Cute box cookies are put in

What an adorable chocolate shop that is a great addition to Quincy Center. The staff is friendly & chocolate is delicious. They even embrace local history with Abigail Adams cookies. The weekend before Easter they offered free photos with the Easter Bunny - which my 1 year old daughter just adored! Edit: been back twice since the Easter Bunny visit - the P2C2 bar is delicious One warning though, the store is not accessible. I think the sidewalk and the building aren't level with each other, so there's a slat of wood in the bottom of the door frame that makes a tripping hazard and was hard to get my stroller over.

My friend sent me a box of Belgian chocolates from PureFections for Valentine's Day, and they were delicious! The pecan caramel turtles are soooo good. I think any chocolate lover would appreciate a box from PureFections for any occasion!

I love that the owner took the time to make suggestions and packaged the boxes with care. My family have gifted the chocolates to all of our loved ones. The quality and service have always been consistent. Special orders have been accurate. Everything we have ever ordered has been on time and precise. She's phenomenal with service.

Hilliards Candy is that South Shore stalwart that you may have forgotten until you really need it!…read moreIt's been in the area for, well, forever! and for my family at least, it's been bringing sweet treats for about 40 years. A few years ago the store moved from the cramped space in Norwell at Assinippi Corners to a fresh, larger building right at Queen Anne Corner on Rt. 53, across from Alfredo Aiello. It manages to have to same cozy feeling as the old store when you walk in and are surrounded by whatever seasonal chocolates are displayed, plus the cases full of chocolates, truffles, jelly beans, foil-wrapped chocolates - everything! It's a given that the big holidays - Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day - have everything and everything you could want to make a sweet tooth happy. I've spent many visits to Hilliards picking up waaaay too much candy for big holidays as well as the smaller ones (St. Patrick's Day, Fourth of July, Halloween) because "I need to bring candy to work!" More like, "I need to bring candy home!" Displays are fresh and full, the prices won't make you blink- think delicious without breaking the bank - and the staff is low key helpful rather than hard sell. I especially like that since I like to roam around, walking the hardwood floor, shopping the one-for method: one for you, one for me. One for you, one for . . . well you get it! Lots of parking in the back of the building, so look past the teeny 3-space area in front and just follow the arrows to the back door-and sometimes there're samples!

There was one guy working who was super helpful in answering our questions. After looking at the selection of chocolates we decided on getting mini truffles. They can come in as a box of 1, 2, 4, 8, or 12. There were a few flavors we picked that were sold out, but ended up getting sea salt caramel, strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, sweet dreams, Dubai, peanut butter, red velvet, and white chocolate. The sea salt caramel is a fan favorite and definitely one of the favorites I tried as well. The mini truffles are priced at $2.50/piece so a box of 8 will set you back at $20. I wasn't a big of the white chocolate or Dubai, but these are definitely great chocolates to treat yourself or to give as a gift. I'd definitely recommend trying them out and hope to come back to try out all the other flavors.

They have a variety of pastries as well ; it's reflected in the photo below . This is strictly a bakery you pick stuff up they have no seating . The ambience is friendly and warm . They had a thin string on the back to mimic a tail, which also helps keep your hands clean--a fun and thoughtful design. The cocoa and milk flavors were pure and rich, with a smooth and silky texture. I personally didn't find it too sweet. My friends who tasted it also raved about it. Pavé Glacé: The best of the bunch. Made in the same way as nama chocolate生チョコ--frozen chocolate ganache, but this one had a fine layer of cocoa powder, making it denser and more solid. It melted in mouth and starts to linger, with a more distinct flavor profile from bitter to sweet to fragrant. Sesame Truffe: Two pieces in one serving was perfect. A thin layer of light cocoa powder on the surface, the shell was so crisp that it crumbled in mouth, and the flowing filling with nutty and caramel flavors immediately spills out. However, I didn't taste much sesame; it's closer to hazelnut, the classic chocolate flavor, and a bit on the sweeter side.

They feature lots of Swiss treats and there's something everyone would like. I ordered a milk chocolate hot chocolate and my friend got a dark chocolate. The drinks are rich and super smooth. I always need a little water which luckily they have a pitcher with little cups. We then split two treats, the Engadiner Nusstorte and Cherry Tart. Both were delicious, and they complimented the drinks nicely, especially the Cherry adding that contrasting tartness to a sweet beverage. The gentleman working was also nice he cut the treats in half for us to split. I was shocked how busy it was, at most points there wasn't a free table inside, as people come here to chat and enjoy. It was the perfect place to meet a friend and I'd come back for sure.
