Carolyn, the owner, is a qualified dietitian/nutritionist, who would be guiding people to pursue healthy vegan eating as per their dietary needs. It could be for detoxification, weight-loss, thyroid etc etc. She is an enthusiastic professional. During the event, Carolyn could find time to speak to every guests present at the event and explain the concept, gave us some really good tips, which we would not know otherwise. We also tried a lot of samples of fresh juices and smoothies. The price of each item as compared to any other gourmet juice bars is competitive. She has lunch programs with delivery options and a lot of unique offerings. We tried almond milk, detox smoothie and some other healthy smoothies, everything was delicious! The lunch was all vegan nachos topped with chilli, cheese, sour-cream, salsa and some salad. She surely proved that healthy eating does not have to be boring or tasteless! Well, I saw a Booster Juice store. A cold beverage seemed fitting. It made me to a u-turn on Neilson Road to check it out. This Booster Juice is next to a 24-hour A&W. Both are across from SDM. I backed into a spot in front of of Booster Juice and walked in. I was the only customer at around 11 am. A friendly man greeted me. We exchanged pleasantries. I order the same drink that I do at any Booster Juice because I love it so much. I got an oranges 'n cream drink. It's now called a mix'r. I seem to like drinks with apostrophes. I got my berry points QR code scanned to earn rewards. I am so close to getting a free booster ball. Yep, it takes me eons to reach a berry point redemption level. I paid for my drink with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This man proceeded to prepare my drink. He cut up some oranges. He blended up my drink pretty quickly. I was so happy when he handed me my drink with a purple straw. I thanked him and left. I sipped my drink heading home. It didn't last long! This drink is an orange creamsicle in liquid form, but with oranges, vanilla frozen yogurt, and vanilla oat beverage. It's delicious. I have ordered it without the vanilla frozen yogurt to make it dairy-free. It's good, but it's definitely better with the frozen yogurt. I now embrace the dairy because I want the creamsicle experience. This store has wraps, protein balls, and other snacks. I liked looking at the merchandise. Their best seller is Strawberry and Banana smoothie special, it is a large size for $4.45. I believe they use concentrated strawberry juice and blend it with fresh bananas. You can always order veggie juice or energizer to avoid the sugar added flavours. Ooo and bubble tea drinks are also amongst their popular drinks! I always get carrot, apple and spicy ginger. Love my ginger spicy... but you can definitely ask for mild if you want less heat :) They always juice the real stuff and do not use concentrate. #hangoverremedy lol.
