Hurried to get to B&Js before closing. Walked in and both employees went into the back. No greeting. No smile or acknowledgement of any kind. When they reappeared, they were obviously crabby and upset to see us. Greeted us with a what do you want? BC I am in the service business, I knew I'd leave a generous gratuity but after not as much as a hello or thank you for coming, I was tempted to leave nothing. I felt bad for their lack of knowledge, kindness, manners and blatant lack of training with cust service so I chose to be the bigger person. Very disappointed with them and the business. By the way, there was still 10 minutes left in their shifts when we returned to our car. read more

Finally, a Ben & Jerry's in the south shore! First off, I am boring when it comes to ice cream. I only eat certain flavors, end of story. Even with my boring flavors, there's good boring and bad boring. Ben & Jerry makes the boring flavors tasty so I do stop by when I stumble close to one. I only buy certain brands of ice cream. Ben & Jerry's because they support local farms and against growth hormones(rGBH). They provide me with a wholesome dairy product! Guaranteed no Artificial Growth Hormones in their ice cream! All in All, a company with values, ethics and fair trade - why should I go for all those silly Fro-Yo shops sprouting out left and right and all over the place! I'm in love with Ben & Jerry's! Definitely prefer the location in Natick, but this is a close second. This location is just much smaller, and not as much of the colorful design of the interior or exterior of that one. Delicious ice cream, I highly suggest Chocolate Fudge, which is by far the best option (in my opinion, but I think of it more as a fact!). The staff were friendly and there were some tables inside the restaurant, as well as a few tables and chairs outside as well. Perfect place to stop from the hotel up the road, the cinema, or from the South Shore Plaza. Highly suggested. read more

Walked in and the employees were quiet and stand-offish. Maybe it's because I walked in 15 minutes before closing but all I wanted was one scoop on a cone anyways. This place is awesome! I had just gone for lunch somewhere and needed some dessert so I decided to try this out. I got a small cup of Brownie Batter ice cream for just over five dollars. They have a couple dozen flavors available and a list of toppings that you can add on for fifty cents apiece. They also have some sundaes here as well as some delicious looking ice cream cakes. There are canned sodas here available for purchase but if you don't want to shell out any extra money for a drink they do offer tap water here as well. The place was so clean you could eat off of the floor. The counter help was friendly. I will be back for sure! read more

I just have to give a shout out to the young guy who helped us - I should really get better on remembering names. We were asking alot of questions about each of the flavors and he had it all memorized! nice job! Great service, clean bright store, love the designs on the walls. Located near our hotel. I went to this Ben and Jerrys on free cone day. I was expecting a super long wait but I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the event went. I thought it would be like Haagen Dazs free cone day where they only have 3 flavors you can pick from. Ben and Jerrys was awesome and had a list of over 10 choices. The staff were well organized and had menus they handed out in line so everyone could decide what to get before it was their turn. This made the line move fast. I did not wait in line longer than 5 minutes. I got a cone of milk and cookies ice cream. It was delicious and the best part was that it was free. I had their Americone Dream small in a cup. It was soft/melty, and the waffle pieces were not crunchy at all - it tasted sad and pathetic, which made me pretty sad. Ice cream should not make people feel sad! I was having a pretty tough day, and wanted to self-medicat with my favorite flavor from B&J, but it came out so bad. I ate it only because I paid for it. way overpriced is an understatement! and this time the ice cream was dried out spent over $20 for 3 small ice creams - just not worth it! supermarket haagen daz, giffords or alden's ice cream from whole foods are so much better + far less expensive. we saw 2 people walk out when they learned of the prices. cannot wait for dairy freeze in quincy to open again in the fall. better -- much better ice cream at a fraction of the cost! wish a jp licks would open around here! This place makes me happy and feel like a little kid. They always seem to be really busy! But last night my experience went from "little kid" to "appreciative adult" because the girl helping us was so genuinely sweet and helpful. She gave us excellent service (I know it's just ice cream) but I feel like in today's world, the act of good customer service gets lost in fast food type places. Free cone day! Great, I was so worried to be standing in a line like the other shops free days for hours for just 3 flavor. They were offering 15 different flavors, had many staff working and was extremely organized. They were handing very clean menus out before you got in,from the time I got in the line till I got out with a delicious ice cream cone was just about 5 minutes. That's what I call a fun event. I believe the prerequisite for working here is idiot. Once I went there to get a cake but asked instead of frosting could we use fudge and they couldnt figure out how to do it or didnt want to so NO cake. then tonight I went it saw the sign for lactose free and said oh great I debated if I wanted to be sick tonight but I dont have to cause I can get the lactose free. She smiled and said yes thats great.I asked for the chunky monkey and she proceeded to give me regular I said no I just got through asking for the lactose free so she responds oh no we dont have that yet. Thankfully we snagged them they are so good! Service is usually staff behind counter, quick checkout. Self serve grabbing what you want unless it's in the main display (like cakes). Always at Hmart so sure we'll be here again

I had eaten lunch in the food court at the mall and since there is not much in the way of desserts in the food court I decided to go downstairs to this place and try out the ice cream. The ice cream here comes in the form of small roll-ups and they make the ice cream to order. I watched as the guy behind the counter took some type of liquid, poured it onto a frozen tray and with some type of a spatula he crafted my ice cream roll-ups. He served the ice cream in a cup and drizzled some chocolate sauce onto it. They have several flavors available and I chose the mint chocolate chip which was very tasty. I will come back and perhaps try some more flavors.
