelly" they never explicitly said it's cendol but I cannot help but compare and WISH it was properly made cendol. It lack a certain springiness. Their SPJ is FLAT which is not the wormy shape of the cendol which is to me the reason why it's not as fun to eat. Zero bounciness. So sad. Flavor wise the dessert was good. I am very passionate about my cendol so I am sad but you know it's ok. Service wise, they were nice in a normal way. They made the dessert pretty fast too. Price wise super cheap, imo. Mine was under $5 and I felt like I was eating and eating, no end in sight. Side note: I am very mad and upset with some of my friends for mixing their desserts before everyone got theirs THUS accumulating to me not getting a giant picture of all our desserts together. Though the storefront of Coco Leaf isn't wide, the space runs deep and is pleasantly spacious. Place your order at the counter - they accept credit cards - and wait for your number to be called for pick up. Though not abundant, seating is available at a number of tables as well as at a large communal table with bench seating. Courtesy water is available in the back, beneath which is a bin for you to stack your dishes and silverware. There's also a yellow bin of games laid out for the fun and leisurely. The staffer at the counter was helpful, not only verbally describing the additional 3 savory crepe options not currently listed on their printed take-out menu, but letting me know that the crepe was rather large when I was considering adding an order of their $5.50 popcorn chicken. The Thai Crepe $6.50 (Roasted chicken, Thai basil pesto, hard boiled egg, tomato and romaine) was tasty and filling. The crepe itself mostly tender though crisp along the edges, the hard boiled egg more tender and soft than I'm used to (in a good way), but the tomato sadly pallid. I noticed after the fact that they had not strictly enforced their 1pm rule (their take-out menu states that savory crepes are served till 1pm, and sweet after 1pm) as it turned out that I had arrived for lunch a bit after due to my search for parking in busy Fields Corner. I appreciated that, although for Coco Leaf to be a considered a true lunch option, it would be appreciated if they would officially extend the savory crepe availability till 2pm. With the edge of my hunger now satiated, I returned to the counter with dessert in mind. They fill their cream puffs with some flavors that are always available and others that aren't, so the cashier suggested that I try the Thai Tea cream puff ($3.21 after tax) over the always available matcha. It was good sized, with the nice crisp hallow pastry well filled with dense creamy goodness. I visited their closer handicap accessible unisex private bathroom and noticed it was missing hooks, whether on the door or by the toilet. The Red Line Fields Corner T station is but a short walk away. *** 9/2018 *** I didn't realize till I got to Coco Leaf with my Vietnamese sub already purchased that the savory menu at Coco Leaf has since much increased, and is now available till their day's end. Their sweet offerings have also increased, and I have my eye on their baked pandan mochi for $2. Shakes and milk teas are also available, but I went with the $6.50 Che Halo Halo off the Che Menu. The scoop of ube ice cream was good but petite, the two flan cubes rich and creamy. I drank it all and ate maybe half the stuff. This is a rather filling dessert if you should decide to consume it all. All in all, I think I prefer the 3 flavor ice dessert drink that I've had before at various Vietnamese restaurants. There might be a bit too much going on in Coco Leaf's Che Halo Halo. If I feel like Halo Halo, I'll probably make my way back to Quincy's JNJ Turo Turo. I've been here over 5 times lol. I needed a place to study until late and this happened to be the only place accessible! Lucky me, they have delicious boba and food! I wouldn't say their boba is the best out there but it still does the job. I have a low tolerance for sweet drinks so some were way too sweet for me. However, you can adjust the sweetness level so I do mine at 30% and it tastes great. What I'm actually obsessed with are their small bites. I tried their popcorn chicken and their curry balls and ugh SO GOOD for their price! They have outlets and a few tables inside. Free wifi as well. At first I thought their Che was the best thing about this restaurant...I then discovered how delicious their pastries, flan, and creme brulee are!! I was very skeptical ordering a creme brulee for delivery, but it was the tastiest creme brulee I have ever had. Today I was craving their desserts. So I went ahead and just ordered my entire dinner from Coco Leaf (see photo - I transferred everything into bowls out of an abundance of caution). I had a feast: popcorn chicken with spicy garlic sauce, curry fish balls, wild mushroom crepe, flan, and Che Saigon. Everything I ordered is served at variable temperatures so I was unsure of how this would go delivery-wise. Lo and behold: popcorn chicken was hot and crunchy, curry fish balls were out-of-this-world savory and satisfying, and wild mushroom crepe was stuffed full of beautiful sauteed produce. The Che Saigon and flan arrived perfectly chilled. Not only was this an extremely well-put-together delivery experience, but the food was just outstanding. I love this place, since the day they opened. From the spacious design of the place to the wide selection of food on the menu. They have these bigger than usual cream puffs with multiple flavors of fillings that you can choose from including matcha, coffee, vanilla, etc., different flavors on different things. There's a variety of pastries such as these delicious, light madeleines, muffins, cookies, mochi donuts, croissants, and of course there are different flavors for them all. As for the che, they fill their cups up! My favorites are che banh lot (chia seeds and coconut) and che halo halo (ube ice cream (favorite) , flan, different beans - BOMB). You can expect them to have a different selection every time you go in there, because of course ingredients are in different seasons and some days they bake more pastries while some days there are other things such as regular or Thai tea flans, creme brulee, and many other desserts that are delicious. They brew their tea for their milk teas everyday and their coffees are always freshly made every day - the Vietnamese coffee is pretty good, make sure you tell them to add extra condensed milk if you're not into the bitter taste like I am. I can see that the owners are very hardworking people, they put their all into their creations and they just want everybody to enjoy what they can provide. This is a cute little place to hang out and relax a bit - the only thing that I would say is a dislike about this place is that the bakery smell sticks to you when you leave as if you're eating hot pot or something where the smell sticks to your clothes. Came here for a quick Vietnamese dessert and there were so many options! I got the chè because I wanted to try something new and I'm glad I did! My friend got the Chè thái, which has a verrryyy strong durian taste. It was really good but I wouldn't get it for those who don't LOVE durian. I got the chè Saigon which I think is a great first time one. It has all of the ingredients that are light and refreshing. I'm not a huge fan of beans which is why I chose this one. The place is cool, the natural lighting is great, the staff is very nice, and there's also a floating bookshelf with some board games and books if you're trying to hang out with a group of friends or hang by yourself. The drinks are good, you can get unlimited toppings for $0.50 which is nice considered almost everyone else charges that price for one topping. However, be warned that the service sized for a fruit smoothie are GIANT, if you come with a friend consider sharing the drink since it's THAT big. I wish they had smaller sizes since I can only imagine how many grams of sugar are in the fruit smoothie and can't ever finish my drink (also, make sure you bring a tooth brush). Now, I have not tried many of their pastries, but I had the raspberry tart and it was delicious for the most part. I would have preferred more raspberry and less of the white cream on the top (it might have been flambeed whipped cream). If the prices are a bit pricey for you, keep in mind of the increase in prices they have to acquire from their suppliers just like the increase in prices at our grocery stores. They also have to pay for the workers and keep up with maintenance. We don't blink an eye when we buy that beer at the bar or when we buy that wine. I'm not just saying that, they truly have a ton of options that you can't find somewhere else....how often do you see flavors like Kumquat Berry, Plum Oolong, and Lavender Jasmine? These type of dessert shops are starting to pop up left and right. Similar to this place would be Bambu which is also conveniently located close by. During my first couple stops here, I noticed that I would either drive past it or end up parking a couple blocks away thinking I was close. Staff is extremely friendly and are willing to give you suggestions as it can be overwhelming with the dozen or so choices of Che. They also also small finger foods like popcorn chicken and crepes but I have yet to give them a try.So far I've tried the Okinawa and hot Luu. All ingredients are properly stored in a refrigeration station. Some of the ingredients included, hot luu, which I can only describe as pomegranate seed like? coconut slices, pandan jelly, coconut milk, grass jelly and topped with a ball of shaved iced and some type of sweet liquid. I prefer the method of mixing the entire Che but I know some people prefer picking away at it a little at a time. Its slightly on the too sweet side but maybe for future visits I can just ask for less of the sweet liquid and see how that goes. Ranging from $5.25 to $5.75, some may think its slightly expensive but if you can literally get a meal out of this entire dessert, which makes it worth it to me. I wonder if they can make a custom Che? Only way to know is to ask next time. I've been seeing pictures of the cream puffs but never saw it on the menu, ended up finding out from a friend that you have to ask them for it. The location is located right across the street from the fields corner train station. Decor inside is very nice and bright with small plants on the tables. There is one giant table wooden table that fits at least 10-15 people which I thought was a nice touch. Inside is pretty quiet and I've seen people bring their laptops and do work. I'm a big crepe fan so I was excited to see savory crepes on the menu. We tried the Thai and hello Vietnam. These things are stuffed to the max and are quite big! The fresh basil in the Thai was a really nice touch. The Vietnam is essentially a banh mi wrapped in a crepe but minus the bread! It's a nice twist and has all of those fresh flavors from a banh mi. Smoothies: I've tried many items off their menu which made it so hard for me to choose 1 favorite drink of mine. THIS PLACE IS SO CUTE. And the owners seem super nice. I had planned a long day of studying because this place has free wifi and a super aesthetic layout and I had bought lunch at a place nearby. I know most restaurants have a no outside food policy so I asked the man behind the counter and he was kind about it because it was my first time here. But besides that, this che is so good. I got the Che Cocoleaf since it seemed like the safe choice to go to for my first che and its so sweet, but not too sweet and has amazing hints of coconut. I can already see myself craving this in the future and to be honest I think this is definitely worth a 40 minute commute. Great little dessert spot. The large windows and casual, cool decor makes for a fun place to enjoy che and baked goods. Service isn't the fastest but reasonable. They have board games and large communal tables. Coco Leaf makes all of their goodies in house except for the bagels. The staff is friendly and pleasant to talk to. I tried their lychee che, smashed avocado che and macrons. The lychee che is something that I can eat without feeling guilty, not overly sweet and just refreshing. The smashed avocado is layered with sweet jelly with syrup, mashed avo in the middle and topped with ice. The jelly + syrup is VERY sweet here even mixed with the avocado. I probably will elect to try something else than order this again. Their macrons are tasty but need more filling. Coco Leaf is a stone's throw away from Fields Corner T station which is awesome. I like going around 6PM when it is less busy. read more

I am a fan of Coco Leaf! They make authentic vietnamese desserts. I got the che thai and my friend got the che okinawa. A heads up that add ons such as durian is an extra $1 (I didn't know and the worker did not tell me when she asked if I wanted to add it). We ordered for here and got the che in bowls instead of cups. If you want it in a cup, order to-go! The actual che was delicious! So refreshing and it made me nostalgic about my childhood when I would have homemade che. The service is also amazing. A gentleman that took our order (I believe he's the owner) was so welcoming and kind. I would definitely recommend coming to Coco Leaf for authentic vietnamese dessert (among other yummy things)! read more

I've been coming here for about 2 months. I walk here from home and sometimes bring my infant. The decor is comfortable, welcoming, and clean. The also have a box of games for patrons to use. I'm a bubble tea novice, but the first time I came, the cashier helped me pick out a bubble tea that I would possibly like. Since then, I've gotten the machta milk tea w/boba jelly and coffee jelly. The first week they're opened was bad, all four of my dessert drinks were overwhelmed with artificial flavor, to the point it's inedible, I had no choice but to throw away. At that point I was done with this place, then they're closed the following week probably too many complaints and negative feedbacks, plus to re-train for improvement. I gave them a second chance when they're reopening, and voila, all the dessert drinks were made the way it should be, much better and totally different than the first time. Desserts, pastry, sandwiches, boba drinks, all are creative and delicious. Staff are nice, I also like the interior, very relaxing. It's worth going back to. read more

Similar to bambu. Here, they do not have the lids that fit the spoon. The dessert, the white chocolate cream puff, is delicious. Nice and crispy and not overly sweet. The oolong milk tea is perfectly made to my liking with unlimited free toppings. The setting is very modern and comfortable. Highly recommend and would come back! read more

Ever since my first encounter with a Ché Saigon at the Tet In at BC High this winter, I've been absolutely hooked with CocoLeaf and their Ché. Basically, Ché is a sweet soup in a cup with a variety of add-ins/toppings. There are many different choices to choose from. As a very indecisive person, I always struggle with picking what I want. I've gotten the Saigon, Hot Luu, Thai, Okinawa, and CocoLeaf. If you're craving something with fruit, get Thai. If you're craving something sweet and chewy, but also a bit bold in flavor, get Saigon. It has a hint of coffee in it. Okinawa has cubes of taro in it and is relatively sweet because of the potato. Cocoleaf has a lot of beans in it so if you want some protein, definitely get that. I've also tried their Iced Hot Cocoa and it's not your ordinary hot chocolate, it has a strong chocolate taste AND a hint of vietnamese coffee. Now, their vietnamese coffee, Im not sure if you've had viet coffee before, but it packs a powerful punch. It's like drinking a coffee black but at the same time, it's milky and sweet. Their spicy garlic chicken is pretty good too. It's not the fried chicken you get that's crispy and dry, but it's tossed in the sauce and you get a savory mouth full of chicken. read more
