CoCo is located right across the street from Neiman Marcus, on the outskirts of Marriot hotel. PARKING TIPS -you can park in the hotel retail parking spots! So I finally came here with my Boba addict sister, she's been telling me about CoCo. Apparently it is a popular bubble tea chain from Taiwan, where bubble tea is from. They're running a grand opening promotion which is you buy one of the drinks on their top 10 menu and you get a regular tapioca milk tea for free. We got a large milk tea 3 guys which contains milk tea, tapioca, grass jelly, and egg pudding (there's no better combo than this!) at 70% sweetness. Their milk tea is creamy and tapioca has nice chew to it. Personally, I like my milk tea with stronger tea flavor, their milk tea is pretty standard, meaning not enough tea flavor and very much just creamer and sweetness. The flavor is good, just not of my personal preference. Customer service is your standard bubble tea customer service. No greeting, no smile, but gets your order done. read more

Finally, COCO opened in Bellevue near Seattle. This is a quite popular drink bar who has lots of stores all aver the world. To celebrate its opening, they offered buy one get one free. So I had my taro sago milk tea with a cup of pear milk tea free. Taro sago milk tea looks purple, 'cause it mixed taro with milk tea, and sago is my favorite topping! I've been here a few times and have enjoyed the bubble tea each time. Yes, the wait times are long and I'd suggest not going during an evening rush. The 3 guys is my favorite and I like the fact you can alter the sweetness/ice amounts. I'd suggest offering a loyalty program such as stamp cards, for frequent customers. Really delicious bubble tea! However, please make sure your staff is well trained on your menu. The menu is quite big and there is a lot on the menu that many Americans might not know about. I asked a couple questions and the girl at the register seemed annoyed by my simple questions on some of the ingredients and had a very hard time trying to explain to me in English. This has quickly become my go-to boba spot in downtown Bellevue. Their tea tastes great and the boba taste sweet but not too sweet - just like they should! Sometimes there can be a bit of a wait time but they work efficiently and it's never gotten too crowded for me. I will say that I like the pudding a bit better at Drive Thru Boba a few blocks away, I think it has better caramel flavor and a softer texture, whereas the pudding here is very firm. But since the wait time is so much shorter, I'm usually willing to make that tradeoff. read more

EXCELLENT DRINKS. AWESOME SERVICE. When I went, they were just opening and just offering their top ten drinks. I got the Three Guys 30% no ice, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The wait was around 5-10 minutes since there was a bunch of people ordering. Their Tapioca balls are actually much better than the standard ones that are sort of bland! Really nice place. The only problem i have is parking. The place is small but feels very warm. I got the milk tea (with tapioca pearls) and it tasted really good! The milk tea itself isnt too sweet and it tasted alot like condensed milk. The tapioca pearls are very chewy without being soggy and isnt bland. The pearls are nice and sweet but not too sweet. CoCo's tea is good quality, and you can definitely tell. They're pretty fast, have pretty good customer service, but the best thing about CoCo is how consistent they are. Their drinks are very consistent -- you can order something one way and it'll always taste the same. But what's really amazing is that they're consistent over countries, so you know you can go to Taiwan, Canada, Japan, or Australia, and your drink will always taste the way you want it. One might even say...they're the Starbucks of tea? :P Anyways, try the Green Tea Yakult with sago or Fresh Orange Green Tea with sago. Workers here are so sweet! They were very helpful and understanding when I couldn't make up my mind on a drink. The atmosphere here is very clean, quiet, and well organized. The menu is easy to read and has photos available too. I like how you are able to choose the amount of ice you are served, but I wouldn't say I was extremely wowed by the drinks I ordered. Also, the packaging of the cups aren't that durable as they didn't survive a drop in my driveway, but the workers were nice enough to put our carrier in a bag, so the drinks were able to be saved. I wouldn't say I would visit again, but it would be a nice place for a student to study or have a meeting with someone. read more

7/21/20 8:00pm - We just got out of CoCo and our drinks were actually really good but the customer service was disheartening. I don't even remember a 'hello' just, 'are you ready to order?'. When we ordered our drinks, we were asked what sweetness level we prefer. We told the cashier that since it was our first time here we will start with regular. But we asked if it was okay for them to adjust later if it was too sweet. The cashier said, "we'll have to charge you for another drink if you want us to adjust it. We can't replace or adjust a drink after it's been made." She then had the audacity to ask us "is that okay with you?" Not a very welcoming first time lol... Interestingly, Happy Lemon, 20oz tea, Kung Fu Tea and basically EVERY OTHER boba place is always more than happy to adjust or replace our drinks to make sure we leave satisfied and fulfilled... What makes Coco different? They're either lazy or greedy... or both? Don't really wanna come back. Mostly because I don't want my money contributing to pay employees like her. We came here for the first time 2 years ago and was put off by the unpleasant customer service but did enjoy our drinks. We came again recently and did not realize they were closing in 10 minutes. We normally would never be one of the "last minute" customers because I work in food service as well and know how that is. Right when we walked in, the girl at the front looked at us and yelled "LAST CALL" instead of saying hi or hello. We felt bad for coming in late and pressured since she yelled that out so I told my fiancé to just order one drink. He ordered and also asked about an item that he thought they had. She said they didn't have it and I could see the other two girls behind her look at each other and start laughing at what he said. I could clearly hear them. To make matters worse, our one drink we ordered tasted like straight up sugar and milk with no tea. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they purposely didn't put any tea in it. It's so disappointing that both experiences we had were unpleasant mainly because of customer service where we didn't feel welcome both times. :( read more

Great drinks! For me, customer service was good, considering it was a soft opening and there were people lined up out the door. There was a bit of confusion as to where the line started and ended, but soft openings are for weeding out those problems. I ordered the milk tea, half sugar, and it was amazing. Just how I remember it from China. I think that as the crowd dies down and Coco's Seattle is open for longer, there will be fewer issues, so just keep that in mind. read more

I love this place and always try to stop by whenever I'm in Bellevue. Their royal milk tea, which is the only one I've tried, is made with such high quality in my opinion. The normal sweetness is perfect for me and the milk is creamy and delicious. I get it with regular tapioca which has the perfect chewy texture. The sweetness is also adjustable. Haven't tasted any of their fruit blends or other drinks but I would recommend the royal milk tea if there is anything you should try! They also offer drinks in two separate sizes, unlike many other boba shops. They have a small and large. The large is almost twice as much drink as the small and just 50 cents more so it's definitely a better deal. A lot of people just end up getting the large from my observations. Great place though, probably my favorite joint to get milk tea. Hopefully their card machine isn't still broken from the last time I was there - you'd have to enter everything manually and I waited nearly half an hour in line to order. Best milk tea hands down. Beats any other chain or shop I've tried. I got 50% sugar pearl milk tea and the flavor was so perfect. You could taste the tea with a hint of milk which is how milk tea should taste and it wasn't dark in color from all of the sugar. It looked like milk and tea mixed together. The tapioca was chewy and soft and cooked through but not soggy. Will be back over and over. Please open a location up north! read more

Got the Grand Opening part one BOGO promo of getting a top 10 from the menu and got a pearl milk tea free, which was descent. You can customize the amount of ice and sweetness of your drink. Busy during peak hours of the day. Two areas to sit and enjoy the delicious drinks. Worth the short walk to the new tea and juice place. Drinks took a bit to arrive since they were so busy. They are in a great location around all the offices, have the option of ordering online and picking it up, and have the less sugar and ice customization. Online menu is incongruent with In store menu. Ordered a coconut bubble tea with pineapple jelly, no tapioca. I was very clear. Due to the fact that there was no coconut flavour, returned the item with receipt and was told that they don't have coconut bubble tea. Then why the hell did the girl take my order and what the hell was I sipping? The guy making the drink at the sink, was wringing out a dirty rag (ok, maybe it was clean) but I hate the thought of water from the rag, ending up in my cup. It seems that this is not what I think of as traditional flavoured bubble tea. It was only the jelly that was coconut flavour. (I ordered Pineapple jelly) This tea is basically black tea with a lot of cream. I can make this at home so why would I pay $4.75 for a tea drink that is easily duplicated at home? One can even find the small flavoured jelly nowadays at Uwijimaya and HMart. Never again. They were unapologetic and rather argumentative but I insisted on some sort of compensation. it wouldn't be. reach to say that this place has changed my life. before Coco, i didn't even like or even want to try any bubble tea. i didn't see anything special in it but my sister once invited me to come try Coco and i agreed. i got the mango green tea with coconut jelly and it stirred up my world of taste. i really fell in like with the mango green tea as well as many other offered beverages. i'm frankly quite thankful for the people who have opened up this shop, the location is amazing my and the service is outstanding. i now come here with my sister from one to five times a week, maybe even more. if anyone is thinking about visiting this shop, i'd suggest you do for sure! i'm sure you won't regret it. thank you to everyone who makes each experience and visit delightful. p.s. it would be awesome if tacos were served here ! read more

I love that there are so many good boba shops now in downtown Bellevue, all within a 1-2 mile radius. I just wish they'd open up in Seattle! I've been here several times already, and I enjoy the drinks here. I usually just go for something simple, like milk tea with boba. It's pretty good. You really can't go wrong with this place. Found a piece of thin metal wire(2 cm long) in my drink. Brought it back to the staff; their response was not very apologetic. They just offered me a new drink. It's dangerous to consume a piece of sharp metal, and could easily be missed especially through a wide straw. Funny this place has an "excellent" food safety rating. read more
