The creativity, execution, and attention to detail are simply world-class. This may be one of Boston's best-kept secrets, but I have a feeling it won't remain a secret for much longer. I visited during my first trip to Boston with several coworkers, and by the end of the meal we all reached the same conclusion: whenever we're anywhere remotely near Boston again, Comfort Kitchen will be a mandatory stop. In fact, our biggest challenge wasn't deciding what to order. It was accepting that we simply didn't have enough room to try everything that sounded amazing on the menu. We're already talking about what we'll order on our next visit. Comfort Kitchen isn't just a restaurant. It's an experience. Make a reservation. Seriously. Like, right now.

We also had a dish of olives wihich were served with almonds marinaded in a spicy sauce. The service was outstanding. The waitress mentioned to me about the oyster special so I could order before six o'clock. Sh was on her toes. I had the seared tuna on a bed of rice. It was on the smaller side but filling. I ended the meal with butterscotch pudding. I wish I had the recipe. I certainly would return.

I visited this past weekend with my partner and sister for a birthday. Reservations were easy to get -- try OpenTable! The restaurant was very warm and welcoming, my first impression was "cozy". The service was really good, our server was super helpful in explaining the menu and pointing out the specials for the evening. To start, we got the olives and the cucumber salad. Both were really well done, the seasoning on the peanuts that came with the olives was amazing. Perfect amount of appetizer for three people. I ordered the steak frites, and my fellow diners got the Cod and the Gorditas. The steak frites were super flavorful, but the highlight of the dish was the fries. Coupled with the aioli, the fries were a huge hit at our table (you have to order them!). The cod was also really well done, when I come back I will definitely order the cod. We grabbed the butterscotch pudding and chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was super moist and the perfect consistency. Two desserts was perfect for three people. If you live in JP, you NEED to come to Vee Vee. Perfect for a special occasion!

Will definitely be back the next time we visit Boston.

My boyfriend loved his corn beef hash- looks small but very filling, rich and flavorful but wish it had more eggs. I didn't love the crostata. I heavily appreciated that the "greens" actually had other vegetables added to them to make it interesting and the potatoes were too crispy for me but that's personal preference. The crostata was good size and I loved the crust, I was just disappointed that it advertised goat cheese and I couldn't taste any. After eating we went inside to look at their pastry selection and they are absolutely beautiful!! We got the cream puff (gigantic and delicious), Nutella croissant (10/10 should get), and the butter cookie which was delicious but wish it was denser. The service truly blew me away and for that we Weill definitely be back to try more things.

Very well balanced - I especially liked the stracciatella. Taleggio Capeletti (7/10): A bit too rich and too salty for my tastes. I think this dish just needed something to cut through the richness. Still really good nonetheless. Lumache (8/10): The chew on the pasta is impeccable!! The chew on those mushrooms is also insane. Texture-wise, this dish was a home run. For some reason, I kept getting hints of something resembling boar taint in the sauce flavor itself. Not sure why... I don't think there was meat? I feel like I would've given this dish a 10/10 had it not been for the hint of that flavor. Service was very friendly and fast. The restaurant is small, but the seating didn't feel too tight. Even though I gave it a 5/5, I actually don't know if I would come again. The pasta was very steeply priced for not that much food. Although the capeletti was surprisingly filling, I'd rather feel full on carbs than full on pure butter and cheese.
