I can't remember if this was the 39 - PB & Acai Shake
    Madow N.

Love the shakes here. It does take a little long to make, especially if there are others ahead of you. But you can order, walk around in the mall and come back.

While shopping at the mall with my friend, she became occupied, chatting with a salesman selling bottled water service and giving out free bottles of water near Macy's. Since I knew it may be awhile, I spotted an I Love Milkshakes store close by and decided to get a thick milkshake. There was a short line which took while to order. While waiting, I checked out the shake offerings which included 5 kinds of traditional milkshakes ($4.99 (S)-$5.99 (M) -$6.99 (L) plus tax),18 premium milkshakes ($5.99 (S)-$6.99 (M) -$7.99 (L) plus tax) plus acai bowls, smoothies, sundaes. They use vanilla ice cream as a base for their shakes, but also offer fat-free frozen yogurt and lactose free ice cream as alternatives. My friend found me in line and decided to continue shopping at her favorite stores and beauty boutiques to score free birthday goodies, while I was still waiting to order (8 minutes). She did not want a milkshake since we enjoyed a big brunch only 45 minutes before. When it was my turn, I decided on the medium Bring The Boys Back To The Yard ($6.99 plus tax) (lyrics from Kelis' Milkshake song from 2005) which was made with vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, chocolate fudge, caramel, topped with whipped cream, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate & caramel drizzle. My Bring The Boys Back To The Yard milkshake was very thick, rich and very sweet. Since there was nowhere to enjoy my milkshake near I Love Milkshakes, I walked past the boutique my friend was in and she was chatting with a salesgirl. I headed to the food court to quickly enjoy my very thick sweet messy goodness. The chocolate chip cookies in the shake were a very nice touch. After, I was done, I quickly wiped my hands from the stickiness and headed back to the boutique and my friend was all set, with her free birthday stuff (hair products, makeup, soaps). She asked me if I got my milkshake and I told her I enjoyed it in the food court figuring I had ample time, hehe. She said "omg, you already drank it the whole thing? You just had a big plate of mac & cheese an hour ago." I was still hungry.

I Love Milkshakes blew me away. I stopped on a whim excepting just a regular milkshake. Milkshakes are basically the same right? Wrong!! I had the "Basic Becky" and let me tell you... there was nothing basic about her! It was by far one of the best Milkshake I had. It was packed with strawberries, bananas and graham crackers flavor. The menu has a great variety of options and the shakes have fun names. My only regret is that I ordered a small.

Decided to go in since usually there is a long line but took the opportunity since it was slow on a Sunday. Ordered a #18 Milkshake Lover. Super creamy, chocolate-y, and the strawberry was a nice touch when you mix it. There are 3 sizes and I chose the middle "large" size which was a good size to share between 2 people too

The shakes/açaí bowls are good but the wait to get the drink is just so long. Even if the line is short, there is just so much wait time for a drink to be made.

Coming in, I first could see the individually portioned rectangles of cakes and viennoiseries. No prices. That's actually a pet peeve of mine, as I dislike needing to take up the attention of a employee just to ask what the price is of something, in case another customer is behind me. Next, to the left, I spied their various baklava type sweets. But we are trying to eat fewer sweets, so initially I thought this might just be a reconnaissance visit. Further along yielded some savories. I pointed at and asked for one apiece of their chicken phyllo triangle (chicken briwat - shredded spiced chicken with sweet onion), the spinach flatbread (spinach herb cheese), and semolina pancake (Golden Pancake). These were pretty good. And service was nice. The sweets I picked up on another visit were poofy, but the filling ratio a bit off. Averaging out to maybe 3.5 in my book?

One would think a 1,000+ reviews in I'd gain some level of confidence! Yet, there are still reviews where I feel I am just winging it. Of course, I try to give my thoughts and opinions as best I can, still, I feel as though I were approaching 30 and can't believe I am technically an adult. This is the case with Pastry Land. I've been in here probably half a dozen times, and only now have I decided to put words on paper by wasting your time with irrelevant metaphors. ONWARDS! Pastry Land has great European style cakes and pastries. Their selection is wide and varied, and the quality is terrific! Everything I've had is distinct, scrumptious, and not over-sweet. Okay, great, so why four stars? Well, with the exception of a pistachio baklava square that knocked my socks off, I didn't find their goods were above and beyond sufficient as to drag me back with the same magnetism as Tatté or Flour (for e.g. - I know these are in different categories). They meet expectations, which is a solid four in my book. For some final notes: I feel that the value is fair in light of the quality. Also, the location itself is spacious, very clean, and the staff are friendly.

Everytime I drive pass, I will always make an effort to stop in to grab something for her. And even after the millioneth time, she still acts so surprised when I show up at her office to drop off her drink. lol But honestly, it's really just me finding an excuse to be able to see her during her working hours. Also, not sure why the place is hardly ever busy whenever Im there, really quite surprised tbh. Anyway, definitely a must-try if you like mangoes.

We tried a few different things. The signature mango dessert was pretty standard compared to other locations, but it was still tasty and hit the spot. We also had the mango sago, which had a great flavor, though the texture was a little on the watery side. The chocolate cake was good but quite sweet, and the packaging made it a bit tricky to eat, the plastic wrap held it together, but once removed, the cake tended to fall apart. It's a solid choice when you're craving those specific, fruity Asian desserts, especially if you're a mango lover. The quality is consistent with what you'd expect from the chain.
