I've passed this place numerous times throughout the years and never went in, I guess because I assumed it was some sort of knock off Dairy Queen (couldn't tell you why). My fiancé and I were craving icecream and our go tos were closed for the season so we decided to give this place a try. I rushed to read a few reviews and 2 things I noted is that there were a lot of flavor options so deciding can be overwhelming and to try and decide before because the staff can be snippy. I had enough time to pull up the menu and start skimming, but did not have time choose before hand like recommended. To my relief the staff was very helpful and didn't seem annoyed at all that I needed guidance. They gave recommendations of soft serve for me and even let my fiancé try some hard ice cream options. Based on recommendations I ended up with strawberry cheesecake soft serve in a cup which came with pie crumbs on the bottom. No this isn't fresh churned full of fresh strawberry ice cream, but it was a good choice to satisfy an ice cream craving. They also had tons of toppings which I didn't partake in but may end up treating myself next time! (I'm a sucker for gummy bears) read more

Hands down the cutest, tastiest ice cream place around. They have several locations that are conveniently located near both my daughters school and our house- double trouble! This place is super tempting....it's all cute and pink inside. My daughter calls it "the pink ice cream store" and... they have a large vanilla-based lactose-free ice cream collection- hooray! read more

This is absolutely perfect!! It had hot fudge, grahm crackers, marshmallow fluff, whip cream and a cherry on top! The right amount of ingredients were put in and it was not overbearing. Ice cream was fantastic and it came together so perfectly. The staff are friendly and helpful! read more

One star for multiple reasons. 1. Customer service was terrible. For a place with this many options, I wanted to know about a specific option. Some older miserable broad responded like I should know exactly how they make the swirls/blizzards and sundaes. *It was later in the evening and chilly out. It wasnt a busy day either. So I wasn't holding up the line if that's what some people are thinking. 2. Soft serve sucks I've gotten different flavors of soft serve before writing this review. The reason they're able to serve an insane amount of flavors is because of the dye and syrup/extract. None of it tastes like real ice cream, and they all just taste like a botched version of vanilla. Uh.. hello . Orange colored soft serve doesn't mean it tastes like orange... FYI the dye doesn't change the flavor . read more

So I ordered my cake from here from the first time and I was not impressed I was looking at cakes that they had advertised last week saying that their cake decorator was going to be going on vacation so I decided I wanted to order the cake that I saw on the Facebook page. When I open my cake I realize that the cakes were a little bit different I wanted to cake with that had the hot fudge rim around the cake like the one i saw. The response i got was well i didnt have a picture to go by because you didnt send me one. She also stated that that was the first cake she Had ever made. Well you would think it would come out better by now. NOPE NOT THE CASE. Instead she said WE dont use that fudge anymore! SO CAN YOU TELL ME WHY YOU JUST ADVERTISED THAT CAKE LIKE THATS THE ONE I WAS GOING TO GET! Worst Customer Service ever. Im never ordering from there again. Daddy Dairy off my List read more

The ice cream is mediocre at best with terrible ownership! All about the money... will not be returning.

supposed to be open at 12 o'clock every day me and three SUVs and a motorcycle have been waiting here since 12 o'clock it's now 12:31and still nobody here and the doors are locked it's kind of crazy not happy kids getting in the car crying because they have nobody in this place read more

I went into the store to get a frape, which is always good, I ordered it and when I tried to pay for it there is now a ten dollar minimum to use a credit card. The only place i saw this posted was on the register when I went to pay. The server would not give me the frape without buying something else to bring the order over ten. I will never go there again. read more

First things first - the location, while it has great visibility, is pretty difficult to access if you aren't coming off the rotary. If you're driving from west Braintree you'll have to get onto the rotary and go all the way around to enter the parking lot. My partner is a self-professed ice cream lover (and snob). We tried the strawberry and rum-raisin flavors of hard ice cream. The rum-raisin was heavy on the rum-flavoring but the strawberry was disappointingly artificial. If you choose to eat your ice cream outside, you get a primo view of Motel 6 and the smell of car exhaust. For the price (~$3.25 for a regular size cup), I would rather sacrifice variety and pick up a pint of Ben and Jerry's and eat it in the comfort of my own home. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered a quart of hand packed ice cream and all she did was put scoops of ice cream in a quart container without packing it. She didn't even come up to the top of the container let alone "hand packing" it. Not worth the trip. read more

Just found this place. The sundaes are delicious. Great service too. Lots of parking and no line. Will definitely tell people about this place. The only downside is that there are no public bathrooms. read more

Very hesitant to try this place because the name has always seemed absurd to me . The person working there was lovely & the dark chocolate ice cream (death bu chocolate or extreme chocolate chip i forget which) is super delicious. I wanted to try the Cadbury egg but they were all out. My husband had the pumpkin Oreo and was impressed. Better than Quincy creamery and how many scoops for sure!!! read more

I come here often and it is consistently good! I only wish that they had the hard ice cream flavors listed because it is difficult to see the flavors when in line. Service is always great! read more

Wish I could've put no stars. The ice cream is nothing to write home about, daughter ordered funfetti cake ice cream, but it was freezer burnt with numerous ice chunks. What is most disturbing is the way I witnessed management treating staff. The girl behind the counter was nothing but kind, but the manager (some blonde woman) was borderline abusive. Not a good example for my children!! Go to Crescent Ridge. read more

Epic sundaes. I had a scrumptious signature sundae and Kathy had a custom flavors sundae. Courtney was away at college so I can't comment on her service read more

I bring my two year old boys to Daddy's Dairy weekly. We have had a decent experience however the one thing I do not understand is why is there always a sign "cash only". Tonight when we went there were two signs on the door. Then inside a Fancy "cash only". Usually when we go there's one sign and they always take my card. We waited in line for 10 mins. When we got inside I asked (like always) is the machine broken? Tonight they said "no but we prefer cash next time bring cash". This is ridiculous read more

I've been coming here since it opened. Today there was a $10 card minimum which is fine but I have been using my card all along and never had an issue. My option was to chose another item on the spot while there was a large line or tip the difference. It was $4 and I would've tipped regardless but the fact it was nearly forced upon me was a little distasteful. Our ice creams were much smaller than they were in the summer even though we ordered the same sizes as usual. Lastly in terms of sanitation I noticed one employee handling ice cream and money without changing her gloves in between. That's a real health hazard especially during Covid. Won't be returning until summer. The staff last year was great. read more

Amazing staff and even better ice cream! Vanilla and strawberry swirl with sprinkles or sea salt caramel are amazing! A family fav!

BE WARNED: their ice cream is from Gifford's. You're better off getting grocery store brand ice cream and MUCH better off getting Hood, Hershey's, Ben and Jerry's... basically anywhere else. I walked in, saw their ice cream brand, then immediately walked out. read more

They have really good vegan options and the staff is so nice! The non-vegan gave her stamp of approval to the Oreo ice cream.

Probably the worst place ever. Saw them turn away a mother with a daughter in need of a restroom. No need to go there again.

Went with my grandson to get dessert for the family. It was pouring outside and I was trying to manage the umbrella, my 3 year old grandson, and $26 worth of ice cream that was packaged with non-forming tops and put in flimsy boxes that didn't support the weight of the ice cream. 2 of the ice creams fell outside the door which management would not replace because they fell outside of the shop. REALLY?????? I had to spend another $8 to replace the 2 I lost. I will NEVER return. BAD BUSINESS. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. read more

I called to order a specific flavor cake, the girl who picked up was really rude. She said they're closed on Thanksgiving, then said you can come in for any other cake, we just made one. So I said I'd like a specific flavor. Can I pick it up tomorrow then? Her response was " you have to order 4-5 days in advance, not the day before, okay thank you and hung up". It was even before I can say sure, I can wait 4-5 days for the cake. Anyway, rude so I wouldn't recommend to order a cake from here. She didn't take the time to explain and their website said 2 days in advance for ordering. If the owner care, I would recommend to train the employees to be friendly and customer service oriented, remind them that not every one is a regular and knows their policies. Please take the time out and educate the customers if they are obviously new and would like to be a consumer. read more

Rude Customer service. Didn't get her name but she was an older lady in her 40s-50s. I tried to get the regular size cone, but she said she cant put the hard serve ice cream in it because they just got it so its soft, made me upgrade to a large. Doesnt make sense, they serve soft serve in these cones with no problems. That hard serve ice cream was nowhere near a soft serve. THEN, me and my sister both bought a large ice cone, we decided we need a lot of napkins for the car ride home because sometimes, ice cream cone can get messy when it starts melting.... as I was telling my sister to grab more napkins, she felt it was ok to say in a rude demanding tone "that's PLENTY" ...... wow, I paid for 2 large cones and couldnt get more than 10 pieces of napkins for 2 people? ... Will NOT be coming back here read more

Daddy's Dairy disappointed me. I ordered ice cream and the portion size of the scoops were small, but overpriced. The toppings were also minuscule. I couldn't even taste the hot fudge. I also had some difficulty eating the hard ice cream, with an extremely flexible spoon that kept bending. Was that a joke? The ice cream was also flavorless. Customer service was also lacking. There's only one thing that works for Daddy's Dairy and that's the convenient location nearby the Braintree rotary. I rather go to the Yogurt bar instead, which is nearby. read more

Never coming back to this place. It was my first time trying daddy's dairy. I went to get ice cream and they said I can only get vanilla or twist soft serve because I have a nut allergy. I then asked about hard ice cream and they said I can only have vanilla. Other ice cream places will wash the spoon and open up a new container with no problem if someone has a allergy. I have been to many ice cream places and this has never happened to me before. Also the lady who took my order was rude. Very disappointed. Will not recommend this ice cream place to anyone that I know. read more

Went into daddy's dairy today with my 2 younger cousins. Great ice cream terrible customer service. The 4 female workers on shift tonight, didn't greet us when we walked in and we were the only customer. they chatted in the corner until I had to ASK FOR SERVICE. The girl who finally walked over still didn't greet us, she just stood there stared at us. Finally we received our ice cream an sat down to eat. Eventually more people came in, predominately white individuals an they were treated with great service an were ask if they needed anything. I'm shocked at this type of behavior from such an historic and worthy of note establishment read more

This is a great place to get ice cream. They have lactaid free options which is amazing because most ice cream places don't. And the ice cream is amazingly creamy and it's so delicious. I had a few instances with customer service and a few people ordering the wrong things. Such as the lady put my ice cream in a cup instead of a cone. I know everyone makes mistakes, but it was three people who did this. This is a really good place and I recommend it! read more

Excellent ice cream. Good size and good value. Always crowded during peak times. Plenty of parking and good service too.

This isn't regarding daddy's dairy ice cream. It's a review on the owner and help. Today I went to daddy's dairy to appease my sick child (hoping it was closed) The lights were on and the parking lot wasn't even plowed. All ice. There were 2 high school girls working. No one else in sight. The fact that the owner had them open this place on their own and didn't even shovel for them or show up is appalling - selfishness at its best. All about the money. read more

although there ice cream in great the customer service leaves much to be desired. After going in to get ice cream to go for the family and getting back to the house there was some disappointment in the portion size of the ice cream. Wanting to give them a little feed back I told myself I would give them a call the next day. Well shame on me I forgot to call them. I called today and asked for the boss and was told I was talking to them. when I started to tell them of my complaint about the portion size they I was laughed at. Now I am pretty thicked skinned but really laughing at a customer is not great customer service. The funny thing is I wasn't asking for anything I just wanted to give the owner a little feedback, they have a lot of kids working there, to teach them to be consistent with portion control. When you go make sure you get what you pay them for read more

Super bummed at Daddy's Dairy. My husband and I live very close and we have been so excited to try this place. We walked in and the lay out of a little confusing and there is marketing material everywhere. We ordered with a very sweet young lady and my husband got the Girl Scout, he said it was, "ok". I order the Butter Pecan, my favorite ice cream of all time. Not only did it not have Pecans but all of their soft serves are liquid flavoring. That's not good and broke my heart. Especially for the price. I wanted ice cream not chemicals. We won't be be returning. read more
