The ice cream was good. I was overcharged and waiting for the manager to call me back to fix the charge. The manager called me back within 24 hours and adjusted the bill and credited back the balance owed. It was appreciated and of course we will continue to be a customer when in the area. The Service was prompt as we were the only patrons at the time. We had 5 people and I understand the confusion as we were charged for small ice creams when they were kiddie cones. The ambiance was nice and the place was clean and I love their beautiful ice cream cakes with ice cream cone designs. That was so cool. read more

Have been coming here for years. Will still come occasionally but there are other choices in the area. The Good Tons of flavors to choose from Ice cream is delicious Signature sundaes are my favorite The Bad Prices keep going up. $30+ for my family of 4 It's $8.15 for a waffle cone! Not $8.15 for waffle cone and ice cream. Just the waffle cone. It's another $6 for the ice cream so $14.15 for a waffle cone $1 extra for jimmies, $1 extra for nuts, where does it end? Line can be long and slow All in all, great quality and selection bit almost any other place in the area would be way more affordable and the difference in quality is not that far off to justify it. read more

Have heard about this place for years now and finally made it in on a visit to Braintree. Cute little ice cream place. I know a previous review mentioned the card minimum. They now have a sign on door and register. Service was friendly. She was able to take our 4 orders at once without writing them down. Impressive! Taste was good I enjoyed my ice cream. Only part was cashier asking for a tip. There are 2 buckets labeled Tips at the register already. Just a little off putting to me asked for a tip. read more

First of all, the minimum for card is 10$. There was no sign in the store or outside about card minimum and I was only notified after ordering a regular bowl of ice cream (2 scoops, total 6.1). I ended up having to buy an ice cream sandwich to reach the minimum. There is a large variety of flavors that you can choose from and they're happy to provide samples of any flavors as well. The ice cream (coffee toffee fudge) had a really nice taste but was certainly a lot-- good for the price. I wanted to save the ice cream sandwich for tomorrow but it melted too quickly because I had other things to finish up for the day. The cookies for the ice cream sandwich were on the softer side even though it was in the freezer section. Overall my experience was slightly soured by the surprise 10$ card minimum since they didn't tell me upfront but rather after they had scooped it into bowls. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the ice cream cookie sandwich more if I wasn't desperately trying to salvage it while it was melting after I had eaten two scoops of ice cream. read more

Daddy's is a pretty crazy ice cream stop in Braintree! First, I have never seen so many options of soft serve ice cream. All of the flavors are made by a combination of syrups with a base soft serve, leaving me a little bit skeptical...but so many people were leaving with big smiles after ordering flavors like S'more and Fruity Pebbles, I figured it had to be good. They have 5 or 6 bins of colored sprinkle combinations that represent local High School colors, which I thought was both a sweet community oriented idea and a smart marketing concept. Plenty of icecream flavors! Soft serve, hard serve, lactose free. There is something for everyone Good icecream in the area but it was a little expensive in my opinion. The staff was nice and fast. They were able to serve plenty of people in a short amount of time. There was not a lot of seating so be prepared to either leave or stand. I was looking forward to coming here for quite a while. I first knew about this place through Instagram a couple of months ago, the pictures and videos looked nice so it got stuck in my mind but I gotta say, when I first got here I was less than impressed. I was planning on getting a Banana Split so looking through the menu so I could pick out the flavors but I felt the attendant wasn't very patient, I wasn't even in the line, then when I came up the counter she wasn't very friendly. There's a minimum of $10 for credit card so I had to get a bottle of water to go over the 10 dollar amout. The Ice Cream was okay, nothing like what I was expecting, there was a piece of pineapple in it that wasn't good, like sour and old. I hope this review is taken just like a piece of feedback, so they can make the experience of coming here for ice cream a little more joyous. read more

The staff was very attentive and helpful with my son's decision, caramel brownie in an Oreo cookie waffle cone bowl-he loved it! I had the Oreo cookie ice cream in a small waffle cone and found myself wondering why it took me so long to try this place. Overall: an amazing assortment of soft serve and hard serve ice cream. Bright and cheerful store with good social distancing procedures. Good sizes for a good price and a lot of different option like cakes, sundaes, frappes, etc. They have lots of hard ice cream in the long display case. They get the ice cream from a variety of different places and the worker could really tell us what was from where. They scooped the hard serve right from the case but the soft serve was in the back hidden which is understandable because they have so many flavors that they can't have them all in the open. I got a small peppermint patty soft serve. It was big. It tasted like mint and chocolate swirled which makes since because I doubt they would have a superset machine and recipe for each flavor. I would recommend and definitely come again and try mint brownie or another one if there soft serves. The only thing keeping from a 5 stars is it wasn't homemade and you can't tell which flavors are from where. read more

I got a brownie sundae with Milky Way Ice cream (the brownie which was BOMB) and my family got bubble gum and coconut almond joy. My wife enjoyed hers, and my son as well. But the service was less than sub par. As a paying customer the last thing I want is to feel like I am wasting someone's time. And her attitude was beyond STANK. Slammed the first ice cream on the counter, second one rolled her eyes as she handed my wife the cone. And then took forever for my sundae. I love ice cream as I've mentioned before and will stop anywhere for it... This place has my favorite ice cream flavor that 99% of ice cream shops don't have, Grapenut. They have so many varieties and options, toppings galore, shakes, banana splits, homemade ice cream sandwiches, AND ICE CREAM MADE WITH LIQUOR (Must be 21 to purchase those of course)!!! Honestly if there's an ice cream flavor that you're craving, the probably have it. When I come in they are organized at the counter and greet every customer with a smile. This one young Lady that I always seem to get when I come in actually remembers my order and I don't even come in that often because I don't actually live in Braintree! Well I was excited to grab a frappe at this shop. I walked in and was greeted by a sign that said $10 minimum for cards, big turn off because most people don't carry cash these days. I've passed this place numerous times throughout the years and never went in, I guess because I assumed it was some sort of knock off Dairy Queen (couldn't tell you why). My fiancé and I were craving icecream and our go tos were closed for the season so we decided to give this place a try. I rushed to read a few reviews and 2 things I noted is that there were a lot of flavor options so deciding can be overwhelming and to try and decide before because the staff can be snippy. I had enough time to pull up the menu and start skimming, but did not have time choose before hand like recommended. To my relief the staff was very helpful and didn't seem annoyed at all that I needed guidance. They gave recommendations of soft serve for me and even let my fiancé try some hard ice cream options. Based on recommendations I ended up with strawberry cheesecake soft serve in a cup which came with pie crumbs on the bottom. No this isn't fresh churned full of fresh strawberry ice cream, but it was a good choice to satisfy an ice cream craving. They also had tons of toppings which I didn't partake in but may end up treating myself next time! (I'm a sucker for gummy bears) read more

One star for multiple reasons. 1. Customer service was terrible. For a place with this many options, I wanted to know about a specific option. Some older miserable broad responded like I should know exactly how they make the swirls/blizzards and sundaes. *It was later in the evening and chilly out. It wasnt a busy day either. So I wasn't holding up the line if that's what some people are thinking. 2. Soft serve sucks I've gotten different flavors of soft serve before writing this review. The reason they're able to serve an insane amount of flavors is because of the dye and syrup/extract. None of it tastes like real ice cream, and they all just taste like a botched version of vanilla.
